posted a message on Has Hearthstone already passed the test of time? What do you think?
    Quote from Sherman1986 >>

This article is terrible. Nowadays, we are full of improvised journalists who don't have the slightest idea of anything and talk nonsense. You cannot use SensorTower, Reddit, SullyGnome etc.. to present data and numbers. This article is just terrible and very bad written. Sources like SensorTower are estimating the number of users, and they multiply the estimated users by a coefficient (average game type) in order to obtain the revenue. But I mean, we have the Blizzard's financial statements eh. This information is public, we don't need an estimated like that. There are the active users inside the financial statement, check it and design the chart. Active users for Blizzard in general is going terribly.

Revenue is also a terrible benchmark. It doesn't mean anything if HS made 660 in revenue. Then if the costs were also 660 the profit is 0. Revenue presented like that is not a benchmark. You have to present it with costs and similar games. If Gwent for example made 120 revenue with 60 costs and HS made 660 revenue with 630 costs, what game is more successful in terms of revenue and profit, Gwent no? So, revenue, like this, is a stupid benchmark.

This article is also very inconsistent in the argument. Point 1: "Hearthstone has 4.5 million active monthly players". Point 6: "Hearthstone had 23.5 million active players in 2020". So, why the journalist is saying that the game is a success if with his fancy sources is declaring a disaster? He wrote that HS lost 19 million of active users in 2 years, and he is saying that it is a success. OK.

This article is just terrible. This is an argument for people that understand/know finance, and not for a kid and his fancy sources.

posted a message on 25.0.4 Patch Notes - Many Balance Changes - Arena and BG Changes Too & More

Dev Comment: This Brann-Anub’Rekhan combo is not a big winrate outlier, but it represents a play pattern we don’t like. We wanted to reduce lethality and remove the ability for the combo to let players dump their entire hand, while still allowing ramp strategies.

Good, but question. Why do you print it if it represents a play pattern that you don't like?

posted a message on Balancing wild format

Blizzard will never balance wild. Regarding all the excuses that we can give (like wild is wild, for example), the real reason is one: Money, like always. It is costly to balance wild and since this is an investment made poorly even in standard, there is no reason to believe future balances in wild. Blizz only wants money with very, very few investments. The path is always the same. Poor design, reprints, no balances. Cut costs, always, but increase costs for players (with skins, battlepass, signature cards etc..).  This seems Blizzard's overall strategies.

posted a message on 25.0.3 Patch Notes - Balance Changes For Constructed & Sire Denathrius Obtainability Change

I will quote myself. Post: https://www.hearthpwn.com/guides/9565-march-of-the-lich-king-card-list-release-date?page=2

I made this forecast the 16 November. This game is so predictable.

    Quote from Shipmen >>

    Forecast:

The new meta will be practically only DK Denathrius (because the class is new, strong and this class is op with Denathrius that it is very strong). We will have a meta again where whoever draws Denathrius for first wins.

After the first/second week,  Denathrius will be nerfed in the oblivion, and we will have a new meta where DKs will be around 50%.

It is always a circus in circle.

Now, I can forecast another nerf for Denathrius. It will still be too strong due to DK.

    Quote from ZCFlayer >>

Marvel Snap is a stupid game, it's really very simple. You go all in every time and hope for the best, you win if you drew better. That's the whole game pretty much!

Maybe more interesting cards or modes will come out at some point and make it more interesting. At the moment it's almost zero strategy required making it exceptionally boring once you played for a little while.

There's a lot HS could do better but it's orders of magnitude better than Snap is.

You can like it or dislike it. It is your personal opinion. Anyway. It is for sure not simple.
In my opinion once you tried and you have understood the game you realized that it is far more complex than HS. Yes at first impact it seems easy, you have to take at least 2 bases (but like it is HS. Kill your opponent, that’s it). But then you realize that it is not simple at all. And you have not to throw minions at random in the bases, but if you want to be good, you need math, strategy and probability. It is more complex than HS in many things.

    Quote from Hemive92 >>

Im playing Marvel SNAP for a month now, while with Hearthstone its an on/off kinda relationship.

Marvel SNAP is rlly easy to get the whole pool1&2 cards quickly (3 is a literal pain). Thing is you Play against opponents with around the Same collection Level as you, so even with a Low lvl you only Fight people with Low lvls. Thats the pro, the con is its getting old rlly fast and the Locations can screw your Deck so hard that its Impossible to win. The Games are either 4,6 or 7 Turns long.

Control Playstyle means sth completly different to Hearthstone, since you got No spells and you cant Go the Long game. They Point it Out as a pro, but thats only true for a certain playerbase. Which is fine, it doesnt need to suit everyone.

