The amount of boringness for a legendary card this has is absurd. If they were going to make a legendary that no one is going to play, they could make it more interesting than giving it the Elusive effect.
b-b-but... it looks like not much thought went into this. :(
Maybe the quest reward for Druid has a way to reduce the cost of minions so that you combo it and adapt.
Card designers, you are fired.
Why would druid play this when they could have a 12/12, 13/13, 14/14, 15/15, etc. at the same point in the game for 1-mana? God this makes Malorne seem good.......
We had to expect something like this
I wish this was a 15/15 , it'd be way cooler, would set the opponent on a 2 turn clock.
Wow didn't strain any creative muscles there. Why is this legendary?
Okay, here's what the good Tyrantus is weak to in YotM Standard:
- Big Game Hunter: barely played now but might make a resurgence as a one-off in some decks because of giant dinosaurs
- Aldor Peacekeeper: makes Tyrantus the ultimate dude-killer, but nothing more.
- Sunkeeper Tarim: probably one of the most frequent Tyrantus-killers
- Equality: the classic big guy killer
- Deadly Shot: if Tyrantus is the only card on the enemy board, he will die
- Freezing Trap: if it hits Tyrantus, he becomes unplayable!
- Potion of Polymorph: needs great timing to actually work; currently unplayed outside of random potion generation
- Brawl: pretty good shot at killing this big guy, of course
- any Silence card + hard removal: unless Pants Paladin becomes a thing I don't see Silence making enough of a comeback to be a real threat to this dinosaur...
So overall... Relatively hard to kill, since the only neutral one-card-option is BGH and the only classes with one-class-card-options are Hunter, Paladin, Mage (and to a lesser extent Priest and Warlock due to Kabal Chemist potentially generating PoP), and Warrior. And outside of Paladin none of the class cards are reliable/targeted. Not a great card but not unplayable either (if the meta gets a bit slower).
EDIT: Of course Blade of C'Thun (thanks @ergosc2) for Rogue and the universal Twisting Nether/Doom for Warlocks apply, though nothing is safe from the latter two, so I didn't include them xD.
Missed Blade of C'Thun.
Won't see play outside of Astral Druid in Wild.
We Will Not See this card in competitive. If Druid want some Big guys, Three are Jade already. A 10 12/12 that hasn't impact on the board isn't usefull for Druid!
Golden one will be dope, unfortunately i will never get this on a pack
What a nice Neutral Legendary, now show us the real druid one.
This is the most boring card I have ever seen. Since when are Legendaries pack fillers? I would feel really bad if I open this.
Statwise it seems okay but with 10 mana it is most likely too slow to see any play outside Arena.
Tool for beast druid 4Head
Totally useless in Beast Druid, which is deader than dead in Standard anyway because it is losing most of its 2-4 drops. The last thing it needed was a weaker version of DotC and a 10-drop with no board impact. Beast Druid is generally out of steam at that point and needs to finish asap. It can't afford a dead turn
I really wish this was a taunt.
