This is my contribution to control mage:

(if the other 2 were played the 3rd one should shine in yellow like Reno)

Even though it's hard to gather all 3 Spheres, I didn't like the idea of drawing 2 cards sice it would accelerate fatigue a lot. So it's some sort of Elise Starseeker: you can put it in your deck for a backup in control mirrors but you can't really relly on it or make your deck around it. Also the hero power is quite random, but it let's you make the decision to whether use it or not instead of just spamming it as you do with Lord Jaraxxus. I also considered making the hero power target a random charachter, but there are 51 collectible spells that cost 5 or more and the only ones that are really bad if targeted to an enemy are Blessed ChampionPower Word: TentaclesMoonglade Portal (which still gives you a minion), Dark Wispers (but only a 50% chance) and Lay on Hands (which still draws you 3 cards). There are still some bad ones such as DOOM!, but that's when desicion making comes in: you can chose to use it when you are in an even postition or save it fearing a board clear that could help your opponent more than you. And besides, I find this way of changing heroes really cool.

    Hope you like it!

Hey guys! That's the idea I've came up with

The idea is Al'ar is like an herald to his master

I didn't know which one I like the most. The first one could be nice to combine with Archmage Antonidas and it's probably more balanced, but the second version allows you to grab the others earlier. Also, if the two others have already been played, the third should shine in yellow like Reno.

I'm not sure if the hero power is too weak or to strong. I guess it's hard to evaluate since it could Pyro your opponent right in the face or Flamestrike an empty board. I added that it has to target an enemy because otherwise it would suck a lot imo. And probably Kael is expirienced enoght to not kill himself. Also I'm not sure about the art for the hero power, but couldn't find any better.

I think it's a cool way to change your hero, although the flavor is a bit weird. I'd like to hear some thoughts in balance, the hero power, wording, etc.

How about if the 3 spheres were in your hand? Then they would automatically be played into Kael. Fun way to change heroes, I agree. The hero power should be something like "Cast a random mage spell (enemy targets chosen randomly)" because fire spells are a bit complicated to understand at first.
Yeah, the hero power would be better that way, but maybe adding a "that costs 3 or more" balances it, since you can get all secrets and don't cast like an Arcane Explosion, which would probably suck. And althought Kael'thas is known for his ability with fire, lore-wise he masteries all three specs.
About Al'ar adding the spheres in your hand, I like it as it is right now. Depending of which one I eventually choose, you can play him on turn 7 to get the 4/5, the new hero -who would probably heal you- and 3 card draws. I prefer to force you to dig for them. It also warns your opponent so he can prepare for it, like Elise Starseeker does. Thanks for the feedback though!

EDIT: That's how it ended. I like it more, thx :D

I made this card a while ago and I feel it's fitting for the theme, so there you go. Thoughts?

I reduced the mana cost cause I found it a bit much and polished the text. Feedback is appreciated, I'm new on card creation :P
