DatMageDoe posted a message on Hearthstone Quest Update - Big Increase in Requirements and Lower Increase in RewardsPosted in: NewsOn one hand, some of these quests were arguably too easy to beat. 5 Constructed wins could be done in less than an hour even with a 50% winrate. For a weekly, that's kinda pathetic, especially when there's only 3 weeklies.
On the other, holy shit between 2-3x the effort for 20-30% more reward is ridiculous. And what's more, they are still WINS. If you go on a massive losing streak, that is 0 progression to the weeklies. And the "Spend 500 mana" and "Use your Hero Power 50 times" ones getting worse are horrendous - oftentimes I had to create special decks just to get those done because DAMN they are tedious, now one is even worse and the other is (mostly) reverted back to the nightmare it once was.
I wish they took the Overwatch angle of "Complete games. Wins grant double progress" because even losing matches felt like progressing the weeklies, unlike this where only the wins matter.

AndreiLux posted a message on What is the worst class from a design perspective?Posted in: General DiscussionFrom a design perspective it's Demon Hunter, because hero power should cost the same for every class. From my personal taste perspective it's Rogue and Priest.

ZergritterHS posted a message on Titan Druid (70% WR to legend)Posted in: Titan Druid (70% WR to legend)Against aggro decks you just win with eonar + germination. You create a full board heal yourself to full life and when you cheat out yogg you can even clear the board or gain control f the opponents biggest minion. You can cheat out eonar as early as turn 3 with masked reveler.
One game I even did an OTK at turn six. I think it went something like this:
Trun 2: Invigorate
Turn 3: Coin + guff
Turn 4: Cheat out Eonar with masked reveler and draw a full hand
Turn 5: Play Moonlit into double biology plus solar biology
Turn 6: Play Eonar and germination and forbidden fruit 2 times to deal 30 Damage

RaptorWithWings posted a message on Double Decker - Titans Multitype Wild DecksPosted in: NewsWhen the expansion came out, everyone rushed to craft the legendary Titans and Keepers. I crafted Master freakin Oakheart.
I hope some of y’all appreciate how much I put into these articles. Even if you don’t use my decks yourselves, you can at least enjoy the pics of these nonsensically fun decks.

I'll go back to an argument I had back when the tavern pass was first introduced...considering the number of games that are releasing every single year, and the growing number of live service models getting adopted, you'd think a team behind a game that at its peak had tens of millions of people playing every day would figure out the best ways of keeping their player base interested in playing the game and wanting to come back because of the fun and desire to experiment, or anything that's enjoyable.
Grinding quests is anything but enjoyable.
I've had the same reaction when they introduced achievements, instead of something simple and rewarding, we got more grind for next to no reward...

I'd personally bump each by one mana, making them a 3,6, and 9 mana "bomb". I'd also prematurely retire Brann from core. Just to be safe.

Besides HS, I play 76 now and then for fun, and a number of small story based android games, depending on how much free time I have.

Looks decent, I'll play a few more games before I give an educated opinion on what works and what doesn't.
Considering the main focus is the quest and how to make use of the extra meaty dudes, I'm thing about if Varian is worth keeping around or not.

Looks good, I've changed Keysmith to a rolling fireball to have another token removal toll.

I've always appreciated the option to have a more diverse gameplay experience, especially in card games where ladder decks can become very "cookie-cutter-esc", very fast. This mechanic should help out quite a bit when it comes to diversifying plays on a turn to turn basis.

I'd be down for a randamonium style brawl that uses this concept as a twist, and work our way up from there. After the brawl, add the mechanic into some solo content, followed by a game-wide event that might last a week or two, and if the reception is good enough, make it a permanent thing.

Stiltstepper and Acrobatics need to be nerfed to 4 mana, then we can talk about balance.

Sounds good to me.
