HCT World Championship Stream

thanks bunny for getting me MAX minus one packs ;) you rock and are still my favorite ;)
congrats to hunterace and viper for reaching the finals, you gave us all a thrilling show!
So glad I voted for Roger and used my curse for heroic purposes. Cheater deserves to fucking lose.
Wow, I actually picked the winner for once.
How many packs for Bunnyhoppor?
I guess 4
3. Only viper and hunterace score 4 packs for their voters
Well better than nothing I guess. And thanks for answering my question.
ur welcome ;)
just to make sure: it's far better than nothing.
avg number of packs one can expect is 1.875 if 50:50 would be the case. most players have no idea and maybe just voted for a random guy. others voted for big names, but on average i think we don't surpass 2 packs. so ... 3 packs is not only beating minimum, but also beats average ;)
It changed this championship, you actually get 4 for BunnyHoppor, 5 for Viper and 6 for Hunterace.
yeah, i did read that by now. thanks for the information, though!
if one would have picked a player randomly, the new average is a bit higher (4*1 + 4*2 +2*3 +2*4 + 5 + 6 = 37; divided by 16 players is 2.3125). Since the ones scoring more packs this year were largely better-known players, the actual average might be 2.5 (I bet a lot of people just select based on no knowledge at all). so ... 4 is still quite nice!
NP, I was glad to find out Id' get 4 packs instead of the 2 I thought at first.
I really wonder what the actual percentages were of people voting for each of the top4 players, since all got 4+ packs...
unless blizzard tells us, we will never know. Asking around here will give a biased view. My guess is, that it's probably still <33%. Almost all participants were well known players with certain achievements
I was going to vote hunter as well just based on a hunch, but I decided to go with the data for once and picked roger.
ah well, GZ to Hunterace for his victory, and well done to all the players for getting as far as the HCT.
Also GZ to everyone on your packs... yeah even the 1 pack club. ha ha.
May you all get some decent pulls (I got a golden Lucentbark from one of my free packs)
What an amazing final! I slept 2 hour less today because of that, but oh, how little I care... The last game was one of the sickest match ever, and it was the goddamn final!! They could not make it this spectacular neither if Blizzard tried to pilot everything from the background... What more could you ask from a final?? Oh, yeah, packs!! And I'm glad I picked right for one time! :D
glad i picked the winner correctly, yaay :) congrats to the guy, too
Last game was insane.
Game #5 of the finals was officially the most insane game I have ever seen in Hearthstone, period.
Also makes me rethink the Arch-Villain Rafaam inclusion in my Zoo.
winter HCT when bunny played with even paladin against quest rogue => can recommend that match to you.
early quest activation and nonetheless bunny managed to outvalue and outfatigue quest rogue. the commentators went nuts.... and he always played around a card his opponent drew as his 30th card, which made it even harder. I voted for bunny multiple times before, but that match convinced me he's better than most.
(though, maybe i should have listened to bunny - he once said he thinks that hunterace is better than him when asked whether he thinks he's the best player in the world)
I'm pretty certain I've seen that match, if only for the reason I've made a habit of watching all HCT seasonal championships... I might watch it again, but winning against and endless stream of Legendaries AND your opponent stealing your hand TWICE...
There were no less than awesome players in the tournament, but only one can be the world point leader, and the only one who did not qualify through seasonal championships. He totally deserved it. A tad shame Viper cost me the final pack when he beat Bunny in the semi finals. again.
for sure hunterace deserved the win ;)
he no doubt is damn good. didn't see the full match, maybe i need to watch it. in my memory bunny's win with even paladin against quest rogue was the most memorable match i have seen (but then i have seen only very few - i know that i missed out on some amazing matches)
