waaaaaaaaaaaay to OP
This is a good addition to the mind reading priest meta... if only it existed! Chameleos is legendary ready, so extra additions help to bulk up the deck.
Hopefully we just havent seen the cards that go with it yet, but a pretty lackluster legendary for a mechanic that's not currently usable in standard.
Well, it has a greater chance in wild. I resume you are talking about meta in standard, but there are already several priest cards that allow you to copy cards from the other players hand or deck. I can't wait to try all of them together at some point and see what happens. I already like playing thief-rogue a lot.
It’s nice that they dialed down the strength of these legendaries. I’d rather an enemy Priest play something they picked from my hand than 2-3 Amaras in one game.
I perfectly agree with you: cards that singlehandedly slay the game aren't very fun if you're playing against them.
Interesting with Brann in Wild ?
Ultimately, Madame Lazul is a pretty interesting card, but I don't love it. Given that the body is totally useless for its cost, and all the value is knowledge and card advantage, the best comparison is clearly to Chameleos.
Madame Lazul can get you a lot more instantaneous knowledge about your opponent's hand, and you're guaranteed to learn about three cards in their hand (assuming they have three or more cards in hand). With Lazul you get to maintain your hand size when you get their card, which is valuable for cards like Twilight Drake, and if you get a good card that you can't play immediately, you'll still have that card later. Chameleos, might not enable you to learn about a lot of their cards, and you might not get the card you need when you need it, but you have the advantage of surprising your opponent.
I don't think that element of surprise is all that valuable compared to more consistent value, so I expect Madame Lazul to be way more playable than Chameleos. That said, she's no Drakonid Operative, and in a control vs. aggro match up her weak statline is a liability, so I expect she'll need a very slow meta to be worth teching into a deck.
Why does this comment have 6 dislikes? I mean even if you don't agree it is an opinion with nice and well pretty valid points without anything simmilar to recently popular comments like BLIZZ NERF or DUST.
downvotes are not only for when someone is wrong, or being an idiot, it is also a way of showing you disagree with them. this is a perfectly fine use of downvotes.
Never met a person that uses dislikes this way but I guess I am missing out on something :)
Sorry for being negative, but 3 mana 3/2 Battlecry: 86% Chance to dicover a card that won't help!
86% seriously. Would say more 80% useful. Even if it’s against aggro. 3 cards, on of them will help you for sure
86%?
I don't like this card per se,I love it's mere existence cause it gives me an initiative to play shit decks just to counter possibility of it being played out.
My opponent be like: what the hell is this guy playing?
Possible outcomes:
-dies from laughter
-confused concede
It's a win-win scenario,I give this a 10/10
possible outcomes:
-dies from laughter
-confused concede
-lose 9/10 games against not-priest because I am playing a crap deck
Knowing three cards from my enemies hand will change a lot! Information is great.
There's one additional benefit- your opponent doesn't know what you've seen. They'll have to assume you saw their plays and that will lead to some sub-optimal turns.
Looks like priest is really getting some good tools to use.
I can see this being even better as a 2/3 in Priest
3/3 would have been wow
My favorite thing about this Card is that it gives me some hope that we may have a Rafaam Warlock Hero Skin in the future. It shows once and for all the Blizz is 110% fine with characters being both cards and hero skins. Speaking about the card itself, it does show you three cards in your opponent's hand, likely making it an auto-include in most priest decks due to the information it gives. A good card indeed.
