posted a message on This Week's Tavern Brawl is The Battle for Gadgetzan

Got Paladin for both games, I played, and beat my priest and druid opponent.  Priest was tough, but some good control plays brought me back from near death, and I had Anduin staring at a board of 6 x 6/6s and an Ashbringer.  Pretty sure the druid was just a bad player.

There is absolutely no reason for him to stick around because of the kabal legendaries forcing players to play highlander decks already.

The Kabal legendaries will not be enough to keep highlander decks relevant.  Kazakus will also lose much of his power with Brann cycling out. The class highlander cards are not enough.  One is good enoigh to see play, 1 rarely in the rare Reno mage, and the 3Rd doesnt see hardly any play at all in Renolock.  They will need new tools constantly introduced which I am for, preferably at the start of new rotation.
Why should highlander decks stay relevant, to start with ?
My only issue with Reno is that long games in the ladder are a problem. That's why everybody is playing aggro when laddering, because the win rate isn't important, stars/hour is, and you can cram 15 games in an hour with a pirate deck.
The other thing is, playing reno decks relies heavily on draw RNG and rewards bad deck building. I do love playing them in casual for my dailies, but if I wanted to do the legend grind I'd rather cut my throat than have to face all those stall decks.
Because not everyone cares about grinding speed? Btw  Is aggro so weak? Are pirates so horribly oppressed by Reno decks?  Those nasty Reno decks are too much?  Sorry but when I hit rank five within 3 days of the expansion release, playing a broken aggro deck on my phone, one handed, while my infant son spitting up Similac down my neck and shoulder, your complaints about long games and struggles of aggro players seem like something out of the twilight zone.

posted a message on Tri-Class Card Drop Rates Fixed - Affected Players Will Receive 33% of Packs Opened as Compensation

Opened 91 packs and got 2 Kazakus and Don Han'Cho. While I was annoyed at the number and 2 dupes, I was glad I at least opened a Legendary, I wanted.  Got the murloc ninja from quest packs later.

Then I got 31 packs for the pack issue, and I could not be happier.   This time I got a Golden Kazakus, Aya, and Wrathion as well as the remaining epics, I wanted.

Synergies well with Kazakus.  Reno mage is looking pretty good with these new additions.

posted a message on Card Nerf - Yogg-Saron, Hope's End

Had time for a few games today.  Shout out to the 2 druids that played yogg, providing me with some comedy relief.  1st cast doom to fatigue themselves.  2nd made me literally lol when the FIRST spell was a fireball to Yogg's face.  Good times.

posted a message on Headed for Legend - S30 September 2016

I hit legend earlier in the week, using midrange shaman with Harrison Jones and Bloodlust for the final push to legend.  Actually, made a couple friends of control warriors after some epic matches.

Second to last game before legend was a match where I harrisoned a doom hammer off an aggro shaman.  Another big fist pump moment was flamewreath played on turn 4 with a hex in my hand. The clinching game was a tough nail biter with a tempo mage.  I was around 12ish health for 3 turns, before finally getting a concession from the mage.

Here's my proof and deck list.

If hitting legend wasn't enough to celebrate, my son was born a couple days later.  So I doubt I'll be forgetting this week.

posted a message on BatStone #1: Hearthstone Differently - A Standard Tournament with Card Bans

So they are banning the card that is keeping hunter relevant.  War axe ban is stupid as well.  Tuskar totemic, Barnes, and Yogg make perfect sense given the uproar over rng harming the competitive scene.  Those 3, I can understand but the other 2 are just salty players.  Believe me, I have been on the receiving end of those cards as well.

I have a better idea for 2 card bans.

    Knife juggler and flame juggler.
