Those are some nice changes. They should do this more often.

I really like it. You never know what's gonna happen and it's different every single time. Exactly what I want.

Some things I'd improve: Not just getting random minions that probably don't have much synergy. Some Discover option would make it more interesting. Also casting spells is a major gameplay mechanic but playing minions for the random spells makes everything else including spells less relevant. It might not really be possible to perfectly "fix" it but one idea could be that instead of getting the random spell right away you also could get a 0 mana "Blessing of Yogg-Saron" spell to cast a random spell. That would make it so that it feels more like a normal game but it keeps the in my opinion most important aspect in place: To have something that could turn the game around and/or makes crazy things happen. Additionally I would prefer to not have to choose a hero like with a generic hero of all classes and I think a change of hero power to something like (1 Mana) "Add a random 1-cost minion to your hand." would make sense for this brawl.

I kind of like the idea of this brawl, but what I always find annoying is that random deck. What if I draw mostly spells? Spells that don't generate minions? And what if I get like tons of small minions, maybe even minions that generate more minions? They could at least try to equalize it with a hero power that adds a bunch of small minions to your hand you can use if you're unlucky. To be honest such a change would actually make this one of my favorite brawls. Then just make it one generic hero of all classes for more variety of cards you could be getting to play and it would be amazing. Right now it actually is one that is fun enough for me to actually play at least until I get my pack, but indeed a prime example of a brawl that only with like one or two little tweaks would be so much better. But oh no! You need like class identity and whatnot. I mean come on! It's the tavern brawl with crazy rules. Is this really necessary? Seriously, why don't make these small changes? Every time one of such brawls comes around I always hope that this time maybe they actually improved it. I don't recall one time where a returning brawl was improved with a simple change like that. And it would be so easy. That pretty much tells you what that mode is for them. Just something that has people coming back to check out the new tavern brawl. At least that what it seems like. Once again I can only see all this wasted potential. And why? Money? I would even like to pay somehow if it's not unreasonable. But no. They just try to sell more collection stuff and I hate it. How about a custom game mode and selling a subscription to that? If only...

Edit: Okay, I played a game and it seems like at least your deck is only minions. So that's quite good. And I also think running out of cards to play is also not really gonna happen. Except the cards in your deck which could be annoying. But you might still end up with many high cost minions where low cost minions would be better which could be annoying. Also you're not gonna cast many spells which matter for quite some cards. For example the best card in the game this brawl is named after. So that's another thing, but overall I still have to say that... yes, this would still probably go into my top 10 best brawls. So... nice. I'm having fun with it.

    Wow, looks awesome!

I wish I would be so good at deck building. Especially in Wild there are so many cards to choose from and you can only take 39 into your deck... wait... No way! This deck is without Renathal?! Only 30 cards?! How?! How do you do this? For example as the other comment said not taking the Raid the Sky Temple Quest and there's a bunch of other cards like... the Sunwell! The Sunwell is not in the list. What? Why would you not put the Sunwell into a deck like this? How do you decide these things? What I personally thought of for myself is an excel spreadsheet that generates random decks from all those cool RNG/Discover cards. But I would really like to know how in the world people like you come up with lists like this one. Please, if you would be kind enough, share your wisdom with me. If I can even comprehend it that is. Praise Yogg!

posted a message on Blessing of the Raven is This Week's Tavern Brawl

Yeah, at this point I would really wish they would find out how they could make money turning it into something like a "custom rules" game mode like I said. 90% of the Brawls are so boring and uncreative. I imagine the only reason they still uphold it is because of the "free pack" where people would complain and most importantly it gives reason for some people to log back in and check out the new brawl. Well... if they really wanted to make a good game and not money it would look very different... At least they still make fun RNG/Discover cards I can enjoy playing with friends. But every time I see something like that... I just have to think about how great the game could be, but... well, a lot of people also wouldn't care I guess, but the main reason I think is really because they didn't figured out a way to make it profitable. (Yet.)

