Threshdrinks posted a message on Spirit ClawsPosted in: Spirit ClawsHaving a weapon that is only 25% of the times good is not consistant enough.
And there aren't many spell minions I'd want in my deck early on, there aren't many to begin with. Bloodmage would be an ok turn 2 play, but you only have 1 of it. Consistancy it very important for a card to be viable. It should be either consistant, or really inconsistant but some times amazingly good (yogg).
They always try to push the damage spell back into the game, but they are too afraid to give us more tools for such a deck. Blizard really over values spell damage, and if they won't stop looking at spell damage as a 1 mana stat value, we will never see a vaild deck that will utilize many tools of spell damage. -

sherr posted a message on Hammer of TwilightPosted in: Hammer of Twilightthat is the bad thing. If it was 4 mana weapon with 1 mana overload it would be much better,

xfsw posted a message on Hammer of TwilightPosted in: Hammer of Twilightif i will play hunter i'd love to see shamans face going into my taunt misha. Wyrmrest Agent, Armorsmith, Frothing are 2 drops. Clearing 2 drops on turn 5 feels bad man. Making 2 swings to clear single minion is suicidal. Basicaly the cases you described doesn't make sense except Flamewaker and Blackwing Corruptor (still corruptor will have it's battlecry value and deal 5 damage to your face which is huge, same as heckler)

xfsw posted a message on Hammer of TwilightPosted in: Hammer of Twilight4 damage is bad. The only good target besides 2-3 drops for it is Azure Drake. Emperor Thaurissan, Sylvanas, Druid of the Claw, Ancient of Lore, Tuskar Jouster, Sunwalker (probably return in standard), etc. The 5 damage mark is a LOT more valuable than 4. People compare it to Death's Bite but forget that the second swing of Death's Bite actualy deals 5 damage with deathrattle whirlwind which is a HUGE difference bro's aswell as a 1 less mana cost. That is a big deal to kill belchers, thaurissans, etc with one-shot. I bet you will often see how Shaman's will need that 1 extra damage after using this weapon.
I'm not saying though it's bad. The deathrattle effect is realy good. You remove enemy minion with weapon and instantly gain a threatening board presence for free (4 damage minion is great).
Overal very nice hammer.

Tuskar Totemic was mediocre when it came out. Totem shaman was like a tier 4 deck, crap you play for fun.

no, that's shit.

Hogger is crap! It's not like patron, you can't spawn a bunch of these dudes. He will likely average out to just be an 8/8 for 7, which is mediocre to bad.
Thus far I like N'zoth the most. I want to play with the rogue, shaman, and paladin legendaries though.

So skip turn 4 to play a 4 mana shadowform. Yah, I am sure you won't get tempo'd out like crazy! I mean shadow priests do it all the time, while only skipping turn 3, and they have amazing board clears (unlike shaman), Yah that will work...
