Yeah it's the same thing technically. Highlander is though more related to Standard and Reno is tied with wild.
Team Wild Side has funny names of the decks in general though (not only this name for Renolock) xD "Control Highlander Priest" and "Combo Highlander Priest", "Time Warp Mage" etc.
The class has been super bad in Standard for like a year or so, original Galakrond Shaman was the only good thing. Shamanstone is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in the past years. I don't really think that in the past DH/Res Priest/Hunter flood actually made someone so vocal as the comunity is right now. I think we rather need to fix the class identity and make actually some quality decks and cards to play with, not Evolve and terrible Overload mechanics.
If they nerf it, then R. I. P. Shaman again in Standard for like a year.
If the list didn't run too many greedy cards and just ran Lifedrinker, it could work good. Even the guide looks not too bad.
To explain my ego-sounding comments - I am stumbling upon Reno Shaman decklists too often here and I play various Reno Shamans exclusively. This one forces you to dump your hand and lose extra Shudderwocks. It also is heavily reliant on Instructor Fireheart spells (which also fill up your hand) for lethal, has no safe way to finish of the opponent safely.
I wanna see stats for this because I simply like it even though it's not too consistent.
I don't really like the card for Reno Shaman, you can just use other tutors that are more flexible and having Shudderwock in hand is what usually happens, that is why you don't need to run him. In addition to that, it kinda contradicts the Sphere. I'd put in basically anything.
Btw - teching the Ooze is not that relevant, now you tech in Kobold Stickyfinger, as that counters Rogue, especially Kingsbane, Odd and then other decks running weapons (Mage, Warlock and you can even steal Sphere of Sapience).
List doesn't run bad cards but it needs something more to be consistent.
I play variety of Reno Shaman lists almost exclusively, and go to legend with it often. I expected some utter garbage, like when I always click on "Reno Shaman" decks here, but this one swaps a few cards and is good to go. Take out Polkelt and I think the list will just work better. I suggest putting Grizzled Finley combo in the deck, since it's weak to Reno Priest in some ways. Also, your list doesn't really support the bounce - which can be enabled by Murmuring Elemental + Emperor Thaurissan or Faceless Corruptor + Barista Lynchen.
Want to hear/read out your opinion on Healing Wave + Groundskeeper, since I don't think none of these two are worth it.
Btw, Quest version is now pretty superior just because of Lightning Bloom and Tour Guide, never run the Quest synergy cards (Explorer, Adventurer and Captain with Parrot, these just don't belong here)
Don't forget to adapt this deck to your meta - you can flex in a card like Devolving Missiles or put back my old inclusion Lightning Storm to make it more comfortable to play :)
Hey guys, updated the decklist. The guide is to be updated after the settled meta but so far, 30 games and I have about 85% WR. Lightning Bloom literally pushed this deck to atleast low Tier 1. Don't sleep on it and play that until the card gets nerfed!
Glad it worked! Yeah, probably will remove the Portal too, since the aggro went down a bit. You got the strat right :) also, agreed on 100% with the last sentence!
Hey there, Jepetto Joybuzz is not replacable, since it is almost a core card of the deck and no other card has a similar effect. I'd go with some draw mechanic card.
I fully support you on fixing this :) Innkeeper was lovely for me, since it doesn't require any specific environment/installing on my computer. Thank you for looking into this problem.

About the name - it's commonly called Linecracker Druid or Armor Druid.

Grumble, Worldshaker is replacable with Barista Lynchen, the deck would be worse with it though.
