How Good Is Kabal Chemist?
Kripparrian put out a video today on the Kabal Chemist to discuss its capabilities and overall usefulness. As always, Kripp also included gameplay featuring the card so watch below!
How do you feel about Kabal Chemist? Has it been a key card in any decks you've played?
Learn the Different Potions
We recently posted a guide to all the different potions the chemist can spawn.
I successfully pulled off the Coldarra Drake, Raza the Chained,Auchenai Soulpriest combo last night against a control warrior who had 20+ armor and 30 health. He actually conceded before I could get all his armor down.....
All because of Kabal Courier!!!!
I'm such an idiot...
Are you sure that wasn't Kabal Courier?
oops...yea, I was just too excited about the combo. Totally Kabal Courier. And now I can't even delete my comment (gives some kind of error). sorry about this.
Trust me, of all the Hearthstone streamers and content creators, Kripp is the one who least needs the exposure..
All hail Trump teachings! Personally that was how I learned basic concepts of the game.
When a boring Kripp "How good is X?"-video is on the frontage of Hearthpwn, you know that the state of the game is dryer than a desert.
I don't understand the anger towards Hearthpwn, none of this is their fault. This is purely the fault of the lazy devs at Blizzard who does absolutely nothing in terms of new content and updates. They have their set dates for content and are fully willing to leave the game in a full blown unbalanced mess until then.
This is why hs player base is dying faster than ever. I've played since 2013 and have only recently stopped playing due for to the lack of content, attention and updates from the developers. Look at Shadowverse, Eternal, Duelyst and so on. Always new content and updates being pushed and new players are flocking to those games solely because of those aspects.
It saddens me to see what point of the game we have reached, I am disappointed beyond words.
So much hyperbole. There isn't actually a legitimate statement that can be backed up anywhere in there. It's just an incoherent mess designed to incite the unintelligent masses on here.
Those other games will appeal to a minority of Hearthstone players, but they will never garner the huge player base that Hearthstone has because they only do certain portions better than Hearthstone. Not the entire package. It's like the people hyping up Elder Scrolls Legends and look where that is.
I can understand your complaints about the game, but when you call developers lazy despite all the information we have about Blizzard developers being the exact opposite of lazy you look ignorant and negate your entire point, in my opinion.
Even without that information, calling them lazy is still ignorant because you're overlooking the obvious drawbacks of what you want. More content, for instance, would mean the game wouldn't allow to settle into a consistent meta for a few months and would be constantly changing. While you may want that, it's not how this game is designed. So maybe instead of bitching about how this game isn't designed the way you want you should simply move on.
"Disappointed beyond words" is a humorous phrase to end several paragraphs with.
In any case, having played Blizzard games for over 10 years I can say that Blizzard highly values careful iteration over rapid change. They don't change things because they have a fundamental respect for how complicated their games can be, and how a mere nudge in one area can have dramatic results. The very success of their games in the face of people's relentless criticism is a testament to the effectiveness of their approach.
That said, I still retain my own thoughts about what could make things better. I recognize that there may be good reasons that I am unaware of. Unintended consequences of the adjustments that I believe would be good. I'm sure Blizzard has a lot of thoughts on what they could do better as well, and reasons for why they don't do some things the players believe they should. However, as much as the players value it I've seen the negative aspects of communication as well; sometimes only giving half the story, because all the details of development are complicated, is worse than silence.

Can you link me the video?

Compare it to any other game, League for example. If you win or lose, it's always because you either played well or fucked up. So if you're very, very, VERY good at the game you're just going to win every single game you ever play.
If you were in the top 0.00001% of best Hearthstone players in 2014 you would win 70% of your games.
If you're in the top 0.00001% of best Hearthstone players in 2016 you only win 55% of your games, since the game is revolving more and more around RNG and curve.
And this is not just for pro players, but casual players as well. If you're really good at the game, it's just not that fun to lose or win 9/10 games because of (bad) luck instead of making the right or wrong decisions.
Its probably decided by improved Blizzards algorithms that no1 wants to belive they exist and make you face decks (most of the time) which you wont have easy time winning against. Ive looked up my Hearthstone Deck Tracker data aswell as my friends data and results are: exact 50% win ratio. Whats weird is that its at 50% even tho we both are often palying weird decks which arent good by anyway which only suggest thats sth is indeed going on here.
You can still fool yourself and think matchmaking is all random but then if it were you wouldnt have been able to see this happening
"For example: The best player pro players used the have a 65% winrate, but now only 55%. The worst used to win 35% but now win 45%."
Dude, it's a fact that matchmaking isn't random. but it has nothing to do with which decks you or your opponent plays.
There's something called MMR. It's basically a hidden score every player has based on how well you play the game. The game always tries to match you with people of similar MMR.
I don't understand why this is getting so much hate, it's not like Hearthpwn is CNN or anything. People came here most likely to avoid the official forums discussions and spam. (though nowadays it's hardly better then the official website)
Hearthpwn has always been an aggregate site, not sure why this surprises or offends (lul) anyone.
This is not the first time we've put up Kripp vids, in fact, they used to be more common place and were always received with a lot of positive comments.
Apparently we're not suppose to try and engage discussion anymore or share community content.
