Missing Daily Quests? Try Changing Hearthstone's Game Language
Since the last patch, it's been a documented issue that daily quests are not appearing for some players. As frustrating as this has been, there's a simple fix that may work for you. Are you ready for this?
Switch your game language to German.
Or possibly any other language that isn't your default.
Yep. Try switching your language over and after a small patch is applied to your game, you should be able to login and get any daily quests you've missed, up to a maximum of three. Why this works we're not entirely certain, but you get bonus points if you continue playing in German. Everyone needs a bit of angry Hearthstone on occasion!
How to Change Hearthstone's Language
It wouldn't be very helpful if we let you figure this one out on your own since the option is a bit on the hidden side, but its real simple!
- Make sure Hearthstone is closed.
- On the Hearthstone game panel in your Battle.net Launcher, select the Options dropdown.
- Under Options, choose Game Settings.
- Under Game Settings, choose German/Deutsch from the Text & Spoken Language dropdown.
- Hit Done.
- Wait for your client to patch and start up the game!
Didn't Work For You?
Others have stated you may just be able to login and logout a few times to get them to appear.
I no receive any quest for 2 days, and at sunday i receive 2 quests
didn't work for me, I may have actually caught up now though. What time on EU do we get new quests BTW?
Orly? They still cant fix it?
No need to change the language. You only need to restart the client a few times, in my case it takes 4 times to restart the client. It was confirmed by a moderator in the technical assistance forums.
As a German i am very offended and angry about this angry-German cliché.
Dein Luftkissenfahrzeug ist voller Aale?
I also am angry as a German....DER SCHMETTERLING IST SEHR SCHON....and....ICH MAG DEN SCHOKOLADENKUCHEN!
I feel better now.
Du hast eine gute Krankenversicherung? (Also, wer mag den schokoladenkuche nicht?
GRÜßE Freund :D
Manchmal, der Schokoladenkuchen schmeckt wie Scheiße
thank you!
You must have meant << Danke >> ..! ^^
Yup, sorry bro
As a native German speaker, I can say that while the language certainly "sharper" than other European languages, besides perhaps Russian (IDK, I know like 5 words of Russian) but it is certainly capable of about the same range of sound as English, just the same as I would expect that a French speaker would have no difficulty sounding angry, regardless of having a more flowing language.
Simple restart didnt work for me. I had to start a (ranked) game and then restart HS. That helped ... lol. Will try to change the language next time, if it happens again.
Just restart the game a few times work fine as well.
