So on the new magtheridon, you can again do 3 damae AOE, right?
You can, but you are losing a card from your hand an a 12/12 minion to doing that. So I don't know if the trade is worth it.
Is worth against Aggro probably, in the fictional escenario that you played Magtheridon, he awakes, and you somehow are still in a match against Aggro, cause they usually end before turn 8.
Play and red card an expensive combo piece. Spring your OTK or whatever two turns later.
The issue though is that a telegraphed OTK is so much weaker than one entirely from hand, as Nature Shaman with Flash of Lightning has shown, as your opponent is going to save all their disruption for the turn you combo. And that's with one turn of warning - this card gives your opponent two.
If your combo can be ran without requiring Red Carding a combo piece, why would you ever include Red Card and give your opponent a chance to brick the combo? And if your combo requires Red Card, your combo needs to be HIGHLY resistant to the format's disruption.
I would give the counterargument that every popular OTK deck its pretty telegraphed. As soon that Naval Mine hits the board you already know what is comming. And most of the time you can't even play arround it.
But there was a fairly successful OTK that involved Imprisoned Phoenix, so if this cards allows you to play your OTK on Curve and/or avoid having to play Emperor Thaurissan, I think is worth the shot.
Anyway DH dosn't have a big minion based OTK potential, other than Illidari Inquisitor, Il'gynoth or Lady S'theno there isn't that many things that you could do (Talking about OTKs that actually are trying to win games rather than just meme).
I like the flavour, and the effect is kinda good, buuuut am I really going to use it in deck?
Insane discover save potential tho.
I expected just straight up red color for the art. Disappointed.
I mean, yeah. You have a Freezing Potion, twice. Like I don't know. You are going to use a deck slot just for that? Isn't even easy to Discover, cause dosn't has Types or Keywords.
I guess that when is most interesting is on your own minions, but is a massive Tempo lost for like deal 10 more with Imprisoned Antaen, Get 2 random Dream cards with Archdruid Naralex, get another 4 Mana discount in your random Dragon DH with Soridormi, or just deal 6 more damage stopping your 12/12 of attacking for 3 turns.
IF you are playing Big DH you need Time to summon your big dudes, and this gives you some time. I could potentially see it there. But you know what also gives you time? Playing good cards.
Freezing Potion is inferior because it doesn't make taunt go away or forbid your opponent to trigger it's own deathrattle. It's more like a 1 mana sap that has it's pros and cons.
Turn 7 play Li Na shop manager + Red Card OoO wait turn 9 and then concede B)
You just play Inner Demon and summon 6 Illidari Inquisitor, the deck builds itself.
Incarceration getting powercrept by 2 mana and still probably not good enough.
You can make your own magtheridon go back to being a dormant AoE spam again, I guess?
That's the sole purpose of this card, I assume. FInally my Maiev Shadowsong will see play!
Bad. This is a card that only exists to discover. I remember when the Maeiv Shadowsong minion came out, everyone thought it would be broken, but it was never played cause making a minion go dormant for 2 turns is nothing when ending your turn counts as turn 1.
Red Card makes no sense. Red card as we know it in the real world is a permanent sending off. There's no coming back. So making it have a dormant effect is weird.
You don't get a red card and then return after sitting out a bit, unless it's several games. Now THAT would be an interesting card idea though...
Well officially after a red card, you got suspended for some matches. Maybe the dormant and turns mean that suspension
With red card here, where is yellow card, with warning? And where is uno reverse card in hearthstone canon,if they have redcards like this?
The Uno Reverse card is Counterspell.
I'm not a sports gal, i'm on a Hearthstone forum, but isn't the Red Card supposed to remove you permanently for the game? It looks like pretty on the edge of the flavor.
