Ok, now we just have to wait until blizzard reveals the golden legendary card that every one will be complaining about (cause they wont be able to disenchant it, like Marin the Fox last year)
People thought the Japanese are hunting whales to extinction, but Blizzard has only just started farming them.
Obviously they are charching that much because they can, the Hardcore - Fans will buy it anyway. But if you not a hardcore fan you wont pay 40 Bucks either. It is really ridicolous imHo...
You're basically just buying the digital goodies. That's what it comes down to, in my humble opinion. If you're a fan of things like the Legendary skins, bonus pets, card backs or whatever else, it's worth buying. Also, you get the option to buy the physical goody bag and other Blizzard shirts and things, so... that's a big part of the draw.
If it was really "$50, watch some streamed content" I don't think it would appeal to many people.
Personally I've gotten it in the past and made a big event out of viewing some of the announcements with a group... we play games, order food, and make a fun "at home Blizzcon" event out of it. I like the digital goodies, and get a lot of value out of watching the content with a group, so it's reasonably worth it.
I totally cannot get why you should pay for a virtual ticket. This is advertising for the company. I understand that you pay to be there, but when it comes to the stream, to me is like if Sony, Microsoft and the others, sold you a virtual ticket to see their e3 conference...
And this is no Blizzard fault: if people accept to pay money for something they shouldn't, as a business company is just normal that they continue to do it.
You still could say for some reason "it's not like watching a conference, to me I love it so much that is like going to a movie". Ok, but it's still 50$ and from your own device...
money money money...
Who the hell is paying that much for this in this day and age? The digital shinies are *that* good? If it's news you want, it'll be on the internet a few hours after it breaks at BlizzCon. At most.
I mean if people keep buying them i'd increase the price as well haha why not. I don't like it but we can only blame ourselves. People have complained before about blizzard and their pricing but it has not changed anything. It sucks man
but there is a way...
Wait... so are people seriously expected to pay $50 to get a golden legendary? How about no
how do you know that it will be golden legendary? I bet you will get cardback for 50 bucks Kappa
It's only a 20% increase for something that doesn't cost them any significant real money.
If only they gave a twitch emote I'd pay $100. Or $100 for a hero skin. $200 for a bundle with all 3? Save $50 - the value!
:P
well, maybe this year they will give something good.... *uhhffff*
I watched the whole Blizzcon last year and it was an ok experience, definitely worth the 40 bucks I paid; the downside is that I had to stay up until 3-4am to watch as much as I could as it happened. Not 100% sure if the content is worth 50 bucks tho.
This company is getting worse every day...
Blizzcooooooooooon, gogo Serral! oh ... wrong game :D
No info about in-game items. Last year there was nothing special, hope they have put more effort this year.
Blizzard have me in their pocket, not matter the price.
Feelbadman
what a joke!
what's up with all of this blizzcon stuff right now?
it's in november, not september
doesnt make any sense
