I'd rather have Blizzard steal cardmechanics from Mtg and other CCG then coping there own...
I mean, they would probably be more interesting if they did. Recycling Golden Monkey and Fantastic Treasures from Marin the Fox is pretty lame. It might be acceptable for some minor cards, but doing it for significant class legendaries is weak.
This expansion is more like a "Recap of the last 5 years of hearthstone" expansion. So cool down and enjoy it. The only thing that i dont like is that Dr.Boom is in the evil league. Its too many characteres from the newer expansions (Boomsday, Witchwood..)
Meh it's not like the treasures saw much play. They're still pretty fresh. The problem is if they're going to be game breaking. Particularly the wand.
Well, and you are a huge troll or you were watching the stream while working or doing something else. Cause there is no way that was a good stream, even less the best one they've ever had. They roped every single turn just to make obvious (and sometimes even sub optimal) decisions, even when they didn't have to play new cards but just old ones.
I can say for sure that most of us didn't expect to see tournament-like games (players completely silent, perfect plays and almost zero time wasted) because they had to showcase new cards and sell preorders, but damn some turns were literally rage-inducing: I know that those people know what HS is, but they didn't really gave that impression.
It's true that it's not all Cora's fault as someone stated (you're an hypocrite if you think it: she had the control, but there were three grown and paid people on that couch), but she definitely didn't help the community to give her the credit she might have deserved.
Another thing: you may mistaken lightning the mood with embarrassment. When you play a Lackey-related card and you don't get anything back every single time (awkward bug) and you laugh for the next 15 seconds, you are not energetic: you're simply trying (with not many results) to move away the attention from that huge flaw.
Finally, some of your downvotes may be undeserved, but you clearly stated something wrong in a moment where people's hype was completely annihilated.
And who actually told you that there purpose was to made the most optimal plays? Purpose of the stream was to show case cards. They decided to do it as hearthstone game. Oh wait. You maybe prefer 5 minutes long stream of few mirrors matches of zoo lock? And about bugs... it happens. What do you suggest to do? To stop the stream and go to fire all development office?
They have already fired most of them lol.
Jokes aside: no, and if you read carefully my post I would have clearly understood it. You are supposed to show the new mechanics and, at the same time, show how they interact with the older ones, right? Chakki (their opponent) did it perfectly: he played well and at the same time he gave attention to the new stuff (see his ZooLock deck with Rafaam: he actually achieved to make a bad card like Rafaam's Scheme seem playable). Kibler has done the exact same thing every time he has been invited.
I'm not implying that the events should be always casted by the same people, but this time it's undeniable that it wasn't a success.
Feel free to disagree, I don't want to change your mind at all costs, but that's how things went.
And how it was adequate calling someone a troll, because he said that he liked the stream? Or you know better what he need to like?
I can't say that personally it was pretty interesting for me, but I am not here to convince you what you need to like. Much more useful would be if people actually commented cards, not the quality of the girl's play.
Not because he liked it (who am I to decide what people should like), but because he said it was the best ever. If you are an honest person, you must admit that such a statement might result really strange.
Moreover, he explained himself saying that he wasn't paying a lot of attention to the stream, so that' why. You're making a big deal out of it without any reason whatsoever.
P.S.: you can both comment the (poor) quality of the stream of rate the new (great) cards: check out my posts, I'm not here just to criticize as you might have thought.
How is that a "joke"? It sounds more like something people like you actually believe, except maybe thinking it's an exaggeration, whereas it's not even an exaggeration but rather simply not true at all. I say this because other people have directly said as much. But I'm guessing if I just pointed out that they DIDN'T fire developers, you'd claim you don't have to be accurate because it's a "joke" -- even though there's nothing humorous going on there to someone who knows it's too untrue to even be called an exaggeration.
"People like you": I stopped reading at this exact point. I don't care what I'll miss: if someone wants to argue on everything then I'm out.
Take things as they should be taken: slightly. The user that replied my first comment made an exaggeration and I used some irony to tone down the discussion: if you aren't able to understand at least that much and you feel like you should label me as "people like you" then go ahead. Damn so many sophists for so little things.
Original Dr. Boom was OP because there were not that many other overpowered cards back then. Blastmaster Boom is not comparable imo, maybe 2-3/5 stars.
It's not really dumb. It's a control archetype, and it hard counters Mechathun and that garbo Shirvallah otk. It also soft counters anything with high draw such as some mage build, ele sham, and miracle/espionage rogues
I really like what I see so far and there will of course be a couple new archetype that will come to be and I appreciate what blizzard is offering us this time around. I don't know if anything we have seen will be grossly overpowered but I am hyped to see what else is in store!!
In the meantime here's a quick card review vid, I hope you enjoy !!
I am not.
They let that girl play and host for the sake of diversity. If you do this again get a girl with a grasp of the game like Alliestrasza or Hafu not this bumbling idiot with 0 deduction skill. If you force diversity on us let them atleast have skill.
You think diversity means inviting a girl to do the reveal stream? I had not heard of the girl so I decided to do a quick search only to see she is more than qualified in hearthstone casting and has shown herself to be a hearthstone enthusiast through the amount of work and events she has previously done. I for one think its nice to have different faces do the reveals and I found her much more watchable than the boy they had to push the bundles and make some awful jokes.
Nobody is "forcing diversity" the fact is girls are members and online game enthusiasts too. She didn't make as many mistakes as some of the previous streamers who couldn't even count the cards in their hand?
At least she didn't make me close the stream in annoyance like Day9 managed to do. That's already a big plus on my side. X'D
AND they didn't even have notes, if I remember right most of the time they have a basic script to go off. I think it was a bit cringe in parts but overall I'm not mad there were some new faces to reveal new cards!
Day9 is a treasure, Cora was a good player she knew what was he talking, but man she annoyed the hell out of me whit the slow ass plays and the roping every turn, maybe was awkward playing with a screen so far away but why move the mouse so slow, couldn't take stopped watching after the third game
