posted a message on What was your most hated pack?

I feel like I pulled nothing but garbage out of my Un'Goro packs. I don't remember a specific pack, but I came away from my preorder opening splurge with zero meta deck legendaries (just The Voraxx and King Mosh) and very few of the playable epics. Tar Lurker was the bane of my existence; it felt like I was getting one every other pack. I also ended up with about five Tortollan Primalists (though admittedly, it's become one of my favorite meme cards, particularly in conjunction with Murmuring Elemental.

posted a message on Decks for AFTER the cycle?

Big Spell Mage is in tact. Ice Block is gone, but I don't personally run it. Same for Medivh and Firelands Portal. The biggest loss to me is Dirty Rat, but there aren't a lot of combo decks these days so it's not all that crucial.

I don't really see any cards from the new expansion that fit into it (yet), but the rotation should hit secret Mage hard, which means one positively awful matchup will go away. Spell Hunter and Big Priest are losing their big early win condition, too, which leaves the deck with very few polarizing unfavorable matchups.

I will, just as soon as an expansion disappoints me. But I'm not going to preemptively boycott just because I think a set looks underwhelming; there's absolutely no way to predict how interesting the meta will be at this point.

Unexpected Treason is a really cool concept. Would that one be a battlecry effect? For instance, if you managed to stick it onto an opposing Voidlord and your opponent cheated it out with Skull or Possessed Lackey, does it still come to your side of the board?

Hurray! Something to do on turn 2!

This is an amazing card if tempo Warrior takes off. It curves perfectly into Militia Commander, but worst case scenario it's just a playable board control tool like Jade Claws.

posted a message on New Priest Legendary - Lady in White

It makes for some interesting deck-building decisions for a few reasons.

    1) As has already been mentioned, Twilight Drake becomes a dead card if you draw it after playing this. Ideally that's an on-curve play, but anti-synergies are never ideal.

    2) It's kind of a nerf to Twilight Acolyte. You gain some stats, but you're also giving them to your opponent when you use it on an enemy minion, and you lose the Cabal Shadow Priest combo.

    3) It's a 6-cost card, which means it's not an optimal on-curve play in Spiteful Priest. You'd rather play Spiteful Summoner and, in some matchups, Skulking Geist.

None of that is to say it's a bad card, but it's not just an autoinclude in every Priest archetype.

*seriously not trolling, just wondering why you aren't happy with Warpath*

I hate Warpath, because if I wanna cast it once, it's worse than Whirlwind, it's a DK hero power in a card. If I wanna cast it twice the Blood Razor is insanely better. And I can't imagine a scenario where I need to cast it 3 or 4 times. 6 mana for 3 damage AOE? u kidding? 8 mana for a flamestrike that also affect's your board? no thank you.
It's a control warrior tool, really, and those games go long. A turn 10 5-damage AOE that gets through divine shields and deathrattle summoned minions is pretty nice, particularly when it also has early game application.

posted a message on Has Hearthstone always been this aggressive?

I disagree that this is a control meta relatively speaking. Sure, aggro decks aren't as fast as they used to be, but they're still prevalent and this is one of the least diverse metas we've ever had among control decks.

MSOG had an interesting dynamic between renolock, reno mage, jade druid, and dragon priest. Un'goro made taunt warrior and control paladin viable.

Now we just have control lock, a niche deck in big spell mage, and a lousy win rate mill rogue deck that people for some reason play. Everything else is looking to flood the board, go face, or create a big swing turn on turn 6 or earlier.

I kind of think we're getting one. They have to replace Maelstrom Portal with some form of cheap AOE.
