They do, but the 2000 gold for all of them is a better deal if you can afford it.

Baldassar posted a message on New Hearthstone Arena Ranking System Pitch by BlizzardPosted in: NewsAt least read the article before commenting. This suggestion is not a matchmaking system and will have no effect in choosing your opponent. It will just be a number measuring your average score, which is fine.

Nedess posted a message on New Mage Rare Card Revealed - FlurryPosted in: NewsI think you are overestimating it.
Gadgetzan Auctioneer hasn't been a viable draw engine for mage in ages and this spell only freezes at most 3 random minions. And that's by turn 10, most of the time, it will most likely only be played for 1 or 2 random frozen minions. Furthermore, Doomsayer isn't in the core set, so there is no real follow up for freezing the ennemy board like it used to in classic control mage. There seem to be a freeze sub-theme in Mage right now so it's possible they will reveal more freeze synergy cards but for now I think this card is both too slow (because it's only "good" from turn 5 onward) and too unreliable to be of any use. By turn 10, I'd much rather play the new Cone of Cold to guarantee hits on targets I actually want to freeze rather than having RNG decide.
I think that is essentially the design flaw of all these ranking spells : they are mediocre at low mana and at high mana, the fact that they are cheap for their effect is much less relevant. You talk about tempo but it's pretty much irrelevant by turn 10+ (if the game lasts that long!) Honestly I'd take good and reliable Blizzard over this card any day of the week if it was in the core set despite the fact that it costs 6 more mana.

The initiate cards belong to the year of the dragon, meaning they will rotate in a year from now. Some of them might move to the classic set upon 2021 rotation assuming we're still alive by that time.

not excited so far. Seems quite lazy. Nothing really new to play with

Since all the Shaman decks are very powerful, even the ones that don't see much play right now (overload, murlocs), I would start with the cards that they have in common; Mutate and Mogu Fleshshaper. I would probably just nerf Mogu Fleshshaper to a higher cost and/or less health as Mutate seems pretty balanced to me.
Then I would do some testing. If shaman still looks OP, I would also nerf one card from the Shaman Galakrond Package, and I believe that should be enough.
p.s. I am liking very much the quick reflexes Blizz has started to show lately.

Even if it didnt say that it does not matter, it would still be a 5/5

In Blizzard's defense, class identity is defined by they classic set only. Expansions may deviate and shake things up.

IMO Archivist Elysiana will get better after the nerf. The reason is that this card will perform exactly the same in the mirror matchup, but at the same time CW will have more slots (tools) to address the rest of the matchups.

great idea well done
