This cycle version is better vs aggro, worse vs control. Against control you live or die by your C'thun. If it gets polymorphed, hexed, or stolen, you have a very high chance of losing. If it dies as C'thun and you get off the Brann + Doomcaller combo, you have a decent chance to win.
It's a good deck, but requires a bit of thought to play. As a result all the SMOrcs are flooding the comments, "Me must trade? Me no hit face? Deck is stoopid!"
As Baard said, the loot hoarders help keep the deck more consistent.
(Took a look at the video and apparently he scrapped most of the Pyro combo at some point, including the pyros themselves. I would hazard a guess he was running into fewer aggro decks so tuned the deck to be more reliable vs control.)
As figjam said there isn't any direct replacement to Vek'lor. The point of it is you combo it with Brann and get 3x 4/6 taunts, no other card can do that. Arcanosmith can also pop out an extra taunt, but 3/2 0/5 0/5 is very different to 4/6 4/6 4/6. If you don't have Vek'lor and can't/don't want to craft it, your next best option might be a Bog Creeper or a second [card]Ancient Shieldbearer[/card].
@Lajko it seems your issue with the deck is that the uploader just copypasta'd it from a pro player, right? While that's true, and it's hardly something the uploader deserves much praise for, I think this is/was the first version of the deck uploaded to this site. As far as I know, Kolento himself doesn't bother uploading to this site. As such, I don't think it's unreasonable for one person to put up a useful deck on a site where it isn't otherwise available. (Though yes, I myself first saw the deck on tempostorm and others could find it there as well). Though believe me, I feel ya. I put in the effort to craft some decks and write guides for them and they just get ignored. Sucks that a copypasta deck has more upvotes than all of mine put together.. but dem's the breaks.
@Guy saying deck is bad because he lost with it. At rank 5-4 I'm currently 10-1 with this deck. I guess you never considered the option that if you suck with the deck, maybe the deck isn't the problem?
Interesting deck. Unfortunately I keep hovering around a 50-60% winrate at rank 5 (not terrible, but not all that great either). Currently sitting on 8-7 (53%). Not sure if I'm not playing it right or the meta isn't as great for it anymore, I haven't played enough games so it's just variance, or some combination of the three.
Tried your version as listed for most of the games, then around last 4 or 5 games I swapped Blood Knight and Stand Against Darkness for 2 Loot Hoarder since the deck was feeling inconsistent in terms of card draw. My change didn't really seem to make much of a difference. Some games I'm sitting there with 2 Divine Favor in my hand and my opponent only has 2 cards, next game my opponent has 7 cards and I can't find a Divine Favor for the life of me.
All in all it was an entertaining deck to try, but I was not as successful with it as I would have liked.
Yeah Brann + Gormok would probably work well in this deck. There's plenty of minions to activate Gormok, and plenty of battlecries for Brann. Unfortunately I don't own Gormok so I can't really test that.
I do like Crazed Alchemist in Zoo, but there's already plenty of 2 drops. I was thinking of swapping out the Eggs for 1 of each Imp Gang Boss and Darkshire Councilmen to try them out. Soulfire is a good idea too.
It's a pretty standard midrange shaman deck. Not exactly a tier 1 deck, but if you can't win a single match with it you must either be trolling or god-awful at this game.
I'm quite a fan on this deck. It feels sort of like a fast version of a control deck. Played it a bit around rank 11 and went 6-1. I really like these cycle heavy warrior decks, and using C'thun instead of Worgen OTK is a nice adaptation.
Pretty silly that a third party app is necessary to see common stats like these, especially since apparently the game already records them, just doesn't bother to display any of it? Is this part of the whole "Blizzard thinks we're all absolute morons" thing? Too many numbers on the screen would confuse us? :/
An interesting, albeit somewhat simplified, take on C'thun Druid. Cards notably absent include Fandral Staghelm (and his usual companions Living Roots and Raven Idol), as well as Azure Drake and Mulch. (I was actually looking for a list that didn't run Fandral since I don't own him myself).
I haven't been having much success with the variation of the deck I usually run, so I'll give yours a try. Although given that the deck hasn't been updated in months, I would guess you've made some changes since then.
This is a nice look back at the history of cards before they got smacked in the face and/or groin with the Nerf Bat. Well done. Though you did miss some oldies, as well as some new ones that joined the ranks with the release of Standard. That I can remember:

Ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe, the problem is that you're bad?

Ever consider the possibility that you're just bad?

wut? This deck is specifically a C'thun deck geared to be anti-aggro. lol

I believe Kolento did add a Brawl to his deck, but iirc he did
-2 Commanding Shout
+1 Shield Block
+1 Brawl

Starving Buzzard used to be a 2 mana 2/1, Unleash the Hounds used to be 2 mana.
