Miniaturize keyword means that this card will leave a 1-mana 1/1 copy of itself in your hand when played.
Question: I wonder how the "can't damage" part works on battlecries. Is it just battlecries that have "deal damage" on their text box, or an enemy hero just doesn't take damage during the battlecry duration? Answer: If the next battlecry deals damage, it can hit the enemy hero, but the damage will be set to zero. (Source)
EXAMPLE (1): Flame Juggler - Missiles can hit the enemy hero, but their damage is reduced to 0. (Source)
EXAMPLE (2): Maxima Blastenheimer - Minions are summoned and attack. Any damage they do goes through because the damage is dealt by the minions, not by the battlecry. (Source)
EXAMPLE (4): Alexandros Mograine's battlecry doesn't do any damage immediately when played, the battlecry is triggered 3 times total, and then Shudderblock's damage prevention goes away. At the end of each turn, including the turn played, Alexandros Mograine's permanent effect activates and deals damage. None of that damage is prevented. (Source)
I've poked through some Shudderblock edge cases and gotten clarification - the explanation quoted here is both correct and concise. Shudderblock only alters battlecries if it sees the word "damage". (Source)

Not really unless you manage to play a couple of them as their battlecry doesn't increase the counter, playing the card does (similar to Elwynn Boar not caring about the DR of the first 6).
So with only two, the first birb doesn't do anything (0 other played). The second then triggers three times of +1/+1.
So you basically have to find battlecries that deal damage, but don't deal damage directly from the battlecry. It's so janky, like the objective of this card is to find loopholes in the system to break the game. And this is a card that is going to definitely break the game in some fashion, someone smart is gonna figure it out.
My first thoughts here are with Outfit Tailor, given Shaman just got a new deck/hand buff, Wish Upon a Star. With just one wish and shudderblock, tailor is giving +12/+15 to a minion (+18/+24 with two wishes), and you can consistently draw these out with Hagatha the Fabled. Oh yeah, and Shaman also still has Shroomscavate for more silly combo damage.
I can see a game where if you leave a 0/2 totem on board you're suddenly going to get OTK'd by 36 damage out of nowhere, kinda scary.
You act like that's going to be some hard task, but it actually isn't. You forget that there's plenty of ways to fuck with your opponent without doing damage. This card is going to be an absolute beast in Wild:
- Astalor giving you three copies of it's five or eight mana versions
- Loatheb basically preventing you from playing spells the next turn
- the Galakrond Invoke minions
- Summoning Jade Tokens
- Mutanus basically eating card out of your opponent's hands (the battlecry doesn't have to be played during the same turn)
-Vandar Stormpike discounting all the shit in your deck
- Building up a huge C'thun (C'thun Shaman anyone)?
There's a lot of potential for this card in Wild, and even in Standard, there's a lot of options:
- Cheap as fuck Overload spells through Inzah
- The Forged minions boosted Battlecries, with Disposalbot being an enemy boardwipe with Lifesteal and Watcher of the Sun providing card advantage and lifegain
- Sheriff Bramblebrim effectively locking up the board
- Sand Art Elemental (it only states that Battlecries can't damage the enemy hero, it didn't say anything about you doing the damage.
- Sweetened Snowflurry filling your hand with spells
- Getting multiple copies of the new Zilliax
Best of all, you can Brewmaster the smaller Shudderblock repeatedly so it can keep pissing your opponent off.
First, kinda sad that the Mini of Shudderblock isn't my Avatar thingy.
And Second, I kinda would rather that the card says that your opponent is Immune, cause is a bit more clear. Like if I play this and then I play Astalor, the Flamebringer how does it works? Is only going to target minions or it can target the hero but it dosn't takes damage from it, which is basically make it Immune?
I think that when this card shines is making a board like with Jade Golems or giving you a lot of discounts like with Granite Forgeborn, but I'm not sure how Metawarping is going to be. It looks simply solid to me, but not as crazy as you can expect for a Shudderwock card.
This wording means you can still target the enemy hero but there would be no damage dealt (think Freeze, old Alex,...). All things that don't need a target will still deal damage.
In Wild, trying to go for boards with a Shudder deck is usually not the way to go. Unless you do some crazy N'Zoth things. Just disruption is more than enough to keep you in the game.
The cheapest way to mess up your opponent for example after playing Shudderblock would be to play a discounted Mutanus, dirty rat + freeze, Coilfang Constrictor(to block 3 cards in their hand), Boompistol Bully, Loatheb... Stuff like that
Be careful with that tho, cause Jepetto is going to give you every minion with 1 Health or Attack, so to guarantee 3 Miniwocks you need a fairly empty hand or be sure of not play other minions with those stats.
Yeah that's true, in my head that was doubling every time the minion start his battlecry and with shudder it does that 3 times (so 6) like in BG but in BG it's saying additional, my bad, ty :)

Is there anyway to abuse this with Freebird?

This has to be broken, somehow.
So, stupid question. Can the Shudderblock effect target it's own Miniaturized self so that it can boost a Battlecry nine times?
Shudderblock: Come here, Kobold Miner! Show me some LOVE!!
Well, now they have an excuse to not print any interesting neutrals for 2 years cause muh design space.
Unless they rename the battlecry effect for the 10th time, of course.

If you play Fire astalor it can pick face but won't do damage
Immune means you can't target or damage it.
This wording means you can still target the enemy hero but there would be no damage dealt (think Freeze, old Alex,...). All things that don't need a target will still deal damage.
And that's why it is not immune.

So mini shudderblock plus Joymancer Jepetto gives me 3 mini shudderblocks

How does this work with Skarr, the Catastrophe? Can I play it since it damages all the board including the enemy Hero?
You can but it will only damage enemy minions.
With Brann does your battlecry trigger 6 times?
If you trigger this Battlecry twice, overwrites itself, cause says that triggers 3 times and not 3 times more.
Yeah that's true, in my head that was doubling every time the minion start his battlecry and with shudder it does that 3 times (so 6) like in BG but in BG it's saying additional, my bad, ty :)
