A card doesn't need to be OP to be played. Given the right meta people will play cards that fill in the weaknesses of their decks, and hard removal is definitely a weakness of druid (eg. Old Priest running loot hoarder due to lack of solid 2 drop)
I think he meant it's not GOOD against control, they have way more than enough removal to control your little 1/2s on the board at 5/6 mana
Situational removal that can be countered. 1/10. It even looks bad in arena.

I think this is blizzard way to implement 'color pie' system into hs. Like: Druids lack removal, Rogue lack AOE, Paladin lack direct damage, Warlock lack burst heal, etc... You need to stretch a little and play sub-par cards, if you wanna compensate for it.
Counter argument: Can drood please not get hard removal? I like class identity. Being able to actually have a safe big minion is fun.
I don't think Druid will ever get it. It's kinda class feature: Druid has no strong single removals, Rogue has no taunts, Hunter has no heal and so on.
Bad card. Stop making terrible theoretical situations and excuses. This is a terrible card.

People laugh at the mana cost of this card but what they don't realize it is costed correctly. You need to widen your narrow view from looking only at the "1/2" part of it.
Force of Nature and Doppelgangster both cost 5 mana summon 6/6 worth of stats. With this card you summon 2/4 worth of stats but with how poisonous works, attack is irrelevant in minion combat.
Now druids already got a powerful spell this set and I don't think this will see any inclusion in any deck because it is most likely designed to be picked from discover and random effects and maybe for building in deck restrictions decks like Reno.
Force of Nature is not seeing play whatsoever, and doppelgangster is only used it decks that can take advantage of the triple body, mainly, shaman evolve.
Still, I agree people are, as always, cheap naysayers in saying this is terrible. For a poisonous effect, 1/2 is far superior to 2/1 (I've seen the irrelevant comparison to pit snake), and the fact they don't have taunt is actually an advantage in a deck that runs many taunts. The 1/2 would actually be protected, where only aoe or direct spells would take care of them, in which case you could gain card advantage out of it.

But both Force of Nature and Doppelgangster suck ass on their own - not even close to constructed-level. The only reason the latter is used is because of evolve.
