Interesting. So there definitely is a larger swathe playing zoo than most other archetypes, let alone classes.
    Good to know :-)

I've been having a lot of luck with this deck I came up with.
Feel free to give it a whirl!

On the subject of Odd Rogue / decks - I don't know what it is, but there is always this inward huge groan feeling whenever you see that Baku animation at the start. It's so weird - it's like psychologically you can almost concede the game before it's even started.
It's a powerful effect it can have on people. I think there's a similar feel when that first Flame Imp goes down in zoolock matchups.

posted a message on Interesting Tess interaction

Even more hilarity ensues when you steal a load of priest cards and make the mistake of playing a Psychic Scream during the game (before Tess). Lol!
It reminds me of the good old days of seeing Yogg cast Treachery on himself! XD

I don't see many Shudderwocks, but I agree that standard BADLY needs a neutral anti-combo tech card. There's no worse feeling than knowing it's impossible to win a game no matter what you do.

That's the dumbest thing ever. Why should there be ONE card that beats an entire deck? This is the same reason Demonic Project has an awful design. If there are insta-win counters to combo decks then there should be insta-win one card counters to control decks.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having 1 or more cards that are designed to disrupt a deck that has such little interaction with the opponent as ones such as Shudderwock or Malygos, etc.
That adds interaction and strategy to what is otherwise a particularly one-sided match in my opinion.

Sure - I've found myself relegated to playing Big Spell Mage and Odd Warrior a lot. But finding yourself counter-meta-ing almost exclusively can get rather... samey! :-P

Every expansion so many new synergies and possibilities. We barely have time to figure out what really works!

With 2 expansions every year, this would be so much better.

This sounds like a F2P-based opinion?
If anything, waiting for the next expansion can seem like an eternity at times...

posted a message on So much zoo... so little variance....

Been away for a little while doing other stuff (TM) for a while.
But I have noticed in my recent games that it seems as though there is an unusually high percentage of people playing ZooLock currently.
Now, I don't have hard figures to make a soap-box-style rant about it; and I don't wish to - it is quite possible that it is simply personal reflection of what I have seen recently.
But I wondered if anyone else was finding that they were facing an inordinate amount of Heal-based Zoo decks of late?

Now I don't hate ZooLock at all (just the low skill noobs that play it.. XD Just kidding! Kappa!) - but I thought there might be opportunity for more diversity in decks with the latest Expac.
In fact, I have recently created a pretty strong Priest Dragon Tempo deck which does pretty well (less so against zoo, of course - that's not the basis of this post, though! Honestly! Haha!). I'd be happy to share it with people if they are interested.

Since I haven't been on Hearthpwn for probably months now (A.K.A - living under a rock), there may have been other threads about this very subject. To which I say: sorry, sorry, etc etc.

So is it becoming too pervasive in your opinion? Is it just right? Do you think it is too weak, even? (Maybe someone does, I dont know! Lol!)

posted a message on Hey Blizzard, about Casual Mode...
    Quote from CypherBenkes >>

Why not convert Casual into a Dual-Class mode with no ranks? Casual is meant for people to play freely, so why not take the reigns off a smidgen? The problem with Casual for most people is the presence of strong decks that don't really have a place there, so why not give people the ability to create decks where class identity is hard to determine at the mulligan due to two classes being a factor?

Give us more to do. Casual isn't even bothered with by the majority of people that play. Why not give people a reason to play the mode? Dual-Class Arena is an incredible experience. Why not cement the experience? At the same time, maybe make it so decks entered for strictly Casual play have more cards in them AND increase player Health totals? People have been curious about exactly these things before, so why not integrate them in an environment that isn't competitive?

If there was ever a thread I wanted plopped in front of Blizzard, it's this one. Casual needs enriching, and I think taking many of the ideas that won't fly in a competitive format and integrating them so they're available through Casual is a great idea.

I honestly think that to some extent, the Rank "Ledges" basically signalled the death knell for casual mode.
Previously, you went to casual to train on a deck / do your quests / play janks etc without slipping back down the ranks. But without the fear of dropping below your current multiple of 5 in rank, there's simply little point in playing casual any more.

Definitely agree it would be good to make something more fun out of it. Two-Headed Giant, Triple threat, etc etc. All good ideas...

    Quote from Mono2627 >>

After joining the hearthstone beta and playing up to day mostly and only priest (my only golden hero) I finally managed to reach legend. I had the time this month due to an injury I can’t go to work with. The only thing left I needed to do was to sell my soul and finally craft this damn keleseth and play Hunter instead.

(Buff priest carried me to rank 2 with an insane winstreak though started at rank 5 without even a single loss, but I fell back to rank 4 and changed to a control Hunter).

Why I am opening a thread? My wife doesn’t care for my incredible life achievement but I feel too proud to just let this fade away even though it wasn’t priest I reached legend with.

Congratulations on joining the club! ;-)
It's an amazing feeling the first time you reach legend. The novelty wears off after that, but it is still a great achievement. Well done! :-)

posted a message on "Do you BM?" A Hearthstone Confessional

I think it can be legitimately hard not to BM at times in Hearthstone.
Sometimes a game can be such an emotional rollercoaster that you want an outlet and since Hearthstone is so miserly on the player-to-player communication front, emoting is about all we have available.

I've been prone to even the most debased extended BM at times, I'll admit. Not proud of it, by any means - but not sorry either :-P

posted a message on Salty Friend Requests?

I have a new, slightly evil hobby these days.

After a match, I will send a friend request. If the person responds and says something nice like GG or well played or thanks etc, I’ll happily chat to them.

If they choose to be a d**k and start straight off with insults (even tho they won, which is comedy gold), I now proceed to write messages and omit some of the words by just writing random symbols.

For example: “Good job with the *{^{*+* deck you %]*%] there. I *^+% you could *[%{+ ** the deck +*]^”!

Translated: Good job with the awesome deck you made there. i wish you could send me the deck list!

Nothing special really, they are just normal people behind a keyboard, that is all. Welcome to the human race bro! :)

Sherman, old pal, there's something different about you... can't put my finger on it...

posted a message on If you need the US PrePurchase Site

Sneaky Blizzard apparently redirect you to the appropriate country site for the prepurchase (for example, to the GB version if you are here in the UK)
At least, it does for me, even when you start in the US Battle Net site and navigate to the pre-purchase page.

So if you need a link to go straight to the US version (you know, so you can get the PP for £7 cheaper than if you buy in pounds), then here is the direct link:
