posted a message on New Mage Card - Power of Creation

It seems pretty good but there are still quite a few low roles for 6 mana creatures so I can see it only marking the cut in some control mage decks. This card will be godly in arena.

posted a message on How much did you spend on this game?

I feel like I’ve spent too much at this point but I still play the game regularly and I enjoy it. I’ve been playing since beta and have bought the pre-release expensive option every time and a bundle or two. I used to play a lot from arena also so I have pretty much every card in the game so far minus 7-8 legendaries not worth crafting. I think you can make a great collection just being good at arena. I just got burnt out after GvG so don’t play it as much.

posted a message on Worst pack opening in my last 3 years

I’ve opened 5 legendaries with one of them being gold in 56 packs so obviously I’m happy as this is way above average. However I’ve done pretty miserably the past two expansions. I think people only really notice when they don’t do as well as they hoped but easily forget the times they were lucky. Human nature.

This card will make value priest great again. It offers massive tempo when you can suddenly get some big boys out. Should be a lot of fun to play as well.

posted a message on What's wrong with Casual?

If it were up to me I’d remove the insentive for winning in casual by taking away quests from that mode. However that would harm new players which blizzard definitely won’t do. A solution would be to reward more gold for complting quests in ranked. This would pursuade a lot of those with tier 1 decks not to bother with casual.

posted a message on Bad matchup - help needed

So I’ve played a load of Taunt Druid and got to legend with it a few months ago. I’m surprised your still facing it a lot as I think it’s really fallen out of popularity. It’s major weakness is being rushed down so your beat chance of winning is just to be really aggressive. Of course I’f they high role and get ramp into Oakhrart there’s not much you can do but that happens not too often.

posted a message on When will players start calling for new nerfs?

Everyone's complaining that the nerfs weren't enough when in the past Blizzard just nuked cards that were problematic meaning they never saw play again.

I think they did a pretty good job this time. I've been seeing the old tier one decks being played but also a huge range of new ones which just weren't competitive as before. That should be the aim of nerfs. Not - oh I hate Cube Lock and Quest Rogue. Blizzard should nerf them so hard I never have to play that deck ever again. But - lets nerf a few key cards to bring down the power level of certain decks so other decks have a decent chance to be played and the game experience is more interesting as a result.

So many stupid players that don't actually know how to balance the game and just cry for nerfs because they think the only reason they're not legend is because of a certain card or certain deck.

posted a message on Most Popular Witchwood Decks of the Week From HearthPwn for May 20

I’m a little surprised not to see any mention of Taunt Druid. It’s still a very powerful deck and counters a lot of what’s being played in the meta right now. I have a positive win rate against Warlock and Priest especially and can still consistently beat Paladin. It’s got me to rank 2 so far and I’ll likely make legend soon. Games v control mage or shaman are some of the hardest due to their hard removal wrecking your combo but the match ups are not unbeatable.

posted a message on Warlock Is Ruining HearthStone In A Level Never Seen Before.

I’ve been playing HS since beta and I agree that Warlock has never been in a stronger place but Zoo also once dominated the meta and that was a very different kind of deck. I think people are mostly upset we now have a far more control orientated meta. I would like to see things revert back to more mid-range even though I like playing late game decks.  I hope this will happen with Nzoth rotating. Warlock will likely still be Tier 1 in the new expansion but it won’t be as oppesive as now. I used to play a lot of OG handlock and I really loved that deck. It wasn’t overpowered and lost to fast decks a lot more than Cubelock or Controlock. People often blame cheating out stuff but I actually think that it is heal that is the main problem. Back in the hand lock days the only heal you had was 2xhealbot and maybe 2x EarthenRing Farseer and Jaraxxus. It used to be a real skill knowing how to manage your health total and games were often very close and decided on you topdecking heal or your opponent topdecking burn. Taunted giants got countered by BGH burn or just weren’t enough. Current warlock has EZ heal and EZ taunt. I play it a lot and win with it a lot but I can’t say it’s more fun to play than hand lock was.

posted a message on How much gold/dust do you have saved up for WW?

I have about 19.5k in gold and 2500 in dust.

Every expansion so far I normally spend 10k gold on 100 packs and I buy the pre-order.

The rest of my gold will be used so I never have to worry about going broke in arena. I built up a huge amount of gold back in the day and I would always suggest new players or those with little gold play arena instead of buying packs.

My dust count it low because this last expansion has had so many must have epics and caved and crafted a lot. I like to be able to play every viable deck not just a couple of them. I think if I don’t get more lucky with my pack opening this time I might not be able to keep up as I have been even playing arena as much as I used to. This is of course Blizzards aim. They have been Increasing the number of ‘must have’ epics and legendaries each expansion. More Free packs mean nothing when each is one is often 40 dust and an epic is 400 to craft and rare to see in packs :/

    nope.......yet

     You mean ever OMEGALUL
I'm sorry to say that Blizz is unlikely to give people more free stuff. They changed the legendary dupe rule and they feel like that will be enough to satify people for eons to come.
I'd love to be able to get card backs that are missed after a few years via some possible means but I know that will never happen.

posted a message on This Is The Best Meta Ever?
    Quote from hillandder >>

Ok, a little early to jump conclusions but I really having fun with this new expansion, so many fun decks, even hunter is not boring anymore, almost every class have something to fight.

Only warrior sucks, it is a shame.

I mean it's still very early days so of course the meta is a lot of fun right now. It has been the same for almost every expansion. However it remains to be seen whether it will become stale if people find some really broken decks and it disolves into 2-4 cancer decks which is what normally happens.
Pretty encouraging so far that I haven't seen as much Raza priest and I haven't seen any broken aggro decks. Sure you can get rushed down by spell hunter and murlock pally if you draw bad as a control deck but they don't feel unbeatable. I've been having great fun with Taunt Druid running both Hadronox and N'Zoth, the Corruptor. It's really strong against aggro and midrange and loses to other control decks but only after a pretty big fight and usually in fatigue.
Also Warrior does not suck. I've been playing Recruit warrior both on wild and on standard ranked and it's very strong. I've been crushing on ladder whenever I don't face a pure aggro deck.

posted a message on How much gold do you make per month?

A long time ago I used to grind Arena and have a really good win rate at average 6-7+. I would probably make about 3-5k a month. I have over 8000 arena wins now and a pretty big collection but I don't play much arena anymore as I'm not as good as I used to be. It feels harder to get 10+ wins now days and arena doesn't feel as fun. Arena still remains the only way to get a lot of gold more than the crowd each month but you have to be willing to grind it a lot and be a winning player.

posted a message on What Gadgetzan should have been.

These changes don't say anything about the meta just how salty you are.

If you like to play rogue play it. There have been multiple players already. Making rank 1 legend with rogue lol. Miracle and Jade rogue are good decks.

    1. This is ironic since rogue uses patches a lot. I do think there should be more downside to running patches in a deck but this is an over nerf.

    2. Just lol. At least rogue has the best rager.

    3. Healing is just not a rogue thing and I'm not sure it ever will be. I like control also but it will never happen. I still love to play Nzoth rogue in wild with healbot so do that
