Tuskar Totemic was mediocre when it came out.  Totem shaman was like a tier 4 deck, crap you play for fun.

Hogger is crap!  It's not like patron, you can't spawn a bunch of these dudes.  He will likely average out to just be an 8/8 for 7, which is mediocre to bad.

Thus far I like N'zoth the most.  I want to play with the rogue, shaman, and paladin legendaries though.

So skip turn 4 to play a 4 mana shadowform.   Yah, I am sure you won't get tempo'd out like crazy!  I mean shadow priests do it all the time, while only skipping turn 3, and they have amazing board clears (unlike shaman),  Yah that will work...

Overload is a great mechanic if it's designed on cards well like Totem Golem and Lightning Storm.

     LIghtning storm is crap.

Those who think that overlaod is fine are dumb.

Look at the shitty card we get for the shitty draw back we get.

Its not even value : lava burst - 5 mana - 5 damages. How bad is that ?

Overload is fine, the cards we get with overload are generally shit.

Better than Warlock, whose cards get "minimal advantages" for unpropotional downsides most of the time.

most of them, except Doomguard and Flame Imp those two got a good tradeoff, also Soulfire to some extend.
That's the class mechanic Blizzard decided to give to shaman.. there isn't much you can do about it.. and a 2/3 taunt is 2.5 mana worth so it's equal to 5 mana it's a great card if you want to stall.
Warrior just got a 3/4 taunt for 3.  Druid has 2/3 or 3/2 taunt for 2.   The wolves are worth 2 mana each.   The fact you can play 2 at once is worth something, but it's usually not worth 1 mana as they trade very poorly.

Elemental Destruction is conditionally more dangerous to your enemy than Flamestrike. Destroying your own minions HAS to be worked into your strategy. With no spell power bonuses, it will AT THE VERY LEAST do as much damage as Flamestrike. If you get lucky enough to drop a Wrath of Air Totem just before playing it, you can wipe most midrange threats from the board which is devastating to your opponent. The best results are achieved when you have other [1-3 mana] minions in your hand that you play immediately following the board wipe (before your turn ends and the overload goes into effect). When this happens you can essentially mitigate the potential tempo loss on your next turn.

This is also a good example of how to make overload work for you as a bonus rather than a punishment.

You basically need lava shock, another shit shaman card, for elemental destruction to be even half decent.  Also, do you know what other 2 card combo clears the board?  Equality Consecration, and it does it far better than the shaman version!
It seems shaman are basically destined to get worse versions of shit other classes get.
    4 mana arcane intellect
    A shitty mana work
    A shitty flamewaker
    A shielded minibot with overload
    Yah!!!

posted a message on The term huntard is degrading, derogatory, childish, and offensive towards those with mental disabilities

    Quote from Ballinglikeafool >>

Um, the term "Dragon Consort" is derogatory toward those within the asexual community that identify as Dragon Aspects. Check your privilege.

This is not comparable. The way retarted is used to describe Huntards strongly implies negative connotations in means to belittle the person playing a certain deck or class. Consequently, a person using that phrase implies that being retarted (in the classical sense of having an intellectual disability) in socially bad and undesired. Now this is not very fun to read if you suffer from an illness that could be described by that term. It's rather more comparable to the N-word that has ages ago has been frequently used in everyday language to belittle a person of a certain ethnicity.  Today, that word is socially unacceptable due to the negative connotations implied within it, which is a very good reason.
I personally do not think we should ban the word, but I hope that its use eventually waters down. To say that people are just being overly sensitive is a bit of a bad argument, unless you yourself do suffer from a mental illness and have inside knowledge of how it feels to be on the receiving end. I mean, you wouldn't have told a colored person they're being overly sensitive if you use the N-word in a negative way in their presence and they do take offense.
OP bring up an interesting subject but I think that this is not the right type of forum to discuss such a deep linguistic and social issue as most responses will be quick and defensive. I also had hoped he would have exteneded his argument and added some actual points.
That being said, I found an interesting social studies article about overuse this very phrase, which I suggest you read if you're interested :) http://www.academia.edu/477376/The_Uses_and_Implications_of_the_Term_Retarded_on_YouTube
You sir are being very offensive!
I sexually Identify as an Attack Helicopter. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over the oilfields dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting foreigners. People say to me that a person being a helicopter is Impossible and I’m fucking retarded but I don’t care, I’m beautiful. I’m having a plastic surgeon install rotary blades, 30 mm cannons and AMG-114 Hellfire missiles on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me “Apache” and respect my right to kill from above and kill needlessly. If you can’t accept me you’re a heliphobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Quote from agithore >>

Mech Shaman looks like fun deck and I was wondering why there isn't more of it at the moment. Considering Mech Mage is some-what playable, why is Mech Shaman not on the same level?

Because it's nowhere near as good.  We don't have broken cards.  Our hero power is nearly totally useless.  etc..

It's tier 4 alongside all the other shaman decks.

posted a message on The worst stage of the game: OP cards, no feedback, frustrating meta. Time to leave?
    Quote from gonza2k3 >>

I play since Nov 2014 and this game is getting worse continuously. I think TGT was the worst expansion, since it just enlarged the difference between the already good classes (warrior, druid, paladin) with the far weakests ones (Priest, Shaman, Rogue).
Why? It added to some (and it is the break) existing decks the exactly extremely powerful cards they lacked, such as "Living Roots", "Darnassus Aspirant", "Bash", "Justicar Trueheart" (for paladin and even worse, warrior), "Murloc Knight"; and nothing to what were good decks such as Mech ones, Control Priest, Oil Rogue, even Handlock and Zoolock.
This, in addition to the new insane OP cards and the old ones that weren't removed (Mysterius Challenger, Dr. Boom, Mad Scientist, Tirion, Antonidas) , made the game just unplayable.
The result? A meta-game infested of Secret Paladin, Control Warrior and Combo Druid, the most frustrating OP decks to play against in the game's history. Think a second about that, new decks are infinitely worse than old decks. It would be a nice dream to play against Mech Mage, Tempo Mage, Zoolock, old classic Paladin, Mech Shaman, classic Priest, classic Rogue, and even Face Hunter or Patron Warrior!!
So, what's the worse part and why i am uninstalling? Because there is no feedback from Blizzard to player's claims, and the changes (in the case that exists) may take months.
It's really sad to think how HS became this, and that will be really hard to repair the damage done. I wish Blizzard react and can save this, and I (and a lot of other players for sure) can come back.

The truth is that Blizzard is all about the money now!  They never expected anything out of this game, and they don't want to invest much into it.  They tried balancing some stuff in the past, and failed miserably, which is why they have quit trying altogether.  It's much cheaper to ignore it, than is it to pay people to test, fail, and then look like incompetent to boot.  In their eyes, that's wasted money and development time that could be used in developing new cards, which generates money, rather than cost it.
It's all about the dollars and cents.
