Enraged_Koala posted a message on Reward Track Update Coming SoonPosted in: NewsOkay, that change for the > level 50 rewards is probably the most important one... i remember saying before that they need to spread the rewards out more, which is exactly what they did. I mean, the game is still way too expensive in every way, but this is better than nothing.

ShadowAldrius posted a message on New Mage Epic Card Revealed - Apexis BlastPosted in: NewsThese look like cool cards, the only problem I have with them is they have no default state. Two of these cards do literally nothing if you don't meet the requirement. So either they should be minions, or they should be like... "add one random spell card to your hand, if you have no minions in your deck then... etc." and "Summon a random 4-cost Mage minion, if you have no minions in your deck summon 3..."

DatMageDoe posted a message on New Mage Prime Legendary Card Revealed - Astromancer SolarianPosted in: NewsHow good is a randomly cast Mage spell that can only target enemies? The answer is, almost always a good thing. Let's break them down by effect, shall we? (for Standard post-rotation, only known cards - no way I'm doing this for Wild)
- Potentially detrimental : 1 (Conjurer's Calling)
- Secrets: 5
- Card Draw: 4
- Card Generation: 5
- Summon minion(s); 3
- Freezing: 5
- Single Target damage/removal: 9 (incl: 3 which can go face)
- Multi-target damage/removal: 9
- shrug: 1 (Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron)
Assuming Mage gets 4 spells this expansion, the odds of getting a Conjurer's Calling in Standard is around 13.8%. Wild has a lower 12.2% chance of getting either card which can be detrimental to you if cast on an enemy minions (Polymorph: Boar).
And for those curious, the odds of getting a Puzzle Box in Standard is the same as Conjurer's, at ~13.8%. For Wild, you're looking at a 6.2% chance.

user-100121793 posted a message on Ashes of Outland: Cards List, Release Date, & Expansion DetailsPosted in: GuidesThe changes are good, no question. However please do yourself a favour and don't invest to much into a card game until you have sorted your finances out. Bad financial situation can easily snowball and than take decades to recover.
If the changes are as good as it seams I and many other will pre-order. You don't need to save Blizzard yourself ;).

One upside to having your minions stolen by a Priest using Lazul's Scheme + Cabal Shadow Priest is that at least the stolen minion's attack will stay low until the next turn, making it easier to kill with your other minions.

The Convert power creep is real *facepalm*

Remember how Brass Knuckles saw no play? This is the same thing, except you HAVE to kill a weak minion for it to even proc. This won't see play

For some reason I read the card text as "Summon copies of all dragons in your hand" and I panicked

This card reminds me of Rin, the First Disciple because it's also a legendary deathrattle minion good for long, slow games. The upside of Hakkar, the Soulflayer is that he's neutral, and once his deathrattle goes off, you don't have to expend any more mana for his effect to kill your opponent. The downside though is that he costs 4 more mana than Rin, and doesn't have taunt, and his effect can be stopped by Skulking Geist, AND he can just kill you first if you happen to draw the Corrupted Bloods first and don't have enough healing.
Since it's neutral, though, maybe you could pull it off with something like Seeping Oozeling or other deathrattle synergies?
Also, are the Corrupted Blood cards affected by spell damage minions either player has on board?
2
To activate the deathrattle you have to cast a spell...but if the spell makes a copy of Zerek, does the copy keep the activated deathrattle? Or do you have to cast another spell on the copied Zerek to have the copy ALSO resummon? I hope my question makes sense.

Paladin has a bunch of semi-decent healing synergies, but in order for them to work you have to take damage. It's an archetype that can be good against burn and some aggro, but can't keep up against control or combo decks. If Paladin had cards like Flame Imp, it could be awesome.

Gloop sprayer just nerfed evolve effects and Spiteful Summoner, since previously, a random 8-drop was a pretty safe bet.

Seeing as how they design cards months in advance, I wouldn't be surprised if this was supposed to be on the follow-up turn to a 6-mana Spiteful Summoner

Dude, same! During Un'goro I opened two Quests in one pack once, and got a golden Pyros in another.
It makes me suspicious about the extra 20 packs they gave with the Witchwood pre-order this year, even though I know there are people every expansion who ask if they lowered the droprates.
