If you tech right rogue still beats hunter. In 3-0 for my last 3 rogue vs hunter matchups. The problem with Galakrond in general is it limits all other card design in all classes effected, because of the unreal power spikes.
All rogue has is galakrond ATM in fairness. Highlander rogue suffers heavily from hi/low rolls and like you mentioned agro is generally favoured against rogue. Also, Enbiggen quest druid stomps on rogue too. Infact probably more than any face deck. It's hard to beat 50+ hp, and a board of massive taunts and rush minions and rogue isn't fast enough in most cases to finish the druid early.
Update: just had a match that's a prime example of the extreme RNG in the current meta. Rogue isn't that much of an issue, it's cards like Alex that can create 40+ mana value turns, making any skill or plays essentially void.
What type of mentality, do you suppose, must a person possess to post a thread such as this?
Is the intent to garner attention? To gather supporters to their cause? Or just to piss and moan, in the hopes of feeling better through others' shared pissing and moaning?
I can offer, dear thread creator, two courses of action for you to take.
First, and most preferable, is to try the rogue class for yourself. It is an incredibly fun and versatile class that can conjure up answers to (almost) anything thrown at it. It is a resilient class that, despite nerfs, continues to persevere. It requires careful planning, thinking, and execution. It is not a class to engage in a game with if you are preoccupied, or if something else is demanding your attention while you play. If you choose this path, to join the ranks of rogue players who are kicking ass and taking names in this meta, then congratulations! I salute you, and welcome you to the fold.
My second option, should you choose to forego the first, is to in the words of our younger members of this forum, *ahem*, "git gud".
Just play Facehunter, Roque doesnt have any Heal at all. And yea Roque and Warrior are currently the most represented classes.
Yes they have heal, a ton actually. Zilliax, Zephyrs + Shadowstep, Galakrond armor enough to keep you alive and highroll the shit out of the game against your poor opponent.
I have never stated that I haven't played rogue myself. Because I have. And I do agree it's fun (altho i never seem to have the openers they have against me :D). But that wasn't really the point of the thread. My point was that I was pretty damn unlucky that night. Facing so many rogues and losing most games because they seem to find the right discover and draw all the time against me, even when I was playing a deck that is supposed to beat them consistently.
My 2nd point was to talk about other people's opinions and experiences in facing rogue. Do other people find it equally annoying to play against? And ofcourse finding another good deck to beat them consistently and getting past the last couple of games to get to legend (I'm stuck on rank 1-2 for a couple of days now).
Ofcourse I could always get better at the game, although I'm confident that I'm pretty good at it already. Improving my game is something I care about. But even if your the best player in the world, there will always be a lot of games in hearthstone that you lose because of RNG. and it was not on my side.
All in all, this thread was pretty useful for me: - I felt better after writing my experience, because it was a way to vent the salt out of my system. Sharing bad experiences can be very helpful to a person. - I've read other people's opinions, some were the same as mine, some weren't. - Some people gave me advice for a couple of decks that works very good against rogue. A couple of these decks I tried and they were mostly a success.

Hope this clarifies things for you :D
The problem with Rogue right now is that the Legendary of cost 6 has become much more consistent, so it can easily draw 7 cards and turn their cost 0. Yeah, the new Tempo Rogue is pretty annoying because i hardly arrive to turn 10, so cards like Alex just do not see play.
Rogue is like DeathStalker Rexxar Hunter was last year. Due to the busted discover dragon and spell lackeys they can out value matchups they shouldn't be able to. Those lackeys should not discover, but give random class spell or random dragon

Exactly, yesterday I fought a Tempo Rogue who almost outvalued Control Warrior (and it didn't out-valued me because I had a lucky Elysiana). They got the card with introduces 10 Warrior cards in the deck, so I got into fatigue before them. Can you believe that?
Wanna beat Rogue? play Rez Priest, decent winrate against them.
You know what also beats Rogue? Face Hunter.
And what does Face Hunter auto lose against? Res priest.
Your answer = Play fucking Rez Priest and nothing else.
Lol what? I never lost against Res Priest with Rogue. The matchup is favored towards Rogue. Ironically Rogue have much more value than any Priest deck.
Yeah I have a wide range of decks, 18 of them, and rogue seems to beat all of them. V frustrating as the games are v v similar. Am rank 5 and it feels completely infested with rogues. Every other game is rogue.
so strange as I only hit rank 5 last week, and pre 5 it felt v v diverse. Every class was represented. Now there are barely any priests, shamans, mages, or paladins. Just rogues, rogues more rogues, some warlocks, some hunters, the odd Druid then more rogues. And they all play identical rogue decks which all revolves around a ferocious mid game with a flood of free cards from galakrond and the wand.
would love tips as I think I’ve lost 100% of games and we are talking 30/40 games. Just can’t beat it.
I think the class is perfectly fine. Yes, it has its high rolls, but loses consistently to hunter, zoolock, handlock... Even token Druid if rogues draws too many heavy cost cards (and it happens a lot). The only free win is priest. The others matches up are actually very balanced, interesting (even just to watch) and fair.
It depends on the build. I was rolling over Rogues with a Dragon Hunter deck, and now I'm crushing Hunters with a Highlander Rogue deck... I've been rotating through some Rogue, Hunter and Warrior decks, changing every 4 games or so, and it keeps the game fresh... I start to tilt when I play the same decks against the same decks over and over. It's working pretty well.

It seems that if you play an anti-Rogue deck you will have an easy time climbing. Good luck!
I found my remedy at last, and now my guiding star is shining; and when my present becomes my past, I realise, that every cloud has a silver lining!
I've been ripping through rogues from 10 to 7 with my Highlander Dragon Hunter... I refuse to play Face decks.

I wish you well, in either event.
Yes they can, it's called Zephyrs , the great aka the worst designed card ever.
Yes they have heal, a ton actually. Zilliax, Zephyrs + Shadowstep, Galakrond armor enough to keep you alive and highroll the shit out of the game against your poor opponent.
A very constructive comment, which I appreciate.

IMO it's time to shove some tech cards in your decks, dude!

Finally Rogue is playable and has many decks, enjoy while you can.
Finally? As I'm posting this, the topic below is titled, "Why is Rogue never bad?"... When has Rogue not had a deck in the top 3 or 4 spots?
Lol what? I never lost against Res Priest with Rogue. The matchup is favored towards Rogue. Ironically Rogue have much more value than any Priest deck.
