Are we Getting Another Exclusive Golden Legendary? BlizzCon 2017 Digital Goodies
Blizzard has unveiled all the BlizzCon goodies today, but Hearthstone's is a secret which will be available sometime after BlizzCon.
This is just like the 2013 BlizzCon announcement which showcased the legendary "Mystery Minion" which was later unveiled to be Elite Tauren Chieftain. It looks like we're not getting another card back this year, but maybe that's okay.
We're going to see the next Hearthstone expansion announced at this year's BlizzCon, so maybe this Golden Legendary is going to tie into that if it isn't an exclusive craft like Elite Tauren Chieftain's golden version.
You can obtain the BlizzCon 2017 Digital Goodies by buying a Virtual Ticket for $40 or if you're holding a physical BlizzCon ticket, which have been sold out for some time.
Other Goodies
Blizzard's other titles are also getting in-game goodies, most of which are available today.
- World of Warcraft: Stormwind Skychaser and Orgrimmar Interceptor
- Overwatch: BlizzCon 2017 Winston Skin
- StarCraft II: Junker SCV, Probe, and Drone Skins
- Heroes of the Storm: Nexus Razorback Mount…and More!
- Diablo III: Murkromancer Pet
Don't spend this money!
Will it be available to craft? I don't wanna spend $40 for one card...
If it works the same like with other promo cards, you will be able to craft normal version but not golden one.
If it is AFTER Blizzcon... Maybe it is a Legendary from the new expansion? Like a "Get lucky or get whatever legendary you want" kind of deal?
That woulnd't be bad and considering the community I bet it would be well taken as it wouldn't be anything exclusive but still something useful, it may even be one staple Legendary or a Legendary reward from the adventure portion of it but you get it golden as well? I'd like that.
Thank goodness it's not a card back. You don't even know how stressful it is, deciding what $40 card back I'm going to assign to a deck. Like, do I use this $40 card back, or this $40 card back. It's been real hard, Blizz. But at least this year, I won't have to deal with any strenuous decision-making.

Plot Twist: It's a copy of Millhouse Manastorm. No, not even a golden one.
If I had to take a stab at what's about to happen, The Headless Horseman will be arriving shortly. They've been including him in various banners and other pieces of media around the site, with said media dealing specifically with upcoming events. An expansion reveal of some kind is slated for this month, and now there's news of a special card. They mentioned in this post that it'll be available after Blizzcon. We'll likely be able to see The Headless Horseman in action for a bit before getting access to the card. This will happen, mainly to advertise the new expansion, to get people excited. Gotta cash in on that sweet hype. I'm all for the hype, so long as something worthy of time is produced.
Hope I'm right. Been waiting for the Horseman to show.
This one should work well right guys ?
Randomly casts one of the following spells:
1. Destroy all 5 health minions
2. Destroy all 10 cost cards from both player's decks and hands
3. Both players discard 5 cards
4. Both players lose 5 armor
Infestator isn't a word
I'd prefer refraining from making cards with the word random on them
This feels ominous...
It was about time they started to make more promo cards.
It is a new legendary that has end turns effect "at the end of your turn summon a random minion". Typically Blizzard.
Should be a gimmick legendary like.. 10 mana, 10/10, Battlecry: Switch decks with your opponent.
It will be a spell that says: Destroy all minions with 5 or more attack; Turn your hero power to: Deal 2 damage. After you play a card, refresh this. (Your hero power costs 0 this game).
I bet on a Murloc or Goblin of dubious utility.
To give some perspective for those worried over the viability of the Gold Legendary, too date two golds have have been awarded via promotional means. These are: -
So, if Blizz stick to a predictable pattern I'd suspect we'll see an appropriately costed 4/4 or 7/7 that has a severe RNG element to it. What I like about the design for these two cards above is that they don't convey any consistent advantage, which I think is important for the competitive scene.
As to what the minion, nothing other than a wild guess but I'd think it may be:
Gelbin was before they nerfed chiken. And that shit who gives +1+1 was ok, not now but in beta
And 1 of invention was funny and possible good - that who deal 1 damage when your cursor over on it.
