I like that Mage has this mechanic of minion placement. This is a great card for aggro, Mage needs something other than Ice Barrier for those matchups.
I'm glad they made it Epic, I'm tired of having to play only Warrior and Mage in arena to get those free 12 wins.
Still it will appear in the tons of Discover a spell and Evocation and people will suffer it with Azure Explorer (that any good mage in arena have at least one and generally more).
Oh I can't wait to keep playing Mage as all metas since Arena exists xD
...
Now that I think maybe the Azure Explorer + this card could work in constructed, who knows?
not a game changer.. but is a must have in all next standard mage decks

Pretty decent. Pretty good with Headmaster Kel'Thuzad, in some scenarios you can summon two to three minions easily.
"Spontaneous," even.
This card is not only interesting in its effect, but it’s also very good because of its versatility.
Early you have your choice to kill one healthy minion, or several small ones. But notice also later in the game you can use your minions to manipulate enemy minion health to make the most of this. Plus it’s great with spell power, and Rolling Firebell, and the new Kel Thuzad legendary. It also just makes your hero power better because now you won’t feel so bad paying two mana to ping the 2/2 in the middle of two 3/3’s, as you HP essentially did two damage.

Decent early game control card. It's not nearly as good as Breath of the Infinite or Volcanic Potion but it's playable.
Aggro decks better learn their minion placement now.
You’re forgetting that Mage has a lot of cheap ways to increase spell damage.

Jesus christ, the wording is very clear. 4 damage to a minion, if it kills it, the remaining damage is received by both neighboring minions - ie kills 1 health minion -> minions adjacent to that minion receive 3 damage both.
Very good against Demon Hunter. It either deals 2 damage to all the 2 health minions like Satyr Overseer, or it can deal 4 damage to Hench-Clan Thug. It can also reliably kill Murloc Warleader and Southsea Captain. Not great vs Odd or Mech Paladin though.
You probably run it alongside Volcanic Potion in Reno Mage.
it only hits 3 minions at most and choosing minion with lowest health is essential so there are too many conditions applied to benefit from this card.

I think this will see quite a bit of play in Standard. Quite often, this is a 3 mana board clear. Granted it only applies to smaller boards but even so. But even just looking at it strictly from a removal standpoint, generally speaking any card that can remove up to 3 minions from your opponent's board reliably for only 3 mana has seen and will continue to see play.

But seriously, I think Combustion is a decent card. It also gives a lot of value for Spell Damage and is a cheap option to activate your Spellburst. By the way, will Overkill finally be viable? :O
