Nerf Announcement
Quote from KeganbeIn an upcoming update, we will be making a balance change to the Rogue card: The Caverns Below.
The Caverns Below now reads: Quest: Play five minions with the same name. Reward: Crystal Core.
Since the release of Journey to Un'Goro, Hearthstone has enjoyed a wider variety of competitively viable classes and decks than ever before. We’ve been monitoring overall gameplay, and we’ve decided that—even though everything is varied and many decks are viable—a change to The Caverns Below is still warranted.
The Caverns Below is uniquely powerful versus several slower, control-oriented decks and played often enough that it’s pushing those decks out of play. This change should help expand the deck options available to players both now and after the release of the next expansion.

All a bunch of greedy bastards. No, there should be no dust included in this nerf. No reason too.
Can we dust the quest card for 1600 dust now that its being nerfed? :)
Yes.
The only decks this small nerf will really help are aggro decks.
Control and Tempo still get fucked vs. cancer rogue
Midrange maybe possibly has a chance now
This helps a lot of other decks, since it makes quest rogue weaker, and thus control stronger overall. Aggro already had a super good matchup with quest rogue, and now that it'll be a lot less prominent aggro will be much weaker, giving control some time to shine.
I didn't think this card was a problem until I played some F2P accounts over the weekend. At rank 20 and I run into a bunch of try-hards running this deck 5 days from the end of the season. They draw well and you have no chance, the don't and it's like you beating up a defenseless puppy for 3 or 4 turns. Awkward and reeks of Groupthink.
make it 6 and we start talking
A nerf that actually makes sense
Thanks Ben Brooooooooooooooode!
I opened this quest from pack a week ago and was really thinking to dust it but I decided to wait for possible nerf. Sometimes lucky ;)
The 30% is quest rogues upset that they can't abuse quest rogue anymore
or people that think this isn't enough of a nerf
What a simplistic view of reality.
Honestly, they should just nerf shadowstep. Make it 1 mana instead of free. That + this nerf would be a good overall nerf for this cancer quest.
Shadowstep nerf is fine imo, but two nerfs would just kill the archetype
I still think they should make the minions silenceable aswell. And make sure that cards with transform effects actually work as intended against them.
True!
Totally agree, that would be a subtle way to nerf it.
So.....
5 minions for a 5 Mana spell that makes all your minions 5/5's?
Amazing
Actually its 2 mana because its always freaken prepped
