What's your point? You can't cast Purify on this minion, so what's your point?
Seems like The Black Knight might see a resurgence as a tech card. Or maybe people will actually starts using Spellbreaker.
Community:Come one guys chill, design team can't screw the ballance two expansions and a adventure in a row!
Team 5:Hold my coffee you scrubs!
Fanboys:
do you really think that polymorph , hex , entomb will solve the problem ?
how many removal do you have ? you must use them from round 2 on totem golem, 4 mana 7/7, 0 mana 5/5 taunt, thunderbluff, ragnaros, earth elemental, jade golems and now this one (also faseless say hello to you). more that 12 removals needed here.
now go enjoy your polymorph, hex and entomb.
Well, some will be traded by minions and some by AoE.
And they told Rogues have single target removals. I can't see which of those cards can deal with this legendary without triggering the deathrattle effect. :D Maybe prep-assassinate after you shadowstriked the main body or just drop a (class card?) silence.
4 mana 7/7 is broken? here's 5 mana 10/10.
classic blizzard
Pint-Size Potion and Cabal Shadow Priest, or Shadow Madness, or just
Mind Control Tech
or just a Silence effect.
I always use Cabal Shadow Priest in all my Rogue decks...
Its a death rattle, so it has to killed and then you draw the card. You very rarely draw map to the golden monkey with Elise early, and that was a battle cry on a four drop. In addition, your scenario requires to draw this card by turn 5, have it killed on your opponents next turn and then draw the storm guardian turn 6/7/8. Its basically the same as being able to coin out Elise turn 3, draw map on 4, and draw and play monkey on turn 5 and play only legendaries from there on out. Its just not going to happen
White Eyes? Burning like fire? How can the eyes that burned so brightly, suddenly burn so pale? :(
the only thing that would make this card playable is if it stood it was a common
Just White Eyes? All eyes matter.
5 mana 10/10 Taunt PogChamp
Ok shaman lovers... You'll replace Rag with this card, Bloodlust change to Ancestral Spirit, Lightning storm change to Devolve and will call it "Control Shaman"? :). Keeping Trogg, Wolves, TotemGolem, 5/5 for 0, Claws, Flametongue and SP minions.... Of course, it will be absolutely different deck - no shamanstone, no curvestone and no continuously-tempo-flooding-board...
Someone told here about balancing, counterplay and "answers". For now Blizzard have revealed awesome OP shaman legendary and forget to create proper answers for it. Cause if after MSG you will dare not to play shaman, you'll have to fill your deck with already over-nerfed Ironbeak Owl, BGH and other such understated crap. Just a question, how are Warrior, Paladin, Warlock, Rogue and Druid supposed to handle this card? Direct answer has only mage with Polymorph and Priest with Entomb. Even Hunter of any kind (face, secret etc) can't ignore it, cause this is Taunt!
Third expansion in a row Shamans didn't get any unplayable gimmick niche card. They can only introduce "new decks for 1%" in Priest, Rogue etc... Sometimes I just wonder if there anyone in Blizzard responsible for balance. I just want to play 20 matches versus Ben Brode, while he will be on Rogue and I on Shaman and after ask him - was there any fun and game satisfaction?
you mean devolve?
I mean devolve is even more OP than this legendary because you can't protect you board from it. You can, literally, buff you minions out of Flamestrike or lightning storm range and pray there won't be SP, or Stealth Auctionner from Hex or other spots. But devolve will inevitably destroy your board no matter what you will do. Flamewaker with Mirror Image - destroyed. Stealthed buffed Adventurers - destroyed, N'zoth in CW resummoned Cairne, Sylvannas and Taurens - destroyed, you've built your board as a shaman and preparing Thunderbluff next turn - destroyed. Lightbomb was incredibly strong - but Devolve is even stronger.
The problem of Devolve - you always play best cards in your deck. Best 2 drops, best 6 drops, best 9 drops, ets. And you do it for some purpose - stealing minions, countering, board clears, valuetrades... So, ANY card 1 mana lower is worse than played by you. Just name me any positive outcome of Devolve...
Ben Brode wouldn't understand you because he speaks English and you don't.
Just think about it as a whole picture... What decks are going to face with this one, what should those decks play, how many minions will be on a board... what is better to play Rag for 8 mana with random effect against flooded board with jade golems or play White Eyes with Ancestral spirit for 7 mana.. what is better 8/8 randomly shooting or two 5/5 with taunts followed by two 10/10 with taunts for 5 mana... figure your odds and outcomes... Do you think Rag is good? Then play them both!
