In current meta - nobody, because hunter - tier 1 and there's too many Baku decks which are mostly aggro/tempo based. But again at the start of Boomsday, when pogos just appeared they were already like Quest rogue (insane vs control, bad vs aggro) and with new Togwagle scheme they got a buff, so there's a decent chance they will be played and might even become meta-deck. But it's just my predictions - we'll see when the new expansion comes out of course.
Thematically, it's very fitting.
Madame Lazul is supposed to be some sort of fortune teller, e.g. take a look at her pseudo tarot cards.
And getting to see your opponent's hand in a card-game is sorta like seeing the future.
I'm sure this will be a decent to good card, but It's just not interesting for a legendary. For a legendary I'd expect something like:
6 mana 4/5, play a copy of a random card(Or spell, or minion) from your opponent's hand at the end of your turn.
Or just something with more 'oomph' to it. This card isn't bad gameplay, but it's not a card anyone would consider their favorite, nor is it a card I'd ever craft just for the fun of it. It just feels like a rare/epic card.
I believe that if this was a 2 cost spell with the same effect, it would see play. Attach a 3/2 body for 1 mana it's a strong card. Maybe not in other classes, but great priest card.
Good? Maybe. Boring effect? Definitely.
Is the best Legenday in this expansión, it tells you 3 cards that your opponent has in your hand and that you can choose one!!! WTF
Is really WOW!!
It should be rare or epic card !
Legendary???
It's depressing that this isn't a 3/3 . It could have been an actually great tool.}
Priest traditionally will only use Standalone good cards with no synergy to the rest of his Deck ONLY if the Card is AMAZING (example: Northshire Cleric / Kabal Talonpriest / Priest of the Feast)
If the non-synergy standalone card falls a bit short on the power level it won't be used especially in Aggro heavy metas. So although we can't predict the future we can estimate that this won't have an irreplaceable spot it Priest Decks 70% of the time. It could work beautifully in Control fatigue matchups though ( but when has hearthstone ever seen a fatigue exclusive meta? )
This could have been an auto-include as a standalone card with no synergy at 3/3 but at 3/2 it dies TOO easily and it will be a huge tempo loss against aggro, while 3/3 for 3 mana would have been just perfect.
Do you guys remember kazakus? Nobody complained about his 3/3 stats for 4 right?
Kazakus spells are way more powerful than the opponent's "Hex or Hagatha or Bloodlust"
Kazakus can summon a board full of big minions and destroy enemies minions at the same time.
this game is beyond fucked.. nothing but money now. I am sad it took the best devs to leave to turn this game into utter shit now,
cool story
no one cares.
Good control tool, and seems like priest will get some pretty good ones (Italian streamer Attrix said that he had the chance to play with some of the new cards and there will be a non legendary priest card that works amazingly with the new 0 mana epic).
I just wish had a better body: if not 3/3 at least 2/3, to better synergize with hero power and don't die by backstab, si:7, consecration and so on
2 Mana Body, one Mana for 1 Card, and its Discover, so pretty good.
The Bonus of knowing your opponents Hand is also pretty good. VS control, you can deduce how far you can go, vs aggro it is obviously worse but you can still deduce for example how much reach they have and if you need to heal/armor or not.
It's unclear how it works if the opponent has less than three cards in hand: do you discover from 2 or 1 options instead of three? And if the opponent has zero cards, you get no copy to discover?
I expect she works like cards like Shadow Visions, where having fewer than three targets limits you to discovering two or even one card. Her battle cry will do nothing if your opponent has no cards.
good card ... Control
Feels like another chameleos... Exept you chose from 3 different ones instead of random but you have to play a 3 mana 3/2 in addition of what you copy. I'm not sure in what kind of Priest you'd want to play that. Against aggro it's completely useless ; against decks based on some kind of synergy it's pretty much useless ; against control you're just getting a 3/2 to get a control card that you could naturally have in your deck instead.
Maybe if you're able to steal a Hero Card it could be nice, but there's going to be only Zul'jin Hagatha and Dr.Boom left, and even then if your opponent has the classic 9 cards in hand, you have to draw Lazul and play her before they play their Hero, and then it's 1/3 to find it out of the discover.
btw I think the scouting effect is completely irrelevant just as much as Chameleos was. At some point in the meta you know every card your opponent is playing anyway so it won't be like "oh wow he actually plays that I have to completely change my gameplan !". You can't even play around things either, because let's say you don't find brawl in your opponent's hand with this, does it mean he doesn't have it in his hand ? Scouting one third of their hand is completely useless.
Just knowing 3 cards from your opponent hand seems very good!
PS When is the "New expansion"-link in the upperbar going to change?
