Dear Hearthpwn,
Almost a decade later why can y'all not figure out how to show every stage of the card?
I didn't even realize these cards had other stages until I saw them from another source.

This is a simple OTK Combo how it exists since Beta combined with some Dragon Package
Yes, Shadowreaper Anduin and Voidform are Vanilla options...

Murlocs and a Tavern Brawl based on randomness; a gross combination of two things I hate DX

Free cards/dust/whatever - thanks, Blizz!

Ya'll complainers should try the deck out for yourselves and see just how infrequently you get the dream of mega ramp + draw only Oakheart.
I stopped after 2 or 3 attempts because I got sick of drawing all my dragons before I drew Oakheart.

Who is familiar with this scenario:
- Play a deck of a specific archetype
- Consistently run into the same terrible match up for that deck several games in a row
- Realize, "This is the meta I'm playing against at this rank. I should change the deck I'm playing to counter this meta"
- Change to a deck that counters what you have seen for several match ups in a row
- Queue directly into the worst match up for your new deck, against a class you never saw and would have beaten with the deck you were running
- Weep as you continue to flush away stars
You've just described every hearthstone day of my life for the past several months.
You are not alone!

As a person who missed out on about a year's worth of card backs and has neither Tyrande or Khadgar, I agree 100% with you.

This is what I wish Wild was all the time. Instead of all old sets, restrict it to a few different sets and see what new things people might come up with.

I'm having fun playing this. That means a lot in Hearthstone sometimes.

Let's not just judge the op too harshly till we have all the facts. He said that he had two minions on the board, one of them being Mecha'thun. Maybe he doesn't play an OTK deck, just got a Mecha'thun by chance.
Or maybe he plays a Mecha'thun OTK deck and is just bad at the game.

It is apparently working, it is just the only card currently that interacts with cards in your deck in this way. All other cards except Geist interact with the current value of the card rather than its initial value.

Wasn't being rude or insinuating you missed something. I was implying that if the board had been in that state, you would have seen an animation which would have confirmed the behavior. Since they did not have a weapon equipped, nothing would have happened.
Artur's explanation was the same as mine, just more thorough.

So if you don't have coin there is not an OTK condition, right? So if you go first it is just a general control style win condition unless you get a horseman to stick on board for a turn?

In casual, it is good to have comparable decks to what you can run in the pool of opponents you can play. If, like me, you have basically every card they have printed, I should see people in casual that have access to that card pool. New players should never see someone like me in casual.
Maybe a solution is, IN CASUAL, restrict your potential opponents to those where their dust value is within some region of yours. You could adjust for golden cards and duplicates beyond 2 copies easy enough to keep the banding pretty true. It might make matchmaking take a bit longer as your pool of potential opponents would be significantly smaller, but the quality of games should be much better.
In ranked, there should be no matchmaking. If you queue into a match at a rank you should match up against any opponent at that rank.

Do you also buy t-shirts from concerts you didn't go to?

Uses motto of the Faceless Men, has no Faceless cards in the deck...
