Why not a 4-mana Assassinate with Voodoo Doll then?  This is 5 mana.

Because this leaves you a 2/4 with a powerful effect and a 1/1 with poisonous that could clear off another minion unless it's removed.

Nice. Could be viable if Quest Hunter actually becomes playable.

And I know it's rotating, but how 'bout Tentacle of N'Zoth in wild?

Any way we could get the Witchwood deckbuilder to remove cards that are rotating when the "standard only" option is ticked?

Is it worth it to run Baku if you're just going to replace your hero power as soon as possible?

Fair point. That's how I feel about Lilian Voss, too. Even for meme purposes, the payoff is usually underwhelming.

At the very least it seems like they could have made it a discover effect.

posted a message on How much gold/dust have you saved for Witchwood?

Only about 2,000 gold. I just spent a bunch to hit a few of my pity timers. I have the preorder for WW, so I'm not really going to need to buy packs with gold.

Sitting on about 7,000 dust, though. Feels good. I started playing right before MSOG, and this is the first time I feel like I'm going to have enough resources to play pretty much any deck I want.

You should be able to get some easy casual Shaman wins with a token/bloodlust deck.

Edit: d'oh, didn't see you had a limited collection. It's gonna be a little bit tougher without Jade Claws [/card] and [card]Thing from Below.

I'd still recommend a low curve bloodlust finisher deck for Shaman, though. Looking at your collection, maybe try to go Murloc heavy, even.

like the old shaman with argent squire?

That's one option. Fire Fly and Dire Mole are also solid one-drops. Back those up with Flametongue Totem and Dire Wolf Alpha for favorable trades, and then some 3-cost taunts to protect your smaller minions (can't go wrong with Tar Creeper). You won't have a resilient board, really, but if you can chip away and constantly push 5-6 minions on board, Bloodlust will carry you to some wins.

Pretty good card. 5 mana 4/6 with "draw a card", or one of several decent combos with 1 and 2 drops. There's always been some experimentation within zoo, so I'm sure we'll see some decks running this.

Meh. You thought Hagatha was slow? 7 mana card that doesn't affect the board in any way. What are you even trying to draw at that point? What low cost spells are you even running that would allow you to draw before it gets removed? I doubt this ever sees play.

Awful card. Deathseer is unequivocally better.

Have fun getting totemic might and ice fishing.

The power level of the DKs is dependant on the deck synergy and the matchup.
We can't say yet if she'll get buffed by proxy cos if Shaman got other broken cards then this card could become a staple- and it could also become a counter to certain decks.
Atm it looks way too slow.. I don't know if Shaman will get anything strong enough to allow it to survive until turn 8 to contest refill-Paladin, and I can't see how a hand full of random spells will outvalue late game vs Warlock.
Agreed that it's going to be tough to clear several dude boards unless we get some better AOE, but Shaman can go toe-to-toe with almost anybody in the value game, imo. The slower Warlock decks will be losing a pretty significant part of their decks with N'Zoth rotating out, not to mention Hex counters so much of what the Warlock does to begin with. Even with Shaman in an awful spot right now I have a pretty strong win rate against control locks.
The biggest hurdle will be whether or not value and outlast control makes a comeback. So many of the control decks in recent metas have had other win conditions built in, and with Dirty Rat rotating out we don't have a way to break up combos.

Control decks usually have more spell than minions, you need a way to get minions over and over if you want to play the control game, no more minions then you have a dead hero power. Shaman barely has minions that can affect board control in a immediate way like flame ele. You need a minion heavy deck or a way to generate some with stuff like Spirit Echo.

If only the hero power was about summon and not play, it would have been a different story because then cards such as Feral spirit would be insane.

But anyway, you need a lot of minions or then you'll run out of steam but you'll meat the issue with her battlecry.

The card is good but the rest of shaman's pool is highly messy so putting up a deck that has everything you need to make this work is very very hard.

I think there's plenty of room for minions in a control Shaman deck. Cards like Stonehill Defender, and Zola the Gorgon can generate lots of minions in hand while still leaving plenty of room for spells, especially paired with Murmuring Elemental.
I don't know if Grumble will makes its way into this kind of archetype, but that's obviously another way to get extra value out of the hero power.

Are you playing Coldlight Seer and Gentle Megasaur? Those are crucial for getting out of range against AOE. In the current meta that's usually turn 4 (Duskbreaker, Hellfire), though Defile can wipe you out at any time. Make sure your minions are out of range going into that.

For board control matchups, particularly against classes with weapons, consider holding Righteous Protector and using it defensively when you have more valuable cards to protect rather than just tempo'ing it on turn 1.

I remember a game where I had more than 60 armor + 30 life as Druid and lost to Exodia. I think « real time » should be an option to survive that combo.

It is, but I think it takes about 230 armor. I forget the exact number; somebody theory-crafted it and they sometimes mentioned it during tournament streams.
