Good arena card, similar to Shattered Sun Cleric in its Battlecry, with better stats to make up for the fact that the buff doesn't immediately have the same board impact (such as if SSC was used on a minion that could attack this turn).
Obviously not strong enough for constructed, but I'll be happy to see this in an Arena draft
I got Edwin VanCleef and was pretty disappointed because he was one of the 4 classic class legendaries I already had.
Then in my 9th pack I got Baron Geddon and a GOLDEN Al'Akir the Windlord, both of which were new to me. Also got an epic I needed and 965 dust. I'm quite happy.
It's just a pile of stats with a condition to be met to earn them. With no taunt and no beast synergy. It doesn't have the 5 attack needed for clearing larger minions, and can be silenced back down to a 4/5.
So It's pretty clear that Whispers of the Old Gods will be the new expansion, so if there is also a new mechanic that is introduced what do you think it might be?
I'm guessing the keyword is Whisper itself since they normally follow whatever the expansion/adventure's theme is.
So here's my guess
Whisper - Player chooses a fate that affects both players
I am guessing that they will somehow incorporate the past Tavern Brawl into the mechanic and have cards that prompt different fates not just the ones that were shown in the Tavern Brawl. It's a pretty bold move as it might affect too much of how HS is played now, so I'm not sure. Just a guess.
What do you think?
It seems that this may be the direction the game is headed, and I'm less excited about it than most others seem to be. Not only because it will be difficult to balance, but also because it's very restrictive to deck construction.
Implementing "Fates" that permanently or temporarily affect one or both players widens the gap between those archetypes of decks that Blizzard "intended" for people to create when cards were released, and those that are "unintended" creations discovered by players.
For instance, let's say I want to build a Priest deck completely centered around using Confuse on high-health minions for a huge burst of damage. This is already not going to be up to par with the strongest decks in the game, like Freeze Mage. But if I really refine the deck and become skilled at piloting it, I might be able to make it viable at some ranks.
Under the new system, there would likely be a Fate that would be particularly useful to Freeze Mage, as it is such a popular and well-known archetype, but unlikely that something like Confuse Priest would get such a particularly good Fate. Or if it did, some other creative, less-popular deck would be lacking a good Fate. Fates, as many people seem to desire, could further separate the best decks from the average decks from the below average decks, meaning the ladder would become even more centered on only 3-4 OP decks, punishing anyone who trying to just have fun with their cards.
tl;dr Permanent effects make the rich richer, which may make the meta grow stale quickly

Are we not going to talk about the real issue here? The artwork is terrible. Why is he so fat???

This was based on the cards I have in my current collection.

Destroyed minions include uncollectable minions like imps, silver hand recruits, damaged golem, etc.

Question: Is it really any better than a Druid of the Fang?

This card might be really good if Pally gets some sort of mass buff card for 5 or less mana.
Preferably something like 4 mana give all minions +1/+3. Would that be OP? Too weak?

Your opponent can still play secrets, but they're going to have to burn a spell after each one.