"Blessing of the Raven"? Why that one? How does this make any sense? Or do they now literally just repeat random ones at this point? Even the last one wasn't really new, but it at least made sense. I guess they really don't care and most people just want an easy win for their weekly pack. I... don't even... and the odds are against me. Is this really what this mode has become? I guess it always has been. Such wasted potential. It really should be a community curated mode with custom rule settings or so. But that wouldn't make them any money, so why bother, right? Yeah, that's about it.

posted a message on 27.0.2 Patch Notes - Battlegrounds Adjustments - Many Bug Fixes
    • [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Aman'Thul’s “Vision of Heroes” ability could summon Colossal minions.

Why would this be a bug? It says "minions" and Colossal minions are minions and unlike Titans you can randomly generate, Discover, etc. them. Or did they change that? I guess it's just one card: Crabatoa. I still don't like this direction of "you can't randomly generate the cool stuff" direction they're going. I love the randomness and don't even want to bother swapping stuff out all the time. Not to mention you wouldn't even be able to like put Crabatoa into a Priest deck for example. For some cross-class combinations it also would be really broken of course. So it's good you can't consistently do all of it. But getting it randomly? That's the most fun I have in this game. Well... I guess the only thing I can do is not supporting the game with money anymore. I still like stuff like Yogg and the "allowed" random card generation, etc., but this... is really... just sad. The game could be so much fun, but no it has to be like "competitive" and whatnot. Well, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this seemed such an unwarranted "bug fix". Seriously. I don't get it.

posted a message on New expansion.. same game
    Quote from Lyryal21>>

Having friends to play games is also fun , you can make up your own rules

Exactly this. Playing with friends is amazing. You can't really play by your own rules (I wish they would allow that with at least some basic stuff) but you can indeed like talk about what you would like to play or try and hopefully somehow match the power level and whatnot so it does actually feel interesting and that you both have an about equal chance. By my own experience I can tell it is very much worth it. Like so much better than "normal" play. And on top of that if you didn't know, you can share decks in friendly games. Want to try out some cool deck idea? Maybe a friend could help as they have some variation or could make it quickly. One way or another friendly games are, at least to me, the most fun I've ever had playing this game. It might be hard at first to find good friends that like the same stuff as you (because of a lack of good social features still after like 10 years) but I can say that all of the effort I put in was so much worth it for me. Nowadays I only play "normally" if none of my friends are online and/or I'm trying to make new friends... Because that's how I do it. You might be wondering on how to do it. I personally just send a friend request at the start of each game. I think that's the best since at the start everything is still undecided and neutral. Unfortunately, for some reason, that option is grayed out by default. But there's a relatively easy workaround: Click on "Report" and it shows you the full battletag with the number. And that you can then enter when adding a friend via the normal "Add a friend" button. Sometimes it will take a long time until even someone accepts but I have made like at least half a dozen or so new friends since I started doing it a few months or so ago. And it's always the most fun when I get to play with one of them. I can really recommend it.

posted a message on TITANS Rewards Track Refresh

Wait; they didn't say anything about how you can get Ignis after the reward track is gone. Don't they normally say that after patch x it will be given when opening your first pack of the expansion? Or would this be Prison of Yogg-Saron for Titans? But if so... does this mean you literally can't get him afterwards anymore? They specifically state that it's uncraftable. But aren't those usually the ones given for free after your first pack of the expansion and it is mentioned in the fine print? I mean it seems strange because that would be a first I think. You can still get all of those "promo" and "freebie" cards of past expansions either by crafting or for free with your first pack. I really don't like the idea of it, but given the developments in recent years it doesn't seem too far off anymore. I personally just hate using anything that anyone I might meet can't get anymore. The cosmetics are optional but the normal cards are something else. Would they actually do this? I really hope I'm getting something wrong here. The only thing is that Ignis is dependent on Forge cards and if they don't make more of such cards it's a very niche card so not that big of a deal maybe. But still would suck because I think it's a pretty cool and awesome design.
