If you're a fan of Warrior as a class, Control Warrior is viable right now, so Dr Boom and Boomship are crafts that you won't regret. From a neutral standpoint, I'm not sure there's a better neutral craft than Zillax.

I disagree that Zillax is a safe craft. People love shoving that card in so many decks and yet it's hardly ever useful. I mean if we are talking just about Boomsday yeah it's a good card, but if you look at the other expansions not so much.

You're entitled to your opinion, for sure. But really, the only other neutral Legendary cards worth crafting are Mecha CThun and possibly Subject 9. Subject 9 is really only playable in Hunter, Paladin and Mage because those are the only classes with enough secrets to pay off.. But none of those classes offer a viable secrets deck yet for the meta. Mecha CThun is not super reliable and doesn't have a high win rate in Warlock, Druid, Warrior, Rogue or Priest. Zillax is the best of them all because it's more of a utility card that pairs well with any mech. Good for at LEAST 3-6 health regen and 1-2 minion kills at the very least. I can't see how an argument can be made that it's not a great card with a variety of uses. It can even draw out kill spells.

The Combo itself is not the problem. Aviana + Kun is always the same, whatever the combo: basically an OTK.

Now look at Exodia Mage. Still an OTK deck. Yet, why is Combo Druid rampant (pun intended), while Exodia Mage is t4?

A correct and extensive answer (taking into account all the complex variables) will tell us what is the real edge of Combo Druid, and within that edge, what is problematic.

Personally, I think the Armor in Ferocious Howl, Branching Paths, Ultimate Infestation should be converted in Healing, which requires better planning against the curve (instead of current Armor up on curve).

I've always thought that Branching Paths' text should have read "Choose Two" not "Choose Twice". That way you're only entitled to gain 6 armor and not 12.. Not saying the card needs a nerf, just saying that the card would have been much more balanced with a Choose Two effect rather than a Choose Twice effect.

Your problem is that you're playing wild. I have d/e'd all my wild cards to focus on building strong standard decks. Much less to deal with.. With wild, it's so difficult to build a deck that is effective against all decks, because there are soooo many more possible decks.. I get that there are favourable matchups and unfavourable matchups in standard as well, but there are some really strong options available to you in standard that will win you more games than they will lose, such as Odd Rogue, Heal Zoolock, Control Warrior, Deathrattle Hunter. Combo decks are much less an issue in standard. Do yourself a favour and leave wild behind, as Blizzard clearly has.

Your problem is the fact that you don't know what are you talking about. Wild has way more decks, way more uderdog decks, way more options. You can clearly see the player satisfaction for both formats by looking trough hearhtpwn and comparing how much salt threads there are about Standard and how much about Wild.

You obviously did not read my comment. I was stating that Wild is too cluttered and that building a deck to tech against one specific problem will not win you many games as a whole.. I'm not sure what your issue is, besides obviously being salty about losing too many games to a deck that you can avoid playing against simply by switching to the Standard format.

This just in! Sonya is not even good outside of one deck that isn't even top tier. Extra, extra, read all about it!

    2x blink fox

    1x bloodknight

    1x owl

Would be my idea. I also run one assassinate instead of a second vilespine in case you don't have an activator for the combo.

Edit: and replace one leeroy with Baku :P

Always save an activator for your Vilespine.. Assassinate is a tempo swing in the wrong direction. At least with Vilespine, you get a 3/4 body along with the destroy action. A much better tempo play even if you have to wait until turn 6 to trigger it.

If you're on the coin, save your coin to activate Vilespine. Otherwise, save a 1 drop. The deck boasts a near 60% win rate, so even if you lose a few games not being able to trigger your Vilespine exactly when you need it, over a long span of games, you'll still be in a good spot.

    Just my 2 cents.
