I also agree - I’ve had enough of this bottomless money making pit. No matter what collection you have the Rock Paper Scissors matchmaking and “random” rng results in a super frustrating experience

jazzfan27 posted a message on Priest had worst classic set.Posted in: General DiscussionPriest has always had the worst classic set of cards. This has meant that the expansions for Priest have had to be a bit on the higher power level to keep Priest even. If Priest just gets fair cards it goes into the dumpster (check current meta).
So, how do they address this power imbalance? They take away Mind Blast (a useful Priest card) and replace it with Radiance (a shit Priest card).
It's hard to enjoy Priest now because it's just going to be on a pattern where it'll be crap the first expansion of the year, ok the second, and finally reach tier #2 in the third. (If Priest gets to tier #1 folks lose their minds and nerfs come)

Dunscot posted a message on New Priest Card - RadiancePosted in: Card DiscussionHow big a troll do you have to be; how hard do you have to try to make a strictly inferior version not only of one but TWO older cards?! Was there a meeting? Did the folks from the design team sit in a room and said "let's try to come up with a REALLY bad card", and kept debating because the ideas were still too good, until one guy suggested that you could make a card that is much worse than both Flash Heal AND Binding Heal? Was he like "maybe restore 5 Health to a friendly character", and then someone said, "nah, still too good, but what if you could ONLY heal your hero with it?"
I want to say "Dust it", but I can't even dust it!!!
And to the people saying "It's basic, it's not meant to be competitive": You know, let's say I agree with you and I ignore the many good basic cards that still exist and are competitively relevant. I don't, but let's pretend you have a point there.
Basic cards should still AT LEAST be decent for new players, like introducing them to core concepts of the class, giving them starting tools to learn the game and get by in the 50-25 ladder. There are other terrible basic cards, yes, but even among the likes of Totemic Might, Warsong Commander and Charge, this is one of the worst. It does NOTHING aside from telling players "Guess what, Priests can heal themselves!". It is almost worse than the friggin' hero power that at least challenges you to notice that you can heal minions too!
No, you can't say it's basic and thus should be bad. There is a limit to how bad basic cards are allowed to be. I'd agree that Team5 has crossed that line before, but that's hardly an excuse to do it again, like "We messed up before - can't be mad at us".
All the changes the devs have made to basic cards over the years really is just a middle finger to anyone who ever cared about introducing new players to the game, like Trump's video series "Basic Teachings", and a middle finger to anyone who will pick this game up in the future. And this is NOT what Hearthstone is supposed to be. This is not what the original Team5 had in mind, and not what millions of people around the world fell in love with!
Again, this is not the very worst of them, and you would have a point in saying that Mind Blast was just as useless for new players, but it's another insult in a way too long series of insults to new players and veterans alike. There is NO excuse for this. So don't give me the "it's a basic card" bullshit, trying to justify what does not deserve justification! If you have fun playing devil's advocate, at least have the decency to admit that you are deliberately trolling!

So yeah, I don't like.

stevebobby posted a message on Let's talk about PriestPosted in: Standard FormatQuote from Wingdude22 >>I think the problem with Priest is that if you want to play aggro there are better classes. If you want to play midrange there are better classes. If you want to play control there are better classes. And if you want to play combo, there are better classes.
Generally speaking Priest does well when it has either great control or great combo tools. It has neither at the moment. Or at least not a critical mass of such tools.
Priest probably need either a top shelf board clear or a nice tutor to push them into relevance again.
Agree. Shadow visions and Psychic scream are missed.
Shadow visions and Psychic Scream are certainly not missed.
Psychic Scream was the most broken aoe that probably ever existed in HS , and Shadow Visions helped to reliably get the spells to win their mu like nothing seen before. ( Just imagine how broken it would be in Rogue atm )
The problem with Priest is that IF the class is viable it has usually good anti aggro tools, and by default Priest has good anti Control cards , either by OTKing your opponent or by overwhelming via value with cards like Mindcontrol or other steal effects. That’s why the meta feels relatively balanced. A lot of classes have a chance against each other, and the most viable OTK deck ( Shirvalla Paladin) wich is actually more like a two turn kill, has to interact way more than Priest ever had to do plus it always has to go to fatuige to win consistently.
Buffing more arms was the right choice into the right direction. Strong Minions, Buff effects, and "Board interactive" aoe . Everything else would simply be oppressive and unfun to play against.
Ah, the lame "...would simply be oppressive and unfun to play against." argument. If that is a metric as to what cards or classes should or should not be in the meta, then Bomb Warrior and Conjurer's Mage should not exist. The argument that it is "unfun" to play against just plain stupid and intellectually dishonest.
Look at the last meta, while it was time for it to end, it was one of the best, and balanced metas that Hearthstone has ever had, and this was a meta that included a strong Priest presence. Yes, I'm sure the "but rez priest was unfun to play against" argument will come to mind immediately, where as I would say yes, it was a very competitive deck, but it was not any where near as oppressive as Conjurer's Mage is right now.
I wouldn't have any complaints if Shadow Visions or Psychic Scream were to be added to the Priest core set. It would at least give them a fighting chance in each Meta, rather than being at the bottom for 80% of the year. Yes yes, Priest has had their time, their very short time of being powerful, yet repeatedly other classes stay at the top of the meta the majority of the time, *cough* Warrior, Druid *cough* and people seem fine with that, oddly enough.
The only reason cards of that power need to be given to Priest is their core set is so poor. But Team 5, or what ever they are going by now, in their infinite wisdom have said, repeatedly, that Priest will be helped only through card expansions.

vitor_voa posted a message on Let's talk about PriestPosted in: Standard FormatWhat you guys think about the Priest class in this meta? What is the biggest problem? Do you think blizzard won't change it because in Wild format it works well? In my opinion it's unfair to let a class completely out of meta.
Let me know your opinion!
Have a nice day!

Brian Kibler literally left the stream sad/angry yesterday and said that today he would stream again but that he is not excited to play the game right now because the OTK decks kill him before turn 7. There are a lot of competitive players on Twitter that are making jokes about 'solitaire game' and that the meta right now is a failure. Thijs put 'Solitaire Game' as his Stream category. A lot of streamers/professional players are so fed up about the meta right now and you are here defending the OTK decks and that the streamers you are watching are having a great time. Don't lie to make your point valid.

The best one of the 4 IMO.

I really like the card. A minion with very low stats that resurrects another minion and also gives Reborn. It's a resurrect card that Big Priest does not support, and that's always good. So they should continue to create resurrection cards like this, bad minions in stats that give a lot of value and tempo for their Battlecry effect.

As a Main Priest, I'm so sad that Blizzard hates that much my favourite class. I'm so bored with the cards that they give us every expansion, I feel that they are so weak in comparison with the other class cards.

The priest spell feels SO weak lol

Lol, I love it in a Priest deck with high health minions. The first good Rager.

I've seen the new legendary card and I couldn't resist.
I know it is a meme, but who knows, maybe it can work.
