DomonX1 posted a message on Darnassus AspirantPosted in: Darnassus AspirantI didn't say that this card will not see play, this is great threat in 2 turn and i think ramp druids will play it for 4th and 3th Wild Growth. Just said it will replace Wild Growth in some druid deck that do not need ramp that much.

teh_axi posted a message on New Card - Savage CombatantPosted in: Card DiscussionWow this card is really quite nice, being able to ping for 3 after getting this guy out early is gonna be pretty good.
If it had Yeti stats that would be the dream, can't have everything I suppose.

iMPose posted a message on Skill to luck ratio in hearthstone?Posted in: General DiscussionFirst, "having the cards" is table stakes if you're serious about winning. That's like saying poker requires you to "have money" to bet.
For the best Hearthstone players (Kolento, Firebat, StrifeCro, etc.), the game is probably 80% skill. But when you pair two of them up (which happens frequently in tournament settings), their skill and misplays will be approximately equal, so that luck plays a much bigger factor.
If I was to play one of those players, I would probably lose 95% of my games, simply because their skill level (knowing what plays to make when) is far beyond mine. Luck wouldn't play much of a role.
Turn things down a notch, and match me up against a player of equivalent skill, and the luck becomes more important, because we're going to make approximately the same number of stupid plays.
In conclusion: the closer approximate "skill levels" of the players, the more luck's effect approaches 100%. The greater the skill differential, luck probably drops to near 0%. (I would say it never reaches 100% because there's always the aspect of preparation and making the right deck building choices. And it never reaches 0% because we're talking about a card game.)

Uyappy posted a message on Sjow's Token DruidPosted in: Sjow's Token DruidThis is a more pressuring-your-opponent style of Token, so two Force of Nature is essential. Loatheb is also better than Cairne because Cairne is much slower while Loatheb stops your opponent boardclearing your lethal next turn.

Harrison is going to be much more important after the release of TGT and the meta slows down. I don't even play Baron anymore in my warrior deck.
Also Harrison is used in a lot more decks so it is definitely more useful to have him.

aye that classic aggro deck that runs a tribe with 90% of its minions above 8 mana.
spot on mate.

Realistic Druid deck, post TGT with the cards so far. Let me know what you think

why on earth would you hero power and pass on turn 7 if you have boom in hand? they can be played without being part of the buff you know?
Honestly one of the most idiotic posts I have seen on this site.

Yeti stats would have been insane. Although if this is played on curve it is likely to survive.
I think this innervated out against aggro decks would give you an insane amount of control.

I run revenge instead of whirlwind. Normally the one mana isn't needed and the deal 3 damage is a huge boost. won me a few games against patron warrior and quartermaster paladin.

Frighteningly good in control druid. Drop this on 7/8... if they deal with the bots, then fine, enjoy the damage but if they don't it takes the turn 9 combo to the next level

Wicked deck. Nice to finally see something different in this Meta!!

I wouldn't use flare. Not enough secrets played in this meta. Can't tell you enough how amazing the Oasis Snapjaw-Houndmaster combo is. Decks like this are vulnerable to the face so an explosive trap and Oasis combo can solve this.
