posted a message on Dirty Rat vs Deathlord

Which one is better in Priest? I haven't played for a while and now that I have more free time, I wouldn't mind playing again in Wild.

When I used to play Priest, Deathlord was the go to. But sometimes, you just lose straight up games when it pops out really good minions.

Deathlord seems better as it has a bigger behind than Dirty Rat. It also can be brought back by N'Zoth

However, Dirty Rat usually comes out early. It's drawback is so much better for you compared to Deathlord as it usually cheats in minions from hand, which aren't usually late game and easy to deal with.

Both cheat away battlecry triggers but I feel like Dirty Rat is better at doing this because it takes away battlecry triggers your opponent is taking an account with (as it's from their hand). Dirty Rat also somehow combos with Doomsayer.

However Dirty Rat doesn't come back with N'Zoth.

I currently do not have Dirty Rat and not sure if I should craft it. I've seen streamers pull off sick plays with it. While I've lost games where Deathlord screwed me over, I still can't justify crafting Dirty Rat (I'm still in the process of trying to earn packs) without proper input.

Has anyone tried both and which one is better in Wild?

posted a message on Miracle Grow

    Hey Guys,

I am currently trying develop a new style of a Miracle deck. Originally Rogue is the the go to class for the archetype but since the nerfing of Gadgetzan Auctioneer  along with the new Troggs, it has deemed that the archetype is dead.

Then I started experimenting on utilizing Druid's Ramp ability to accelerate an Auctioneer. Alternatively, you can use Violet Teacher and a bunch of undercosted spells to help establish a board presence.

I normally do not play ladder but since I have accumulated a lot of the classic cards, I gave it a try and it pushed me from 25 to 15 with ease.

    Miracle Druid
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (12) Ability (18)
    Loading Collection

The deck is played by either establishing board presence against aggro (Claw/Wrath/Hero Power/Swipe) or ramping/establishing early Violet Teachers against midrange/control decks in the early game. Then your midgame is to just either deal damage or set up a massive turn with Auctioneer. Your late game is Malygos + damage spells or go for the token combo kill.

I used to run 2 Auctioneers but I cut one for the second Belcher as I have been seeing a lot swarm aggro in the ladder. That said, the original single Belcher used to be Loatheb. I find that Loatheb was great when you have board advantage but when I kept facing Mage Mech/Shaman Aggro/Huntard/Zoo decks, i decided to use Belcher instead

I have also experimented with Nourish. Nourish was great to coin to to create a jump in mana production. It also served as card draw in the late game when needed. Unfortunately, with all the aggro around, the card became to slow.

At one point, I was using Savagery (LOL I know). While it was great with Drake and Malygos, it was still conditional.

As you can see, there are no GvG cards. I haven't really bought any packs (saving my gold until the new years and going on a buying spree). I am looking for advice to even develop the archetype once I do get all those GvG packs/dust.

    Any questions are also welcome.

Dusted a bunch of Epic cards to get all the Murlocs. They're not even viable anymore

I think what Hearthstone needs are "formats". If you play MtG, have you ever played a Standard deck in a Vintage tournament?

I wish there was a format where there's a cap on the gold costs of the decks. This way, new players can actually grind and actually get wins. It's hard to beat Rags and Leeroys (especially in casual) when you just started the game.

I can't wait for the rest of the neutral cards. Maybe it will make Redemption Paladin viable again.

I think I faced the same player. He/she got me down to three and was hovering a card indicating it was a Bolt. He/she kept doing it until the time is almost up until he/she actually did it. All the while with continuous emotes.

I should have conceded but I didn't. It was really annoying though. I hope they add an option on blocking players as players like that are detrimental to the community.

I think it has something to do time zones.

If you're from North America and playing on the EU servers, chances are on the time you're playing the game, most if not all of the decent players/grinders are sleeping.

posted a message on Stacked in 15th rank, give me suggestions please

I think you're experiencing the problem of netdecking (copying from someone's list). It's easy to copy someone's but it's hard to comprehend all the decisions and logic for every turn. I would advise trying some other list to see how your playstyle is. That or keep practicing and don't mind losing.

For someone that has played Magic for a decade now, here's what I can tell you: play with these 3 things in mind: the board state, what you think your opponent has with his hand (based on what you've seen played or on the board) and how your opponent is going to play around you (you have to outsmart your opponent).

Another problem with netdecking is that everyone knows the deck you play and can use the 3 pointers above against you. Ultimately if your opponent knows how to play your deck better than you, you will not stand a chance.

Would you like to inform us on the class you're using, possibly a list. This way we can see what you're doing wrong.

posted a message on First 200 dust> what rare to get

I usually play Rogue and Mage.

I already have a playset of Azure Drakes, along with singletons of Sunwalker and Argent Commander. Would completing those playsets wise or would a playset of Questing Adventurer/Defender of Argus/Gadgetzan Auctioneer be the way to go?

The title says it all. But the main argument is what are the most used/useful/universal rares in the game? I am not taking about good rares in certain decks but rather rares that are good in any decks that they would go.

I am contemplating between Defender of ArgusQuesting Adventurer and Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

What is the point of Injured Blademaster's effect? All I can see is its a pumpredder for Frothing Berserkers but 4/3 for 4 is mediocre at rare.

I got two golden ones and I am contemplating on just dusting them for something better.

posted a message on Zoo? No problem. (Aggroish deck)

Whenever I play Mage, I would always run at least one Polymorph. It's good at getting rid of roadblocks if you can't get there by turn 7.
