Polymorph wil leave a 1/1 with no taunt, hex would leave a 0/1 with taunt, sap would leave you nothing except the locked up crystals, only silence would leave a 7/8 with no taunt
Exactly, the best I ever saw it used was in handlock, once you get your giant walls up, if they can't one shot kill them, they waste a few minions into lowering them, then you recombob them and are garunteed to get the same card back since they're casting costs are unique, so its a free heal for 2 mana
Thanks Cronaz, love the basis for the deck. As with anything, I've tinkered with it a bit to serve my personal taste and play style but the idea and structure is all yours. For the first time I don't feel completely overmatched as a shaman to EVERY other class.
My changes included -2 chows for +2 zap-o, -1 mana tide +1 feral spirit, -1 al'akir +1 doom hammer, -1 sledge +1 drake, -1 fire ele +1 cairn (rein-cairns so damn well HAD to include him)
May be a silly question, but can someone explain to me why Chows are so good. I understand in my priest deck because I can keep healing them and triggering cleric card draws and chow keeps eating the zoo low minions, but in any other deck that can't heal the chows they seem to get get removed, or kill 1-2 minions and then heal for 5, which doesn't seem to trade all that well
TBH, everyone says Shaman is supposed to be strong early game, but I always seem to either be behind in life or board presence and never catch up. In such a case, I guess Al'Akir would be the answer, though honestly, since I'm F2P and have so little good cards I think I might do Dr. Boom since he fits in all decks rather than just my one.
Well, I feel Doomhammer is pretty similar in its finish power. Al'Akir can clear the board a bit better and be a wall, but as far as finishing power, which is how most people say they use him, a doomhammer is almost exactly the same and less expensive. For that reason I was holding off as I feel 1600 for a slightly improved Doomhammer is steep. I don't know of anything similar to Nept's card advantage. That or Dr. Boom seems to be in every top tier deck these days. 7/7 body and some board clear seems pretty good. That or Slyvannas since she is a bit faster, but I already have a crap ton of 6 drops.
Tsafy or anyone who wants to throw in their two cents.
I have two worthless legends (Deathwing and Hemet) and enough dust that if I combine all three I can make a Legend, or a bunch of blues. Wondering what you guys suggest. I have Rag, Cairn and TBK. Was considering Slyvannas, Dr. Doom, or the two shaman class legends. I play Shaman as my 75% of the time deck, but wondering if a useful neutral was a better idea overall? And in general, which is better for a shaman if you can only have one. Al'akir or Nept?

Should of mentioned I already have Aya, though since I've posted I've begun considering thalanos as well

I like free fish! (aka, mana tide totem the only real shaman card draw)

If you could only craft one. Al'akir or Nept, which is more important. Isn't Doomhammer, almost a Al'akir. I can't think of any close sub for Nept?
