I like using 'well played' emote when my opponent is low health while i hover over my card and his face, somtimes my enemy just surrenders eventho i bluffed.
Just got pretty schooled by in mage vs mage mirror :D
He played desperation secret in T4 cause i cleared every single thing he played for first 3 rounds with spells and got 2 nice minions on board and had Kezan Mystic in hand and i was like "oh dude ur f***", stole the secret and it was Mirror Entity and i was like "haha ur soooooooo f***" then he played Explosive Sheep which got coppied by Mirror Entity and cleared my secret and board for 1 card :D that was so sad :D
I was watching old Kripp vods some time ago he pulled similiar thing with Doomsayer except the enemy had a lot of stuff on the board while kripp nothing :D That value.
Despite all the math n stuff. I think the ratio is lower than the classic packs. I opened 120 packs from gvg and got 3 legendaries. Same hapend to reynad, sjow, a couple other streamers aswell. From classic packs I would get ATLEAST 2 per 40 packs that I bought, usually 3 to 5. Also I got alot less epics from gvg packs. I'm sure there's some crazy formula for all this but I think they straight up lowered the drop rate for more money
I BOUGHT 120 PACKS FIRST MINUTE GVG WAS AVAILABLE. SO WITH THE 3 FREE ONES, I HAVE OPENED 123 PACKS.
ONLY 4 WHERE LEGEND!! GTFO BLIZZARD.
I was so salty I closed the game and still haven't played GvG/HS yet.
We all know Arena has gotten harder because of various reasons. People saving gold for GvG, WoW expansion etc. I am not an Arena newbie (600 wins) but am still facing some stiff competition.
Yesterday I went 4:3 in Arena with a Mage deck and I got the following rewards.
1 Pack
55 Gold
1 Freezing Trap
Going 4:3 meant that I had to play 7 games. Each game of Arena averages around 12-15 minutes for me. Which means I spent around 90 minutes on the run.
Balancing the rewards with the Arena purchase it looks like I bought a pack for 95 gold and got 5 dust. So total profit for 90 minutes of work = 5 gold + 5 dust
So I went back to constructed and started playing my Fast-Go to the Face Hunter deck (playing ranked). Average time for each game was 6-8 minutes and I am on an 80% winrate at level 13. Which means I can win approximately 9 games in 90 minutes which gives me a profit of 30 gold. (10 gold per 3 wins) which is better than 5 gold + 5 dust.
For people like me who have limited time in the evening assuming you will average around 4 wins in arena (this week at least) do you think it is more profitable to play constructed. I don't need to play Ranked I can just play Casual just for the gold. I have most common and rare cards and am only missing some core legendaries, so I keep getting cards that need to be dusted. Which is why packs are not worth for me at the moment.
What are your calculations? When Arena is less profitable then constructed strictly in terms of time investment assuming various variables? One more variable I didn't consider in my time investment was that it does take some time to draft an Arena deck too.
You can't min max something that is inherently enjoyable. If you consider the fact that playing arena is more fun than constructed, it might actually be a better investment of your time to do so even if it technically takes more matches to achieve the same amount of gold (this is just an example).
You should, however, group similar quests together and tackle them all in one go.
Objectively, if you can achieve 5-6 wins consistently, arena gives a quicker rate of dust gain.
Arena is double edged sword, while its more fun at times it can also be more soul crushing when you lose against bad player who just wins because of lucky topdeck eventho he made couple of bad decisions before.
I am rank 6 so far and i played with these self created decks since release:
HobGoblin + Jeeves Mage (viable) Mill Rogue (experimental) WeaponMech Rogue (experimental) Mech Warrior (experimental failure) Control Paladin (needs a lot of tuning, but could get viable)
Sadly i played most of the time versus normal (or 95% normal) decks so far. Seems like people actually try to rank instead of testing the new cards. Still having a lot of fun by playing self-made & not netdeck inspired decks : - )
Well your rank is high so no wonder try to test your decks at play mode.
Casual is for casuals ;-) I already hit legend multiple times and do not care about my rank at all. Just want to have fun and ranked plays are the best benchmark :)
Sure thing those bots at rank 5 are really skilled :^)
Anyways curse dr. boom, my self made mech rogue is inferior to this creation :D Still fun to play.

People don't have GvG cards yet! Not everyone is willing to spend money immediately upon expansion. They will use the same winning strategy until it gets countered. If you have problems with it, counter it! You just got a whole bunch of new cards to play with, so it's reasonable to say that a new counter to hunter is imminent.
You don't need to spend money to get them, many ppl like me saved gold for it.
I bought 23 packs with gold and it is enough to make decent mech deck.

Keep your chin up, atleast you are not a priest player :^)

Most of the ppl can't make anything other than some type of incomplete mech deck because of the lack of cards to make other decks around GvG cards.
