I guess paying 3 health for a 4/2 and a 2/3 murlock (and any murloc that stuck on the board from earlier turns) is too high a price. That is pretty damn good tempo. The card is not amazing but it is not bad.
Magician ZooZoo, maybe?
With: Menagerie Magician and Zoobot
And Hungry Crab!
Cool card.. Murloclock won't be good enough for the meta.. But with the new murloc legendary, warlock will be a great class to do the 75 murloc quest... Plus it's a murloc knight buff
I really don't understand the Hearthstone community. One moment they complain priest sucks, then rogue sucks and now i see so many people bitch in these comments that Blizzard apparently hates Warlock now and that Warlock "is getting the short end of the rope again" and "Warlock has been screwed for 2 expansions in a row now!" What?
When the new mage legendary was revealed, i also saw comments like "Finally Blizzard gives something good for Mage!" I don't get it. Why do people act like no class has gotten anything useful for a year (except Shaman).
Any big online community/fandom is like this unfortunately.
It is not that Warlock didn't get ANY cards. They got all kind of zoo cards from Wotog and some discard voodoo from Karazhan. But Zoo/Discolock is not really exiting and not particular strong right now.
Blizzard pushed the aggessive archetypes but the control decks suffer from missing healing cards (Handlock, Reno). Warlock also got no good Legendaries since GvG. And this card tries to push another Aggro zoo-like deck. We already have 2.
Exactly this is what most are complaining about, too many of the Warlock cards have been pushing one deck (Zoo) and other archetypes have been ignored. So when people see a Murloc put in the Murloc/Warlock deck which is a board flooding deck very similar to Zoo anyway, you can understand their frustration.
I hope they are NOT going to extend Murloc to Priest too.
That's right. In the early days of the game Warlock only has handlock & Murlock... but since the expansions come Murlocs have been skewed towards Paladin with Murloc Knight...
Warlock Murloc was THE Murloc deck. I still use warlock murloc in wild to complete my murloc quests. It can be ridiculously good Good Old Murk-Eye. would be ridiculously strong if you played this on a board with a few other murlocs.
It's ok with Warlock. It actually makes sense (horde of mindless slaves).
I just hope it does not make for an antecedent for other classes tied to the same faction.
This card is amazing. It's a free spell! Anytime you're able to cheat mana you're at a huge advantage and with something like murlocs that have such synergy with each other busted things are gonna happen. Still need one or two more murlocs maybe for the deck to be real, but they have to give them to us after such an obvious plant.
Blizzard still can't decide what class will be equiped with murloc deck. They were trying to make Murloc Shaman, Paladin and now they remember about pre-Naxx murloc Warlock.
I think they dont want to make any one class "the murloc class" so they're switching it around every once in a while. In a year we might see murloc mage
No class has ever been the strict murloc class in terms of design. They give more murloc cards to different classes in different expansions.
Making one class the strict 'murloc go to' is just uncreative and constraining; I might be speaking from a place of biased of really liking Murlocs but there is a reason a big number of them are neutral to begin with... It's like with dragons and mechs, just let every class get a chance to mess around with a full tribal theme.
