posted a message on Upcoming Nerf Predictions

Nerfed Albatros makes no sense. This card was introduced to counter highlander decks and with only 1 bird in enemy's deck it won't work anymore and will be pointless.

Actually, what makes no sense is that Zephrys and company activated their effect if your deck has no duplicate instead of if your deck started with no duplicated. Same for PurePaladin, Spell Mage. Otherwise, the design of Albatros would be correct.

posted a message on Albatros will now counter Spell mage decks !

Personally, I beleive that the problem is not Albatros but the design of the cards. It should be “if your decked started without creatures/duplicates, then....” What gets me mad is those Zephrys in decks that draw a lot.

And yeah, I do not play Spell Mage because of the frustration of a possible Albatros.

Its day 2. It takes tine to find a good counter, and of course a new class will make a lot of players play that class.

DH obviosuly is strong, but who kones in a couple of weeks. I bet they will nerf a couple of the DH cards in the next few weeks, and then all will be good.

It already feels like warlock is a really good counter to it tbh.

Put down your little demon that pew pew a 10 random damage? Sound, I'll pop Zeraku down and then sac pact him. Cheers for the board and most likely more healing than you even damaged for. The amount of healing and lifesteal available for warlock helps stay out of their reach and with the ability to generate more spells you can dark skies, sac pact and plot twist out of all sorts.

It will most likely be less effective than it is now but for the time being it counters it quite nicely.

Also Priest is a good idea, as you might beat him thanks to copying some of their cards (they are almost all OP, so doesn't not matter too much with) and  to the ton of healing.

We are Blizzard's testing team. And I'd very much like to keep my job.

feels like 8 year old little timmy son of michael bay tested these cards.

he likes the big numbers and flashy effects.

By we he meant we, the players, the community.

Fuck blizzard. it's like they didn't even bother playtesting their game. They get insane tempo, insane boardclear, insane healing, and they still get strong control tools and finishers like Imprisoned Antaen. I've even tried playing decks to directly counter DH, and they can just burst so much on one turn by slamming down Antaen, waiting 2 turns, and then hitting you with the 10 damage from that + whatever weapon/attack they get. I thought blizzard said they didn't like decks that weren't very intractable gut I guess not :/

As for Imprisoned Antaen the situation is ever worse. It is not just a finisher. It create great Swing turns, and, unlike Reno, you cannot defend yourself by not putting minions or trading everything before its awaken, because it goes to your face. Also, if by any chance some minion survive with 2 lives, it is so easy for DH to make value trades that in practice, it easily is a board clearer.

I think that DH is too OP. I mean, let us take Ur'zul Horror and compare it with Small-Time Buccaneer; a card with was nerfed because 2 health was too good considering the synergy with Rogue hero power. I mean, Ur'zul Horror is much more powerful, considering that DH can attack easily every turn, specially considering Twin Slice. In the worst case scenario, and I have lived it, your opponent can do in turn 1 with a coin a double Ur'zul Horror and an attack with Twin Slice, and this is just one example. Also, having a hero power which just costs 1 is too strong, as it makes it much more easier than other class to curve well. It would be much more fair cost 2: gain 1 attack and 1 life; or, even better, gain 2 attack and lose 2 lives.

    Quote from Inzan1ty >>

Res Priest is dead without Cloning Gallery, that was the biggest Powerturn, and only reason to play cool big cards like Colossus of the Moon, Hakkar, the Soulflayer or Big Bad Archmage

The "Shadow Priest Dream" will never see the surface of light in Standart, and Blizzard completely exaggerated with their Priest overhaul, should have included couple classic/basic cards from Roque, Sap is broken, Shadowstep is super broken, Prep and Edwin obviously as well.

I still have the hope Blizzard will surprise us before the 7th of April, in the last reveal of cards, that they will do changes to Rogue too, and change Sap, Eviscerate and Shadowstep (and maybe Prep) by secrets and change Edwin for some other legendary.

posted a message on Now leaving Hearthstone: Zetalot

Lackeys this time. . . every few months someone else has a new reason why everyone's leaving Hearthstone, and the game's about to die, etc etc. If they changed the lackey thing tomorrow, some other guy or girl would quit over some other dumb thing they don't like, and everyone will jump on that doom wagon. If Zetalot wants to leave, good for him, everyone needs to switch it up now and then. Just as many people hated his Priest concoctions as hate the stupid lackey nonsense now, so his proclamation is essentially meaningless.

But this is exactly why Hearthstone is doomed.  every time there is a super OP "thing"  the only solution to erase it is introducing an evem more powerful shit to overcome the previous. It will be worse and worse until finally they will make Hearthstone 2 wiping out all the crap they generated every expansion.

