posted a message on What is your mostly played class and why?

    Warlock.

between zoo, handlock, renolock, death knight/demon, discardlock, there have been so many variations that play in such different ways. Adding them all together makes warlock my most played class.

Only if you have a 2 mana or 3 mana card in hand that you think you'll play on turn 2. If not, keep your coin.

posted a message on Crystal Core and Silence
    Quote from Rusther >>

Today I was competing against a Quest Rogue as Miracle Priest.
He used Crystal Core after all his board was full of 5/5s and I used a Mass Dispel.
Well the result amazed me all 5/5s stayed as 5/5s and I was stood there looking as an id@!$#ot. My first thought was if it was some sort of a bug. After that I used Kabal Songstealer on another buffed 5/5 and still there was not other effect expect the silence chains.

Am I confused or something? I checked the text under his minions and the only thing that was written was Crystal Core (so this means that upgrating them into 5/5s is a buff).
As another example if this 5/5 thing was a class specificication how did I manage to steal the 5/5 as a 5/5 in another game? I don't remember how but somehow I manage to put my hands on one of their 5/5s (Pint-Size & Kabal, Sylvanas, MCTech) doesn't matter the 5/5 stood as it was as a buffed 5/5 minion, so this means that if I could steal it a 5/5 this is a general concept and not some sort of class specification.

I remember how surprised I was too when I did the exact same thing. The problem is that Crystal Core's buffs don't work like every other buff in the game so it just isn't intuitive. The other thing that caught me off guard was when I played Leeroy after the other guy played Crystal Core and he got two 5/5 tokens out of it.
The nice thing is once you make the mistake once, you don't do it again.

posted a message on Adventures were not profitable

The thing that I enjoy most about adventures is that for 5-6 weeks you get people experimenting with the new cards to build new decks. Even though the expansions have more cards, since they come out all at once it feels like the meta is set more quickly.

From a money standpoint, I pay for adventures, use gold for expansions. $20 or 2800 gold = adventure. $20 = 15 packs. 2800 gold = 28 packs. Seems like a no-brainer if you are going to spend money on one, you would spend it on adventures.

My other big piece of advice is to look at hand size as a resource. You want to continue to make 1 for 2 trades, meaning you use 1 card to remove the effects of 2 of his cards.

See, this is good advice for when you're playing an atrition/control/midrange deck against another slowish deck. When you're playing, let's say a somewhat aggressive hunter deck, you might just want to curve out every turn by weaving your hero power in there and just start grinding your opponent's face from turn 5. Arena is not just midrange/control match ups and the hardest part is imo knowing when to shift gears and go into smorc mode.
Agreed. You need to understand the strengths of each class. If you are playing hunter, you will most likely want to try to race your opponent down. If you are playing a more midrange class like paladin, mage, or rogue (my personnel favorites) you play the value game. One other really important point. It is almost always the correct decision to use your weapons to clear minions. Unless you able to kill your opponent, or are able to setup a next turn kill, you should always save your weapon strikes for board control.

Seriously. Feral Spirit alone can sometimes shut down pirate warrior.

Congrats on hitting legend! It doesn't matter what deck you use, the first time is a huge accomplishment.

I would say that on average you're probably getting a 3/2 as your second minion.  It's ok, but I think for five mana Stranglethorn Tiger is probably the more reliable card. Plus, tiger doesn't have the downside of playing it on a board without a beast on it.

It has synergy with Shatter. I'm confused by your argument. You don't like it because other minions get punished for attacking it?

Doomsayer is the stronger early play, but revenge is what you want in the later game from my experience. The 3 damage AOE can save you against a big shaman board, where if you played doomsayer they just kill it. Revenge also activates Grom, Execute, and Acolyte of Pain.
