It's fine the way it is. Demonwrath is the hero Gotham Gul'dan needs and it serves a different purpose than Hellfire. I'll sum why I disagree in a couple points:

    1. OP is basically suggesting that the average Warlock needs to run x4 Hellfire to stop aggro. Which is completely untrue, even in the sense that two of those four cards wouldn't damage your hero. If the meta is filled with Face Hunter you have to adapt by swapping in established cards that are good against aggression ( like Zombie Chow [/card], [card]Deathlord, etc). I'll be honest, I do like the whole Lord Jaraxxus synergy, but come on... We can't be changing a card over something so petty.
    2. OP is basically suggesting that one of these two cards shouldn't exist or they should be merged together. Changing anything about how Demonwrath works-- namely the reasoning for the petition-- defeats the purpose for the card's implementation to begin with. If this card is too similar to another of the same class than I don't see the point. We should just change the rules to allow more than two copies of the same card if that's how it is. Furthermore, if this card differs too much from its original design... shouldn't it just be taken out of the game? It's obviously not needed if biased players are going to nitpick it to death. :P

I'm not trying to hate, I'm just offering my perspective. Live and let live.

    1. I said nothing about aggro or Hellfire.  Hellfire has its place as an anti-aggro tool to be used by those who don't go full Demon.  That's like saying the logic behind Siltfin Spiritwalker is that Shaman needs x4 Cult Master to have card draw.  One is good in general, the other is better in a deck that's built around a certain type of minion.
    2. I like Hellfire.  It's nice that it exists, because it's the only thing making Handlock viable.  It does enough damage to clear out Mechwarpers and the like, which Demonwrath can't do.  Hellfire has its place, but it's counter-intuitive in a demon deck because it wipes away a Blood Imp.  The point of Demonwrath is to give Demon-based decks better tools and synergy.  I'm simply suggesting these changes so that it has a better feel to it.  The quality of life in this archetype has been somewhat lacking, and certain annoying problems (shortage of Floating Watcher procs, the "Demon" classification of Jaraxxus being non-beneficial and unclear until you get sacrificed and hit the keyboard with your forehead) could be solved with one simple change to the card text.

I'm not trying to hate, I'm just clarifying my perspective.

it's essentially a 3 mana concecrate in demonlock decks that proc ur egg for free.. what more do you want?

It just seems ridiculous that Demonwrath will have zero effect in a Demonlock-Demonlock matchup.  An archetype shouldn't get worse the more popular it becomes.  All I want is for Demon-based decks to be sensibly viable.

I can get behind this. I like the idea that it doesn't effect your Jaraxxus hero.

Though this may have been intended so that Guldan doesn't hurt himself.

Also, based on the text, does this mean if the opponent has Demons on the field, Demonwrath doesn't actually hurt them?

Yes, in both versions it becomes really bad in mirror matchups, but in the new version it will at least hit the face and buff your Floating Watchers (only yours, because it's not their turn).

Demonwrath is quite good in a Demon-themed deck.  However, it could do with a minor change to its card text.

Before: "Deal 2 damage to all non-Demon minions."

After: "Deal 2 damage to all non-Demons."

So what's the difference?  Well, this means the spell will hit heroes.  It can be used to finish off your opponent on those rare occasions which call for it, and it gives Warlocks another much-needed tool to buff up a Floating Watcher.

However, the Jaraxxus hero is still considered a Demon, meaning Demonwrath will no longer hurt your fragile new body if you transform into Jaraxxus.  Finally, Demon hero synergy that doesn't involve being killed instantly with a Sacrificial Pact.

Edit: This also means that, in a Demonlock-Demonlock mirror matchup, the spell will hurt both heroes equally, buffing your Floating Watchers but not your opponent's.  Otherwise it would be worthless, which is a problem if Demon decks become popular.

Just a small quality of life change.  Let's be honest, demons need a little love. ♥

posted a message on Jaraxxus obligatory for demonlock or not?

In a full demon deck, Mal'Ganis is actually more important than Jaraxxus, for a few reasons.

You're going to be throwing out Flame Imps, Pit Lords, and Dread Infernals.  With Jaraxxus, they become dead cards because you can't just take chunks out of your health like that.  With Mal'Ganis, however, they become far better, because you won't be taking any damage at all.

With Mal'Ganis, you can still life tap to draw cards, and doing so won't hurt you.  Because you'll be pulling out demons, they'll get the 2/2 buff and will usually be better than the 6/6 infernals you'd be chugging out with Jaraxxus.

Finally, if it comes down to fatigue, Mal'Ganis saves the day.

Also another Warlock can use Sacrificial pact and instakill you if you're Jaraxxus.  Not cool bro.

The correct answer gives infinite damage.

    Loremaster Cho x 1 Unstable Portal x 1 Mindvision x 2

    Play follows:

    Loremaster Cho 8 mana

    Unstable Portal : Sorceror's apprentice. 6 mana

    Play sorceror's apprentice. 6 mana

Mindvision : Unstable Portal. 6 mana.

Unstable Portal : warsong commander. 5 mana.

    Play warsong commander 5 mana.

    Mindvision x infinite.

Ready to win?  Mindvision steals unstable Portal.  4 mana left.  Unstable Portal: Van Cleef.

Play van cleef.  Every card played has increased his damage approaching infinite.  He gets charge from warsong commander.  Infinite damage with 4 mana to spair.

I don't think VanCleef get charge from Warsong. His battelcry comes before Warsong's effect. However, there's a infinite damage following your logic.

You play Cho and Sorcerer for 6, play 2 free portal,  get 2 more Sorcerer Apprentice for free, play another free portal, get a Antonidas. Profit.

Please explain how that gives infinite damage.

You play mind vision as many times as you want, so youve played as many cards as you want that turn. Then, when you finally get edwin, he has as much attack as you want and gets charge from warsong. Hence infinite damage

Actually, the damage isn't infinite.  After reaching a certain (incredibly high) amount of health, a minion simply dies.

Drawing cards from a shuffled deck means you could argue that the game is 100% luck.

The skill is inseparable from the luck, however, as "skill" in Hearthstone is measured by your ability to adapt to a rapidly changing situation, using the semi-randomized options you're given.

Total verdict would be 50% luck and 50% skill.  If you rely on luck, you have little skill, and if you rely on skill, luck will eventually fail you.

posted a message on Priest Decks ruin any fun I have in Hearthstone.

Well, I have some good news for you!  With the advent of Blackrock Mountain, Priests can make dragon decks that perfectly suit their card draw mechanics!  If dragon decks become popular, Priests will become one of the best classes in the game.

Also, Nefarian only adds to the card-stealing shenanigans.  Priest is weak but still frustrating.  Imagine what will happen if he's stronger and even MORE frustrating.

Being able to cast Flamestrike every turn would certainly put a stop to the aggro meta.
