New Paladin Card Reveal: Lesser Pearl Spellstone
A new Paladin card has been revealed by Sung0.
A previous version of this article stated this card was named Lesser Fluffy Spellstone and had incorrect tokens. The correct tokens upgrade the Taunt minion to 4/4 and 6/6.

Oh wow, I was right!
You can't upgrade the Druid Spellstone more than once with one action (you need to gain 3 armor for it to go up, but playing Feral Rage and gaining 8 armor will only get you one upgrade). I would assume this works the same way, so it'd only upgrade one time.
I agree and disagree Rariow - Feral Rage is clearly one action, giving your Druid 8 armor all at once. However, something like Mistress of Mixtures restores 4 health to your hero and 4 health to your opponents hero. That could be considered two 'actions' depending on how Blizzard decided to treat this. For example, cards like Lightwarden will gain +2 attack twice, once for when your character is healed and again for when your opponent is healed.
However, I think Lesser Pearl Spellstone is asking for your own hero to be healed, not just any character. Maybe it should be reworded as to not be confusing.
I doubt the wording is confusing... it just says heal 3.... very clear. so either hero would be fine. Not sure about the upgrade... the 4 mana druid spell can upgrade their spell stone twice because it's 2 consecutive actions... but since mistress is simultaneous I'm not sure, and all the druid stuff is the hero doing it so I'm not sure about that either, maybe only spells work to upgrade it, which would make this a lot worse.
No, no. I think both mistress heals happen at once. None of the cards seem to suggest otherwise, but I havent tried it with blackguard soooo
With Mistress of Mixtures, both heals happen at the same time, but Lightwarden triggers because it's two characters, not two different heals per se. Also, this should work with any heal that a friendly card does, so Benevolent Djinn will trigger it, as will Chillblade Champion, or Earthen Ring Farseer on any target, be it friendly or not, because a friendly card is doing the healing. Basically, If Auchenai Soulpriest can turn it into damage, it can upgrade your Spellstone.
How does one restore 3 health to a 2/2? Or does the hero have to be restored?
Thanks!
I think people are underrating this card.spellstone is somehow similar to lost in the jungle when it comes to the snyergies but it is more flexible and better in the mid/lategame. most of my games as paladin main are lost due the fact that I am 1 turn "too late" with my win conditions. 3 2/2 taunts for 2 mana are good enough for me to give the card a chance.I see different scenarios. In aggro decks you might play this card + lifesteal minions + weapons. Hero keeps the board clear and gets healed from lifesteal (wickerflame/corpsetaker/chillblade champion) or truesilver. A divine shielded corpsetaker with lifesteal is completing the quest almost alone. The taunts come in handy if we have some minions to protect.midgame paladin/controlflooding the board with a 2 mana spell is very good, escpecially for tempo swings. equality into pyromancer into spellstone clears the board and 9dmg remain on the board as a threat (for 6 mana)nvm..it is only one taunt.. feelsbadman
lay on hands + spellstone in the same turn
spellstone + sunkeeper tarimequality + pyromancer + spellstone
spellstone + unidentified maulspellstone + bonemare
spellstone + cobalt scalebane
spellstone + spikeridged steed
It seems that the upgrade is 4/4 and 6/6. Wow, that's something else, can't wait to try the card. Also the Spirit reminds me the one summoned from the paladin spell in wow. https://hearthstone.judgehype.com/news/kobolds-et-catacombes-la-gemme-de-sort-du-paladin-se-devoile-153888/
Upgrade revealed. It's not two 2/2 or three 2/2, but 4/4, 6/6.
Confirmed

Y'all could probably add in the Spirit Guardian tokens too using the link I posted, if you so desired.
I'm not opposed to the idea, but the whole point of a keyword is to save text space and make the card more clear.
Making "Upgrade" a keyword saves literally 2 letters.
If Upgrade was a keyword, the parenthesis would also not be necessary.
I think this pretty much implies that there're no upgrade synergy cards e.g.draw a card with upgrade. I think this possibly means that upgrade might be a one time thing for this set only, at least that the plan for now.
It is not bad idea, that there is some spellstone for paladin based on healing, but my concerns is, that this is early game card and paladin in early game has no effective healing. You may play some healing, but most of them are a bit later in the game, when 3 taunt 2/2, may not be so valuable. Of course True silver may work, but I am not sure that true silver is the main idea for combo.
first off, this is not an early game card. all spellstones are expected to be late game.
though the initial card does seem fairly fine, 2 mana for 2/2 taunt. its pretty vanilla. but the whole point of the spellstones are to be slow cards that build up power over time. you are expected to get them early, hold on to them, and then play them mid/late game when you have fully upgraded them.
as for how to trigger them, its a mystery to me. truesilver would be a fairly poor way to do so since you need to heal 3 each time. 1 weapon will only upgrade it once over 2 turns as the weapon heals for 2 and the 2nd charge will have an over healing of 1. what you will need is cards that can heal or lifesteal 3 or more health every interaction. some strong canidates are Mistress of Mixtures, Earthen Ring Farseer, Lay on Hands, Ragnaros, Lightlord, Uther of the Ebon Blade, Chillblade Champion, Bloodworm, Corpsetaker , and Wickerflame Burnbristle if buffed. now there are others that can be used, but these are what are still used in the current meta. im sure they'll be adding more soon
