Curse doesn't seem to care about Hearthpwn enough to update it promptly. Expansion was announced over a week ago and people want to build theorycraft decks with the new cards. Even Hearthstone Top Decks has new cards in their deck builder, and they suck!

Echo_ posted a message on Rise of ShadowsPosted in: GuidesI think it's because they are focusing on Hearthstation for whatever reason. Hopefully, they won't completely neglect this site since it has a larger established community and a more recognizable name imo, but only time will tell I guess.

1xbenx1 posted a message on New card - Omega DevastatorPosted in: Card DiscussionQuote from DittoLander >>Well, in this game, even a great card like this may not get a deck slot... so I don't know. Omega Agent is stronger than this and doesn't see play. But this definitely makes Omega Assembly and Boom's Hero Power stronger.
Omega Agent's problem is that there wasn't ever a home for her. 3x 4/5 doesn't mean much of anything at the end of the game. And hand buff warlock never materialized.
There is an obvious home for this in any control warrior. Destroying (virtually) any minion is incredibly useful at the end of the game. -

There are quite a few aggro or midrange decks where this downside isn't relevant, however a vanilla "4 mana: 5/5" is just not good enough for constructed. The only deck this would have real synergy in is a Jungle Giants druid, and that deck actually wants its deck so you don't fatigue instantly from the heavy card draw after playing Barnabus the Stomper.

Hobgoblin Token druid looking pretty good with this thing and Crypt Lord!

Well, sometimes people play around Mirror Entity by playing Battlecry minions, so this at least allows you to use those battlecries. It also provides some added value for Secret mages, which they definitely wanted with Duplicate gone. That said, this card is certainly worse than Duplicate because it's far less controllable.

A problem with using this in Lakkari Sacrifice is your opponent can actually discard your Nether Portal if they hit it again after you complete it. So, yeah, seems like Treachery shenanigans is the most consistent way to use this thing, but that seems weak too.

Battlecry is very powerful vs Jade decks or giants, similar to Lightbomb. The Hero power seems relatively weak for an upgraded hero power, unless you played Raza the Chained, in which case it can be pretty crazy!

You can use it to delay expensive board clears too (like Flamestrike), by a turn if they can remove it with single target removal, and by two turns otherwise. That should be game winning in a lot of situations if you're ahead.
3
Aggro decks are still playing the board control game at 3 mana, and would usually love to trade up into a 4/3 with their 3/2 or a smaller minion with a buff.
This card should often force them to make the choice of either giving you better trades than you would have otherwise, or giving you 6 life. That's certainly better than a vanilla 4/3; it's basically a 4/3 with stealth or gain 6 life depending on their choice.

And not every deck has to be a serious deck. I intend to have fun playing Yogg in control decks for classes which lack the big board clears like Brawl or Twisting Nether.

Of course, there's an absolutely enormously long list of cards you can fit into this deck to replace things, just look at the revision history! But I guess you probably want to put in another turn 6 play like Savage Combatant.

It's because mountain giant is usually almost unplayable against aggro decks, since you can't tap enough in the early game to make it cheap, and you can't afford to pay 7+ mana for an 8/8. When there is less aggro around, then you should drop the 2nd Shadowflame for a 2nd Mountain Giant.
