Oh come on, Bolvar is only one of the strongest paladins to ever serve stormwind, a central plot point in a story arc or two, a prison keeper of one of Warcraft's greatest forces of evil, and ... I should probably stop there.

Turn 9 as a shaman and you're facing a zoolock with a full board that somehow hasn't managed to kill you by then so you play this guy, spirit wolves and two target dummies. You still lose because half of those creatures will probably hit your face or your game will end the turn after that one anyway.

or, if you really want to play 2 target dummies as shaman (the class that can effectively get a target dummy from hero power), you could play mogor and 2x target dummies turn 6.

Also, talking about a zoo deck that has full board and hasn't killed you come turn 9 is like talking about the moon falling to earth and not killing anybody before flying off into space. It can happen, but it isn't likely.

posted a message on Could hobgoblin be a viable card?

The misconception many people seem to have is that hobgoblin is meant to be the core of a strategy. It is not. It is better as an enhancer of a existing strategy. I think the best strategy I have seen was a pali-deck using it to enhance hero power and muster for battle, though it of course works well in other places.

posted a message on handlock: ancient watcher vs. ogre brute

I think the disagreement comes down to how you play the deck. When most people think handlock, they think a control deck that uses the number of cards in hand as a very valuable resource. Ogre Brute is widely agreed to be a primarily aggro card. So Ogre Brute doesn't fit the traditional handlock.

I would consider "to much" to be spending more than what you are getting is worth to you.

Knife Juggler is insane in a lot of decks, even 1 knife throw means he's a 4 damage 2 health 2 drop, and it keeps increasing.

Loatheb is insane, against Druids you can shut down the combo completely, it puts you ahead, our pulls you back from behind when used correctly.

They're the only 2 I really disagree with you Peckham :P

Knife Juggler: One throw doesn't make him a 4/2, unless he only deals damage once. I would place Knife Juggler at the level of a 4/2 when he gives one throw for every time he deals damage. Granted, it doesn't take much to reach that point in many decks and 6 stats is an insane 2 drop.

Loatheb: If your opponent has combo AND was planning on using it, then it stops combo. It only improves your situation when your opponent would have cast without you playing Loatheb or in response to you playing Loatheb without that ability. This is why I said it requires knowing when to use it and why I said I would not include it on this list.

posted a message on Cards which are good regrdless of the situation (guide for new players)

While I generally agree with you, There are a few I wouldn't include.

Elven Archer: While I agree is not a bad card, it is only really good early game and/or when that one damage is enough to kill something. This results in the card being bad in some relatively common situations.

Knife juggler: Only really worth a slot in the deck when you can reliably use the ability, only insane in a zoo deck.

Recombobulator: While an insane card when used correctly, it can ruin you if you play it incorrectly. Since you have said this guide is directed towards new players, I would assume they don't know when to use it and could easily hurt themselves in many situations.

Loatheb: Also requires knowing when to play it to get the value out of it.

Mogor: This card can hurt more then it helps when you need attacks to hit the right target.

Gazlowe: Requires the right deck and the right timing to get the value.

There are a few others I'm not sure about so I won't post them here.

Another question: I've read multiple threads in which people say that there's a bug in HS, and that sometimes cards just disappear.Has anybody experienced this?

first part: every computer game has bugs, and HS is a computer game, so HS has bugs. Because bugs exist, I have likely experienced them.

second part: I've never had my own hand vanish, but I have had cards vanish when I was spectating somebody (Typically because they played it and the system was catching up).

Welcome to Hearthstone and to Hearthpwn.

Since others are more qualified to speak on decks, I will give a slightly different type of advice.

    1. Don't make snap judgements on cards. Just because you keep loosing to a card doesn't make it OP or broken, and just because you don't see the use of a card doesn't make it terrible.

    2. When you look at online decks, read up on how it is intended to be played. Many decks carry certain cards for certain uses and playing them at the wrong time can severely hurt you.

    3. Don't get attached to one type of deck or to one class. It is good to learn all the classes and deck styles, at least enough to understand what they have.

    4. People on the internet don't always know what they are talking about, while other people post garbage intentionally. Keep this in mind when you look for assistance.

    5. The Pro players play in a different world from those lucky to break rank 15. They have much less room for error but the decks in play are much more standard. A deck that the Pro players would avoid like the plague might be an amazing deck for getting to rank 20.

    6. Remember it is just a game. Everyone has times where they forget this and it can cause stupid real life choices (I'm looking at you, pile of broken keyboards in my closet I will eventually salvage).

Edit: also, learning the difference between newb and noob never hurts.

It is worth using against any class, If you play it at the right time. The trick, like with Loatheb, is figuring out that right time.

    I didn't, and I don't know anybody who did.

A card that boosts numeric values in battlecrys/deathrattles wouldn't be inconceivable though.
