I love it, tjeepest wai to get back those three Leper Gnome you got from Toxic Reinforcements :P
But seriously, yeah I hope this sees some play,
Seems a bit slow since DR usually doesn't do much the turn they come into play except for maybe Teacher's Pet, Zixor, Apex Predator which are good, hmm and Mok'Nathal Lion that copied those, so who knows?
*oow Claw Machine, this might just work
wont resummon the lion, it most have deathrattle itself
Control Hunter has a long way to go to become viable again, this particular card for Hunter is quite.....ambitious to say the least.
Too bad this isn't a Warrior Card, would have been absurd with Rattlegore LMAO
Oh it's not priest, rez is ok!
It doesn't matter that it's been a HUGE issue for the hearthstone community for multiple expansions!
It's not priest!!
Soon we'll have Hunter Rez decks Warlock Rez decks and everyone will be shouting for glee because...
You guessed it! It's not priest.
Hypocrites...
Now that the rant is over, I do have to say it's not the best for curve but it can definitely make for a comeback in those aggro decks.
Its not Hypocrite, i didnt have a problem with rez priest the fisrt year, then blizzard kept printing resurrect card and minions that were a pain in the ass to kill over and over, yeah, i rather have this effect in a class that barely touched the theme with its class cards instead another support for a class im tired to see resumoning the same 4 minions
so it's ok for a broken mechanic (according to many players) to be given to a class that has a very common high amount of play and win rate (again according to many players)
And it's ok that at the theme of the classes in the game are becoming blended so none of the classes are unique?
Or is it ok that one class (priest) has all the other classes take it's theme so that it doesn't have a theme of its own?
Revenge of the Wild has shown resurrect is not an issue in Hunter, nor was Priest's "class identity" ruined.
Hm, no, hunter has just one resurrect card (instead of years of spels and minions specificly pushing that arctype like priest does and being succesful good part of them) , and is really conditional, but it has deathrattle stuff, so this fits the class, what hunter does not have obsidian statues, GReTingS fElLa huMANS heheHehe and ways to cheat out minins early without having just barnes and y'shaarj alone in the deck, the max you can spect as defensive toll is a kartut defender. this wont resummon ragnaros, lich king, yshaarj, vargoth etc, yeah will be dificult to clear, but just twice, not 30 times, and just if hunter gets to late game, something that priest is used to du due the ton of good removals the class has its minions included.
the only deadly shot in a stick (deathrattle i mean) hunter has is a 3 mana 2/2 mech in wild which basically has the extra text, if you are agro "hit me in the face anyway", and control "remove me im a 2/2 and you don have minions this early anyway"
Really tough to play on curve and get value, it basically kills any deathrattle below 3 being run unless you don't mind losing value. Even then you are just putting a bunch of stats on board. Maybe there is some secret with running the mech deathrattle cards to take advantage of a midrange aggro playstyle, but dragons still exist till 2021 and that does that better than whatever that deathrattle thing would be.
Deathrattle Hunter in Wild might finally have enough juice.
pure trash, even in wild
favorite card so far
ah yes, because Hunter cards that cost higher than 6 have historically been bangers!
tbh i feel like each class should have a Blizz employee that represents it and ensures thematic card design, the way MTG has "Color Ambassadors" so that each color still keeps its identity in check. Maybe then we could have somebody who cares about Hunter designing Hunter cards.
Hey man its me again I just wanted to ask, don't you think it might do whatever in a slower meta within a midrange deck ? NOT saying decent tier but saying whatever tier. Like a worse Call of the Wild
But that's not the meta we're getting. None of the classes that are getting control cards printed are classes that have good cards this rotation. The meta isn't going to slow down. It's tempo demon hunter and pure paladin forever. The current version of highlander hunter doesn't even run cards this expensive, it just runs polkelt to pull brann and then everything else is 4 mana or less.
Yeah well that's why I said "in a slower meta", there is no way any kind of midrange deck can ever see turn 4 without hitting 15 hp when against Libram Paladin. Also with the addition of Il'gynoth i'm pretty sure you'll die on turn 5 against Demon Hunters
maybe. Problem is Deathrattle is an inherently slow mechanic that requires too many synergies/too much mana investment to really make quicker. If the meta were slower, MAYBE this could generate a solid amount of value in the late game, but to contest something like Priest Paly or Mage you'd need really solid Deathrattles. In Wild there's definitely more of a home for this deck, with access to really good Deathrattles. One of Call of the Wild's strengths was a lack of necessary setup. It was strong on it's own, but you need to draw and invest mana and cards in hand in order for this to do anything. And it needs to hit good Deathrattles, which makes the ones you can run more narrow.
This would probably be the top of the curve for a Midrange Deathrattle list in MADF Standard, but I'm not sure how well that list could perform in a meta that could be too aggressive for it.
Yeah you are right, the thing with hunter deathrattles is that your opponent generally doesn't want to kill it off so you would intentionally kill off your own Savannah Highmanes and so on. I just thought this card might have been not that shit but it really is, man im getting delusional at this point I guess. There is no way you can compare this to Call of the Wild
summons 3 lil fellas for 8 mana so i get it. don't be so hard on yourself
