If you are F2P, why will you insist on owning every legendary in a new expansion.

If you are P2W, how is this game expensive compared to mobile gacha games. People throw thousands at gacha just to get a particular top tier hero, whereas a mega bundle cost less than a hundred once per quarter.

Lastly, if you notice, even top tier decks use less than 10 cards from a new expansion. In other words, if you have been playing for example hunter now, all you need is probably craft 5 cards or so and you can continue enjoying the new expansion. Why must you be greedy enough to insist on having a full collection to enjoy the game

Getting your moneys worth is not greedy. Why are you defending this shit?

I am also getting more and more disturbed by this whole rework bamboozle. Lets give em these weeks to see how it actually implements into our life, maybe it is better, maybe not - then we demand changes.

Why give them weeks when we can clearly calculate that the system is worse?

Oh christ who the fuck cares? Stick to one thread for crying out loud. This place has descended into some sort of amateur mathematics club with children spending hours arguing about averages, making up their own numbers and having bitch fits over min/max xp in a flipping card game.

Play or don't play, it's up to you. If it doesn't work for you, do something else or at least keep all your petty and boring maths debates to one thread.

posted a message on Celestalon math is wrong

    His math: link

He assumes a player play the game an hour a day on average, yet only completes 75% of the dailies. In reality, if you play an hour a day on average it would be closer to 100% of the daily. We can keep the 75% of the weekly quests, since this player might not play every game or be good enough to complete every game modes weekly quests. This player would in the old system get 55 gold an average from dailies and 10-20 gold every hour for playing, depending on fast or slow decks and winrate. So (55 + 15) * 120 = 8400 gold in the old system.

Another assumption is that the player gets 400 xp per hour, which is the max for in match hour. In reality it is closer to 300-350 xp per hour on average. The 1 hour a day player will not play ranked exclusively, so lets say he gets 300 xp per real hour

A third assumption is the xp from achievements. For the duels achievements he assumes that this player, which might be a standard player, will get 11 wins in duels, since 11 wins gives you 9500 xp. I would instead assume that a player that plays for 1 hour a day will probably get around 3 wins, which is 2700 xp.

For the darkmoon achievements his assumption is also wrong. Many of the achievments are tied to legendaries. This player we base the math upon has around 8400 * 0.75 = 6300 gold, since the expansion ends quite early. So this player would have around 3 darkmoon legendaries. Thus I'd estimate he earns half the darkmoon achievements. 12500 * 0.5 is 6250 xp.

    Thus the complete math is:

    Daily quests: 120 days * 100% * 900 xp = 108000 xp

    Weekly quests: 17 weeks * 75% * (2500 + 1750 + 1750) xp = 76500 xp

    Playtime: 120 days * 1 hour * 300 xp = 36000 xp

    Duels achievments: 850 xp + 900 xp + 950 xp = 2700 xp

    Darkmoon achievements: 50% * 12500 xp = 6250 xp

    Total xp = 108000 + 76500 + 36000 + 2700 + 6250 = 229450 xp

The first 50 levels requires 196200 xp.

This player would get to level 58, which is as celestelon says. He would get 5400 gold + 16 packs, 2 arena/duel tickets, 2 legendaries and 1 epic card. This is way worse than the 8400 gold he usually gets.

posted a message on [Math] Old VS New Reward System [UPDATED]

Your math is a bit off, since xp per hour is max 400 per in-match hour. So the xp per hour is more like 300-350.

For questing adventure it is a level less.

For the farmer it is 3-6 levels less.

For the streamer it is 6-12 levels less.

For the average player it is 1-2 levels less.

There seems to be one major point you're not taking into consideration: You're looking at rank 50 as the end game.

As you are a player who plays every day, you may end up with a lot more gold than before.

Currently, we don't know how long it will take to hit rank 50. I imagine they will want to make this as attainable as possible. It all depends on how fast we hit rank 50 and how much exp we need for each repeatable 150 gold reward after that. As you play often, you may hit rank 50 within a month or two. Once you start working on the repeatable 150 gold rewards, you may end up with a lot more gold at the end of the expansion than you usually would for the same amount of play - it seems far too early to tell.

We do know, how long it will take, on average, to reach level 50. Outof.cards has published the datamined full reward track including the required amounts of exp per level. Without going into detail, since I haven't memorized the exact key numbers, the last two levels on the reward track require over 9000 exp each (it exponentially rises to that point), and level 50 and beyond require over 4000, with 4500 being the maximum eventually.

The numbers are pretty clear, and for the vast majority of all players, the new system is significantly worse, and doesn't hold up to what was promised. Especially, when you don't try to convert non-gold rewards into "gold value", which was at no point implied either.

The people that benefit from the new system are people who play very infrequently, because they can complete the early levels of the reward track easily, and the people who play many, many hours per day, because the new system doesn't limit the amount of exp you can make per day. But under 8 hours or so, the new system is still worse for them, because eventually, the exp/gold ratio is plain insulting.

That may be the reason why they used 10 hours and 1000 hours as examples.

You realize that you just linked a thread that says their final verdict is that the new system is BETTER for most players right?

My conclusion was that the new system gives more reward overall, but I have also mentioned that you get less gold, which proves that Blizzard actually lied. I like the new system but I dont try to defend Blizz, they just lied, period.

Exactly. Blizzard clearly said we should earn slightly more gold, and also get non-gold, in almost all cases. The only one in the scenario in the linked thread that earns more gold is the streamer.