We're in the most OP meta as all six expansions are still in play. Once they rotate out the power level will drop and people who enjoy OP decks will complain about how slow/weak/unfun/underpowered the meta is. The cycle is always the same.

Streamers leaving isn't necessarily a bad thing as it allows new streamers to come through.

And for those slagging off the developers - the level of content and communication, as well as the willingness to change things quickly if required is the best it has ever been.

Do you realise that the current tempo Galacron Rogue uses just cards of basic/classic and the last 3 expansions?

    Quote from kiril2 >>

Rogue is like DeathStalker Rexxar Hunter was last year.  Due to the busted discover dragon and spell lackeys they can out value matchups they shouldn't be able to.  Those lackeys should not discover, but give random class spell or random dragon

Exactly, yesterday I fought a Tempo Rogue who almost outvalued Control Warrior (and it didn't out-valued me because I had a lucky Elysiana).  They got the card with introduces 10 Warrior cards in the deck, so I got into fatigue before them. Can you believe that?

A very constructive comment, which I appreciate.

I have never stated that I haven't played rogue myself. Because I have. And I do agree it's fun (altho i never seem to have the openers they have against me :D). But that wasn't really the point of the thread. My point was that I was pretty damn unlucky that night. Facing so many rogues and losing most games because they seem to find the right discover and draw all the time against me, even when I was playing a deck that is supposed to beat them consistently.

My 2nd point was to talk about other people's opinions and experiences in facing rogue. Do other people find it equally annoying to play against? And ofcourse finding another good deck to beat them consistently and getting past the last couple of games to get to legend (I'm stuck on rank 1-2 for a couple of days now).

Ofcourse I could always get better at the game, although I'm confident that I'm pretty good at it already. Improving my game is something I care about. But even if your the best player in the world, there will always be a lot of games in hearthstone that you lose because of RNG. and it was not on my side.

All in all, this thread was pretty useful for me:
    - I felt better after writing my experience, because it was a way to vent the salt out of my system. Sharing bad experiences can be very helpful to a person.
    - I've read other people's opinions, some were the same as mine, some weren't.
    - Some people gave me advice for a couple of decks that works very good against rogue. A couple of these decks I tried and they were mostly a success.

Hope this clarifies things for you :D

The problem with Rogue right now is that the Legendary of cost 6 has become much more consistent,  so it can easily draw 7 cards and turn their cost 0. Yeah, the new Tempo Rogue is pretty annoying because i hardly arrive to turn 10, so cards like Alex just do not see play.

posted a message on WHERE ARE NERFS!!!?? >:(
    Quote from Lanko >>

Nerfs cancelled now that Shaman winrate dropped and the meta adjusted with the appearance of some decks that do well against it (Face Hunter, Quest Hunter, Holy Wrath Paladin, etc) and other powerful decks like DR Rogue.

They will collect more data until the beginning of next year and then see if nerfs are still needed or not.

I think, if what you say is true, that it would be a wise choice. Call me conservative, but I prefer to know that worst thing I can face is a DeathNight Shaman than tons of Aggro Hunter or Combo Rouge.

I'm also having fun since I really like playing Highlander Hunter, and there are some good additions and stuff to try. I don't do that much ranked though so I don't get bored of facing shaman all the time.

I actually have made Legend with Highlander Hunter, even after (or maybe because) facing a ton of Shamans, which proofs that there are other viable decks even if people do not use it (oh, and the secret Highlander deck I used was also good against all those crazy aggro made to destroy Shaman before turn 7).

Yeah. I hope the nerf to Shaman cards just limits to Mutate and Mogo (the “7” cost card that has rush) because it does a hell of a job stopping Pirate Warrior, which has the potential to be a trully cancern deck (because of its speed). So, yeah, even if I am not playing it, I think that this Shaman deck (which is very different to the former rabit +Mogo+Evolve on turn 4) is keeping the meta healthy. Indeed, its explosive turns come significatively later.

    Are you nuts?

What you describe is the previous year meta... It's the closest you can go to the first time everybody felt the game was dying

The OP's irony - > .  You -->                               .   Clearly missed it. He is suggesting that the changes have pretty much destroyed an almost healthy meta ( I agree mainly for Evolve and less for Flamewaker and N'Zoth, maybe because  the EU ladder from rank 5 to Legend and at Legend is 35% Shamans)

Flamewaker is not a problem because the deck is beaten by the evolve combo, aggro and creature based control decks, but it could have been really annoying. As for Nzoth is boring because it is a too defensive card.
