and that wasn't even the most challenging part yet. Laddering itself was the most painful pain in the ass. Getting from Rank 5 to Legend was infinitely harder back then than it is today.

Turns out sticking a 7/7 turn 2 is the key. -

Psy_Kik posted a message on Announcing Runestones - With Usage and Frequent QuestionsPosted in: NewsIf Blizzard are really saving like 30% on a transaction, and skirting round perfectly fair and legitimate laws to try and ban games from pushing gambling at children, then they should be passing on that discount! Everything should be cheaper with runestones, not the same damn price.
Fuck mobile gaming.

Hing_ding posted a message on Announcing Runestones - With Usage and Frequent QuestionsPosted in: NewsSurcharge fees aren't a legit reason. Hearthstone easily makes enough money to cover them, and they're still gonna deal with transaction fees from selling the Runestones to begin with. Also "they need to keep the business running" is the same excuse for all awful practices in gaming, please don't fall for it. Hearthstone makes about $400 million a year already, it's very profitable so all of the extra monetization methods are just greed, plain and simple. This is Blizzard we're talking about, a company that makes redundancies during record profits and has some of the most overpaid executives in all of gaming.

Ophion-EU posted a message on Announcing Runestones - With Usage and Frequent QuestionsPosted in: NewsI don't see any good reason whatsoever for these to exist. If Blizzard wanted to avoid some flat transaction fee that some platforms may have then there is already a virtual currency that they could have used, it's called Battle.net Balance.
This currency only serves to disconnect you from how much you're actually spending by making you go through an intermediary currency with different values, and will undoubtedly at times leave you with spare change that you can only use on Hearthstone, not even on other Blizzard products.
There are several negatives for the consumer and absolutely zero positives. Purely a douche corporate move.

Sherman1986 posted a message on Ysera In ArenaPosted in: The ArenaQuote from MvonTzeskagrad >>Not sure it is a good idea anyways.
Some of the worst offenders in standard right now have 0 discover, and opponents might find themselves relying heavily on having/finding certain cards in their hand to answer them.
How worse can decks like Imp Warlock or "insert any druid here" be if other classes could not pull things out of nowhere to contest?
Well, having to pull things out of nowhere to deal with broken cards is just terrible design and says a lot about the game, which is entirely built around broken stuff and rng. Decks like Imp Warlock need to be nerfed as soon as possible, there is no doubt about it, but we were just talking about the feeling of the game in general, not the current state of Standard ladder.
We need a more balanced game with a lot less rng, but it is obvious easier to make it the other way around. That is the route Team 5 took many years ago, unfortunately.

Not just gaming. Most overpaid executives period.

There's this really cool tech card that destroys locations...
I put it in my climbing decks and get instant concedes from shaman, warlock and rogue when I'm able to counter.
The meta will adjust to this deck. There's a lot of counter available; local tech, mass silence, destroy weapons.
We'll be okay the deck doesn't always draw perfect as the OP describes. And even then, it's beatable.

At one point gatling gun priest was standard and it was nerfed from zero mana because it was oppressive.
So point is valid.

I think nature right the way it's worded. After not when...
The colossal are a good question how they resolve but my guess would also be the +minions cone into play.
However, that doesn't make it useless, far from it. This secret has win games potential when timed right...

That's wrong. We've had multiple totem t1 decks over the history of HS.
Selective memory.
Don't get me wrong a little totem token action is a good thing.

Who needs freeze when you can just eat the board everything.
I like the way you think!

For someone who played since beta, like myself, you of all people know games right now last between 3 and 15 minutes, even with 40 card decks and HPs.
There's nothing like the 45+ minute games of chess or dare I say it tying the match due to hitting the turn limit!
I also play at the gym and have no problem fitting in matches.
Maybe if you struggle instead of trying g to focus on two separate things, focus on why you're at the gym and I'm guessing it's not to play HS.
There's problems with the game right now for sure but it's not the length of matches lol.

Oh you're getting ripped off...
No 800% more value, no purchase!

While I've wanted this so bad in standard pirate warrior can still hit a turn 6 with coin lethal on 40 hp and DH can do it in 7.
Even against heals and armor up.
But it does feel better overall. No we just need to lose somenof the mana cheat casino decks and we may have a playable meta.

For years I pushed high legend. Then just legend. More recently D5 last month I stopped at D10 this month just not caring. It's not you.
Games eventually lose their excitement. It's normal. Be okay with it. Enjoy the game for what it is, a game.
