The left is a Mantid and right is a Silithid High Priest. Followers of C'Thun and Yogg
Though I agree on the old gods the left is most definitely a Nerubian after closer look not a Mantid. You can tell by the eyes and the abdomen in the background. But they do indeed worship the old gods as most of the incectoid races were created by the old gods. The ones in Northrend were under the control of the Lich King
Actually, Genius is a nerubian vizier (just like Fatespinner, Deathspeaker and Venomancer) and Conscripter is one of qiraji (just like Skeram Cultist). The latter, as you guys mentioned, is a prophet of the Old Gods and it makes sense in Priest because Madame Lazul, who is connected to them, is a Priest as well. EVIL Miscreant is a kobold and makes sense in Rogue because Togwaggle is a Rogue too. The nerubian one, you would assume, would be connected to Rafaam following the same logic, yet he's really not as there were zero nerubians or anything similar in LoE. I hope I made it clear now.
There will definitely be some sort of token themed warlock zoo deck with EVIL Genius, Alot of other self sacrifice cards haven't been amazing, but instead of a simple state boost, or an extra adapt in a zoo deck. This is providing two strong 1 drops, that will work really well in the playstyle of deck you are already playing, Grim rally, Knife juggler, (I will probably be running scarab egg when testing this deck), I preferred the older swarmish zoo decks compared to the newish healing ones we have gotten, excited to see what else we get.
It would be really nice if posts like this simply indicated if the card were a neutral or class card, and indicate the class in the latter case. If there's no link to look up the card, I always have to go elsewhere to find out this information.
OK, I just remembered about the color of the border. Have never paid attention to that. My bad, I guess.
I'm confused... Do you not know that the card colors show the class?
I agree!
You can tell for minions or spells, but weapons do not have any unique identifiers afaik.
Each of the 9 classes have unique borders for class minions and spells, but not weapons.
HearthPwn should add the Class as well.
Weapons can actually be distinguished by the colour in the lower half of the card.
E.V.I.L. vs EVIL. Consistently inconsistent!
Warlock card seems really bad. The only self sacrifice card that has ever seen seriousplay is Dark Pact to activate Cube.
Priest actually doesnt seem too bad, if there is something priest has always been missing , is a solid 2 drop. This might be good , especially if there is some lackey synergy to go with it.
Maybe if they keep adding more cards that require sacrifice it will reach a critical mass of sac-- waaait a minute that's stupid.
There's a currently popular Egg Zoo that benefits greatly from self-sacrifice. There were even more broken egg-based Zoolocks in the past. So your assessment is demonstrably incorrect.
I'm still here guys. Waiting for that BIG PRIEST counter card.
Big Priest will leave with the rotation. All the resurrect cards are from the year of the mammoth.
And wild is not a game mode, as we all know
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Most of the lackeys are better than a card you could put in your deck. That makes the priest 2/2 theoretically a lot better than loot hoarder, because it has more stats and it draws a better card. A similar case can be made for the warlock card, it has a drawback (or upside with eggs) and gives you two pretty strong cards. The caveat, of course, is that you have to be playing a deck that can actually use 1-cost minions well in the late game. But if your deck is reasonably minion based, has sacrifice synergy, or there is some other lackey-specific synergy, they look quite strong.
If only deathrattle synergies and devilsaur egg didn't rotate...
we still have some cards to support this strategy, and more will coming...
Well yeah but best egg still rotates... Sad times