My biggest issues with Hearthstone was Always the cost. In the beginning i spent huge amounts to have an Always full collection, but with Standard i didnt bother anymore. I will preorder the DK bundle and i will Play Hearthstone again and sprinkle in Marvel SNAP for the daylies. SNAP is nothing to Play 24/7 at least for me, but its good enough to Play it mobile on the Go cause the Matches are so short.

    Thats my take.

I also started with Snap. I am in pool 3, I am level 820, and I have more or less 20 cards of pool 3. I am purchasing the battle pass, I purchased two of them, Spider-Man and Black Panther. (I played a lot of this game in the past days). So these are my conclusions:

    • The game is very diversified. There are a lot of features and things. There are decks to destroy opponent's win condition, to summon big things, to destroy and buffs your minions to lock things, to bounce stuffs in your hand, to cycle thing, discard deck, token deck and so on
    • There is obviously an HS contamination in it. It is clearly made by Brode. You have cards with "on reveal" which is the "battlecry"  the "ongoing" which is in HS the cards with text and no specific keyword (so the effect is on if the card is alive) and you have cards with deathrattle (like Bucky Barnes). You also have the silence, like Enchantress
    • Free to play in Snap is really possible. You need time to unlock everything. Around 4 months is the estimate for F2P.
    • The game is constantly updated. Every month there is a new card and with it, generally a new deck. Last month the new card was Spider-Man (Miles Morales) and this month Black Panther.
    • The concept of snap is amazing. It is amazing because it is a bet, it reminds me of poker when someone goes all in, and you call it
    • If you know the Marvel world, this game is also amazing. The relationship between cards effects, cards and real characters is awesome

So, I really like the game.

2 turns to combo. You will practically play 2 cards for 0 mana after the dead of the minion. The third turn, you will die at the start, so you will not play anything.

posted a message on The rune system won’t stay
    Quote from Shipmen >>

It's funny too see all these opinions about the rune system and all the reactions about other classes getting this , they obviously know nothing about world of warcraft haha

It is not a Wow point my friend. Every class in Wow has 3 talents types. So, every class should have 3 different types of cards, if we want to be aligned with Wow. In this way, it is only bad designed. And we can also argue that others classes are much more diversified than Dk. Dk is only dps and tank. Other classes are dps, tank and heler like pala or druid. So, why Dk has cards according to Wow talents and the others classes no?

I have been playing DK since the beta in 2008 , DK might have a DPS and Tank spec but they have more buttons to click than any class , dots , heals , shields , minions , ranged , melee DK is basicly multiple classes combined. Unholy can use nearly the same ability's as Blood besides a few , Talents don't have much to doo with this. That said Hearthstone DK isn't based on talents but Runes , for a long time DK could use any rune they wanted no matter what spec.

I also played WOW many years. My point is easy. If Blizzard wanted to follow WOW they had to add the same system to all classes, all or none. And your point that DK has more buttons to click is pointless. In this way, it is only a lazy/bad design. Because why DK? Just why is it new? They created a class that has nothing to do with the game. They created a strange hero power with a unique mechanic, they created "deck following talents".  I mean, innovation, for me is always well accepted, but you cannot create a class that out stand the others otherwise we will have a game based on only one class. And easy bet. HS will have a new meta, boring as hell because it will be only one class played. Anyway, I don't care.

In any case, the reason why Blizzard choose DK only is pretty easy. Money and time (I don't see any other practical reasons). But, Jesus. I can only laugh. They are selling cards so expensive, and they are so lazy to not even make the game aligned with what they are realizing?

You compare 2 different card games. And the animations in HS are still better then in Marvel SNAP.

Lich King should have been released on the start of the new standard season, but better late then never.

    HS is not going anywhere.

Animations are far better in Marvel Snap. HS can only dream these animations. Check the animation of Galactus for example, how cool is it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gy-VjFbF-x4

If you also know the Marvel's world, the relationship between animation/superpowers/effects of the cards is truly impressive.

Marvel Snap has also 4 animations:

    1. When you move the card from your hand to the battlefield
    2. When the card enters the battlefield
    3. When the card is in the battlefield
    4. When the card is killed

HS has only one animation (when the card enters the battlefield) for very few cards.

This post got me wondering what the greatest action movie of all time was. I thought maybe Terminator 2, Aliens, Die Hard…

So I applied Shipmen’s method. Turns out it’s not even close. The best action movie ever is Black Adam. In the week since it came out it’s been talked about more than all the others put together.

Sure. You should adjust your ability in searching, I think.

Dwayne Johnson literally tweeted that it was the greatest action movie ever.

if you disagree take it up with The Rock and stop trying to make me go off topic.

So, that was Dwayne’s and maybe Josh’s method not mine.
