the only consistent thing team 5 has done is hating on combo decks while allowing swingy aggro and midrange decks sit around crushing everything until something stronger shows up
I hate that in Hearthstone people think that combo and solitaire deck are the same. Anyfin paladin was a combo deck while not being a solitaire deck. Freeze mage - same.
But stuff like tony druid turns the game into freaking solitaire and I don't care what winrate they have. They should be nuked ASAP
Is not only that Tony (and all other Exodia decks) feel really bad to play against, cause you feel hostage in a game you play as good as you could, and still lost while your opponent was playing mostly alone.
The Thing is that with Tony Druid you can lose faster than against an Aggro deck. I had matches against Pirate Rogue that ended in turn 9, and matches against Tony Druid that ended in turn 5. And we are talking about a deck whose entire strategy consists in drawing their entire deck. It dosn't even feel like a Combo deck. It feels like an Heroic Boss from an Adventure.
I still think that Tony, King of Piracy was one of the worst HS designs in a long time cause is a card that is usless unless that is toxic, but Gadgetzan Auctioneer was a problematic card since forever.
People crying about tony druid in wild when there's a quadrillion tech cards that win against it single-handedly. On the other hand you can't play around discolock or SM, so let's just leave these two intact to screw the mode.
DiscoLock is also getting hit too. But Gadgetzan Auctioneer has been around since Beta, it has more attention to make it front loading like how Sorcerer's Apprentice was front loaded last time, and the last hammer nerf did it for good that it never saw the light again.

Will they finally make Auctioneer charge for his services? I'm not sure what the mana cost and/or stats should be then, but by simply increasing the mana cost of the drawn card by one would solve probably all the "problems" with the card. That would also be a "flavorful" nerf. It just would make sense and really how it always should've been. But I guess people also really love this type of deck. It kind of makes you wonder how they even decide when to "kill" a card like that. Apparently it might be time for Auctioneer. For the better or the worse.
I think that an interesting option would be paying life, 2 life per card drawn would make many kinds of degeneracy way harder to pull off. But paying, not losing to prevent questlock degeneracy
Did they refund people who bought the Druid C'Thun portrait because they felt bad about going to nerf Druid? I got a notification that my purchase got cancelled but I still have the hero portrait.
Because blizzard ain't monitoring this forum looking to take it away, I was curious if they changed their mind on something with it because I didn't see any announcement anywhere and I have never had this happen before. If you don't have the answer it's usually better to not say anything at all...
Of course Blizzard prefers killing old Core cards instead of balancing the new overpowered cards.
They need to fix the root-cause cards, or else, future new cards will create the same problems we have now. This is similar to what they did to the Mage minion 3/2 stats changing its cost to 4 mana with the effect to have all Spells cost 1 less.

Rip Tony Druid, you won't be missed

Losing to combo is a worse feeling than loosing to aggro, also wastes more time

They'd just start running Violet Illusionist. Yes it slows them down a little, but not by much.
Illusionist doesn't work anymore. Paying Health is not damage.
Right, I missed that he specifically addressed that with Warlock degeneracy
And want about fucking pirate rogue?
And Big Priest (Neptulon still)?
And Secret Mage?
What about it ? They're boring to play against but not breaking the game

why would you bring it up if you got to keep it tho?

What about nerfing warrior / warlock
Armorrior is not broken, it depends directly at 1 single card which you can fuck very easy with any disruption tool
